Dealing wiht the aftermath of it all [Open]

Characters: Meiling and anyone who finds her
Location: Dorms- 5-18
Summary: Reacting to what has been learned, Someone is trying to re-center herself..and not doing a very good job at it
Warnings: Flying objects?

If one was looking for Meiling, they would not find her in any of her normal spots. She didn't want to be found anytime soon. She knew someone would find her eventually but for now, she was safe to just let go. She had seen the video on the network and had enough for the moment. So she went to hide and be alone for the moment.

She closed the door behind her and stood in the center, letting out a scream and let her mind just fall into the emotions that she had been holding back. Sadness at losing Vanellope, wishing she could have said goodbye to the little girl, Rage at what had been seen when they went into the elevator and dealt with it all, Fear and Pain at what Jason put Feferi, Gamzee, Tavros and herself when they got caught and then the fear at that video just now.

Her body went into the motions of fighting, punching the walls, throwing the empty trunks and then after all was said and down, sliding into the far corner of the room, just curled up with her knees to her chest. Her hat is laying on one of the beds, fallen off during her moment of mindless movement. Face hidden, she is silently crying, just unsure of how to take this all now. One things she knew for sure..she needed to calm down and get back to her friends and family, show them she was okay....even if inside she was not. She needed to be strong and protect them from this news...however she could.

If that door were to open, she would never notice...but she didn't expect anyone to find her..so why even pay attention to it....?

Meling! Meiling where are you!

[Wriggle's yells can be heard echoing down the hallway long before she finds the room Meiling is in. As the door slams open the frantic expression on her face softens a little but not my much. She looks absolutely exhausted, there are dark circles under her eyes and her face is grubby as if she had been crying. Wriggle wheezes so hard it almost seems like she can't breath as she takes another uneasy step into the room. When she speaks again her voice is strained]

Meiling, what... what happened? What's going on? D-did you see it? On the screens? And with the fog and the voices and... and... Meiling?

[ The moment that Meiling had disappeared, Sakuya had been looking for her. It didn't help that she, too, had been taken at one point for cleaning services. She came back as if she was in a stupor, the memory of assisting the tower employees but a blur.

It just so happens she hears her scream in rage and sees her training and sinking to the ground. Sakuya enters quietly, her voice soft. ] M...Meiling.

[At first Meiling won't move, thinking she was hearing things. But then after hearing her name a few times, she looks up, obviously not composed in any way. She reaches up and wipes at her eyes. She makes a move to try and get up but that does not work, her mind had her glued to that corner, as if it held the answers to everything.]

Wriggle...

[She tries to force a smile on her face, although it just looks as sad and almost hopeless as she felt. She had hopped that she had some time to at least calm herself to a level where she could attempt to be okay, the help others deal with what happened... She then looks back to her knees, closing her eyes.]

We now know what happens when we die...We ended up seeing where the Admins hide from us all...

[Meiling just stiffened as she hears Sakuya's voice calling her name. Nononono! She had been found too quickly...and had been seen. She curls up a bit tighter, tilting to her faces was not completely hidden from view.]

Sakuya...I...I don't want you to see me like this...

[Internally she cursed. What she said was true but not everything she wanted to say. She takes a slow breath to try and calm down, which does not work, and tries again, even as vague and oddly worded as it was.]

We found out information...We know what happens when we die..why we are brought back...Jason put us through the entire process....

[ She approaches her anyway. Meiling's pride might prevent her from wanting others to see her like this, but Sakuya knows better than to just leave. She crouches down by the woman, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder. ] What...? [ About the dying process. ] Meiling, tell me what happened. This information is important.

[Seeing Meiling force herself to smile like that almost made her tear up again. She took another few steps but stopped dead in her tracks at the quiet voice]

What do you mean...? Meiling, what's going on?

[She takes a deep breath, trying to at least calm herself. She could see Wriggle was upset and her being as well would not help matters. She reaches out with one arm. It looked to her like the bug needed a hug.]

Come over here with me..It'll be out soon but...

[Meiling won't even flinch like she had done so before. She's silently surrendering to the fact she's been seen..although how much had been seen, she wasn't sure. She just takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself before she ended up letting her tears through once more.]

I went into the elevator with a group of others..We split up and went through different areas. When we returned to the center, another elevator was waiting. One group went down and then when it came back, I went in with others...I have to see them at some point...Make sure they are okay..

[She pauses, one hand clenching into a fist before she continues.]

We ended up in a pit with...corpses...My own was there too. We got out to see that one of the girls that had come with us was dead and being carried by the red collared things. They..put the body in a sphere and after filling with some sort of liquid..they took her soul out...

[She's starting to shake a bit. Is it fear or anger? who really knows..but she's quiet at this point.]

[ She's not too sure what to make of it. Didn't some creatures not have souls? Vampires, for example.

But if she's understanding this correct, people die here, their soul is taken out of their corpse, and then... ] Did the... construct her a new body?

I don't know...it was then when my group was caught. They grabbed us and put all of us through that...He told us he wipes our minds of the process but...He didn't for us. But he showed us what happens with our own...

[She trails off, continuing to shake, just unsure of how to deal with it all. Her hands just move on auto pilot, grasping her head as she just tries to make sense of everything. She didn't really know what she had seen after that ~~mostly because of thread not done~~ but it scared her. It made her doubt she was even really herself at the moment]

They.... [ Her voice turns cold. ] They extracted your soul? [ Of course she wouldn't remember something traumatic like that. ] Just like that, and then-- what I presume-- is that they gave you another body. [ A pause. ] But. Why? Why would he show you all that? [ That sounds like it'd be better kept as a secret. ]

[Oh she remembers what happened, the fact she wasn't alone and the pure pain that she thought would never be experienced...and then..just the fact she was there and looking at herself being remade? Not what she ever wanted to see.]

I don't know...but he wanted us to know how it felt..what was going on, Like we had planned on it.

[Meiling is still for a moment, almost as if she's just run out of steam, or all her energy was put into that chaotic moment before she ended up in the corner. but she ends up mumbling]

Am I even myself anymore? Or am I just...

Look at me. [ She gives her shoulder a squeeze. ] I don't care how many times they make you a new body-- you're still you to me.

[She wants to believe that she's still her, she really does...just the whole thing has her questioning it still and knowing that her soul could easily be taken from her and handled by Jason in his twisted experiments?

Meiling drops her hands from her head to very carefully look to Sakuya. She looks like a mess, but is just curious. She wants to know for sure, even if she isn't sure she can accept it right now.]

So you don't have to worry. [ She says this firmly, even if her voice is not as gentle due to the present circumstances. ] If you're never not you, I'll let you know. [ Thought knives, probably. ] ....I expect the same from you.

[Wriggle looked at her anxiously and then around the rest of the room. It was only occurring now to her that it had been completely trashed. At first she seemed hesitant, apparently ignoring Meiling in favour of shuffling over to the bed where her hat had dropped. Gingerly she reached out and picked it up before stepping back over the Meiling. Kneeling besides her, Wriggle wrapped both arms around her tightly and buried her head in her shoulder, taking a slightly shuddering breath and she tried to remain calm too]

We're not gonna be okay, are we...

[Meiling just hugs Wriggle tightly, staying quiet for a moment. This already was turning out bad but she wasn't going to let it continue this way.]

we will be fine...We will all be okay. We just have to watch out for each other more then before. We will survive Wriggle..I promise.

[She does not sound so sure but she's trying very hard to sound reassuring. She had to push the fear aside any moment of fear was another moment that somthing could happen.]

Even if I have to make sure of it myself...

[She is quiet, not really responding before nodding a bit. She takes a deep breath, which seems to help with her expression, it's slowly fading into a somewhat calm look. There would be some fear there for some time but...]

Thank you...I will make sure of that.

[Although she isn't completely sure she'd be able to do so right away...or how. She still would make sure of it.]

[She wasn't really sure what to make of that last part. No matter what happened she didn't want Meiling to get hurt either. If anyone was going to be making sacrifices it should be her, but she wasn't sure if she could really do anything of worth]

Of course we'll survive, we can't die here, you know? But I don't want to keep living in a place like this...

[Wriggle draws back and carefully puts the hat back on Meiling's head, adjusting it slightly so it's straight. It seemed odd to see her without it somehow]

But.... [ A pause. ] What you found out is important. Do you know how many others would have known this? [ She wonders if this information should be shared. Maybe she'll share it with Eiki. ]

We won't live here forever. We will get out of here and find our way back home.

[Meiling smiles softly and is still for Wriggle to put her hat on her head.]

We just have to watch out...Death is run by Jason..and he...

[She stops for a moment, taking a moment to keep her composure. This had to be said, even though the memory of it is unpleasant and something she wished she could forget]

He messes with our souls....Please be careful]

We were a team of five. Myself, Gamzee, Tavros and Feferi all went through it...I don't know if they have told anyone else or not.

[Because again, she took off the moment she was able to move. She needed to check with them at some point...Once she was called down enough to leave this room maybe...]

I should go and talk to them...Make sure they are alright as well.

[Wriggle watched her with a sense of anxiety. There were obviously forces at work that she didn't understand]

What... What do you mean? Who's Jason?

Perhaps this information should be shared with others who are here. [ A pause. Although having said that, she's no quite sure. A head maid she may be, but she's not a leader-- she doesn't know what exactly to do in these situations. ]

He's one of the people running this place. He deals with us after we die and rebuilds us.

[She sighs a little bit. Her main moment of panic and fear is slowly fading from her. She's still scared about everything but....She could handle it]

He caught myself and the three others I was with and we got put through the entire thing.

[She can hear the words just fine, although she seems to have trouble fully comprehending them]

Captured who? Meiling, what happened to you? Please tell me...
