Summary: Followup to this post. John managed to catch the soul extraction process on tape. Not wanting to expose himself any more than necessary, he avoided sharing it on the network and instead put note in everyone's mailbox. Now he's waiting to see if anybody responds.
Warnings: Probably just language

[Just as his note detailed, John can be found in the middle of the meadow floor between 1pm and 4pm on March 1st-3rd.]

[Not wanting to waste any time, he decides to train his Litwick and Zorua while waiting for people to show up by pitting them against one another in a play-battle. Yeah...experience gainage will be a slow process this way. He'll have to go monster hunting later. His Dusknoir floats at his side, arms crossed over his chest as he watches over the fight.]

[Now hopefully anybody who's here about the tape will be able to recognize him based on the dumb little doodle on his note...]

Nesir nodded, "So I do be guessing that do be why you do be needing to be learning to be fighting."

To avoid people messing with his soul, it was a reason Nesir could get behind.

John nods.

"Yeah. I did a little fighting on my own back home but...then I spent two years in a world where people were encouraged not to fight, more or less." he gestures to the Litwick and the Zorua still play fighting a few feet away. "Creatures like these did all the fighting instead. But I recently learned that the admins can seal my Pokemon away so...I really need to learn to fight for myself again."

Nesir looked at the creatures again, creatures that fought for people. That sounded like an interesting world, it didn't surprise her that the administrators could seal them away, if they could stop peoples muscles.

"Well I can be fighting with daggers and throwing daggers, though I would be suggesting just ordinary daggers, as you can just be using one from the kitchen even if it do not be the best option, it do be better than nothing. There do be no knives balanced for throwing though."

It's a world that John misses every damn day and desperately wants to return to...hopefully soon. Even with the way things are looking right now, he's determined not to give up hope. There's still a chance the admins are lying, he's sure of it.

"Well I was actually lucky enough to get one of my hammers back yesterday. From the request box thingy, so at least I am not completely unarmed anymore. But you're not the first to make me realize it's probably a good idea to lean how to handle other weapons. It's just kind of a weird thought since we don't have that kind of flexibility with weaponry in the world I come from originally."

"What kind of weapons did you be having?" Hammers apparently, they were quite difficult to learn and Nesir was pretty impressed that he knew how to wield them.

[ghostytrainer]

"Oh, sorry that was probably bad wording on my part. We had a pretty wide variety it's just that there were rules surrounding weapon usage. Once you picked a weapon type, you were basically stuck with it. It...sounds kind of silly now that I try to explain it but that's just how things were."

He rubs at the back of his neck, laughing a little nervously. There were exceptions to the rules, of course, but somehow he gets the feeling that would only make things more complicated. Best to keep it as simple as possible because wow his homeworld has strange logic.

"In my case, I accidentally set my abstratus to hammerkind. So I could use any hammer that I came across, but nothing else. I couldn't, say, borrow my best friend's sword and use it."

They had to? That didn't sound sensible, surely you should try out many weapons before deciding on one of them. "What do an abstratus be?"

This was beginning to sound more confusing by the second.

[ghostytrainer]

"It's uh...well it's..." He scratches his head. How the hell do you explain this thing? Nesir is obviously not the only one a little perplexed here.

"A sort of...mechanic of my world, I guess? It's the thing that controls your weaponry. It's not tangible though, it just stores all your weapons and dictates which ones you can use. Sorry, I'm...probably just confusing you even more aren't I? I don't mean to it's just...I am not really sure how to put it. In fact, it's starting to sound a little bizarre, even to me." He laughs a little, somewhat uneasy.

"But I guess that's just what happens in this sort of situation. Everybody back home used it, so nobody ever questioned how it worked or what it even was or why that was even the way things were."

It was strange, but she understood that, not questioning things until forced to. In fact the only good thing about this whole situation was the way it made them look at the worlds differently, and see how different worlds handled things.

"So now that you do be here can you be using any weapon?"

[ghostytrainer]

John nods.

"Yeah. Because, as far as I can tell, the rules in place in my world don't extend to this one."

"But you do still be able to be using any hammer that you do be picking up?" Because there were different hammers, and the way he had spoken sounded like he could use them all though Nesir knew they each had subtle differences in how they were wielded. Though a warrior could probably master them all this boy seemed younger than she was.

"In theory, yeah. Though I'm not sure if I could really apply that to say...something like a polehammer? I dealt more with sledgehammers and warhammers. And like...hammer hammers. Like the kind you get at the hardware store. But I feel like a polehammer would be a different can of worms entirely."

Different stance and all. John is hardly a master by any stretch of the imagination. He literally just picked a hammer up one day and started swinging his way to victory. Subtle differences? Proper lessons? He didn't really have time for that. It was fight or die horribly.

Also fight and die horribly anyway but...semantics.

Nesir had no idea what a hardware store was but she got the idea. "Well it do be good that you do be able to be learning more weapons here, you could be learning the pole hammer, it would be giving you a longer reach."
