Summary: Followup to this post. John managed to catch the soul extraction process on tape. Not wanting to expose himself any more than necessary, he avoided sharing it on the network and instead put note in everyone's mailbox. Now he's waiting to see if anybody responds.
Warnings: Probably just language

[Just as his note detailed, John can be found in the middle of the meadow floor between 1pm and 4pm on March 1st-3rd.]

[Not wanting to waste any time, he decides to train his Litwick and Zorua while waiting for people to show up by pitting them against one another in a play-battle. Yeah...experience gainage will be a slow process this way. He'll have to go monster hunting later. His Dusknoir floats at his side, arms crossed over his chest as he watches over the fight.]

[Now hopefully anybody who's here about the tape will be able to recognize him based on the dumb little doodle on his note...]

[Perona shows up curious about this, and because it's John. This time she's walking normally.]

[It is curiosity that drives her to this place, though Chloe pauses at the sight of John. There is a curious twitch in the cloaked girl's eye while she looks him over.

After all, when they last spoke, he hadn't exactly been all in one piece, now had he? Still, she drew nearer slowly, eyes focused on him with quiet curiosity.]

March 2nd let's mix it up

[Unnerving insanity incidents aside... Jade really had no idea what was going on. Dax had gotten eaten? Something about souls? All she knew was that it kind of made her want to puke.

So regardless, she showed up as soon as she could, taking an odd confidence in seeing the ghost Pokemon lurking around next to John.]

March 2

[After getting her note from Dax and starting to organize plans and people, Tohko was exhausted and had slept for awhile. However, when she checked her mailbox, she quickly rushed to the meadow floor, and when she spotted John-his doodle had given him away-she nodded at him.]

If seeing is believing, then what can you show me?

March 1st

[Mello shows up as soon as possible. He's nibbling nervously on a chocolate bar, and as soon as he spots the boy, he walks over to him. However, at the sight of the Pokemon - little, strange-looking monsters, as far as he's concerned, though they seem familiar somehow - he keeps his distance.]

You. [He holds up the note that John sent with his free hand.] John Egbert?

[ghostytrainer]

[John doesn't even notice Chloe until she's right next to him, causing him to jump slightly.]

Oh, hey there! You here about the note?

[ghostytrainer]

[From his [lace seated on the ground, John leans his head back to look upside down at Jade, grinning.]

Sup.

[ghostytrainer]

[Silently, John holds out what looks like a red cellphone to Tohko. On the screen is a paused video displaying a very large machine with a girl sitting laying on the top.]

Just tap the screen, it'll start playing. When the screen starts jostling you can turn it off. All the footage after that is kind of a waste and it's just easier for me to tell you what happened next.

Yup! That's me! [The resemblance to the doodle is uncanny, isn't it? He hands his Pokegear to Mello, the video paused and queued up to go.]

Just tap the screen. It runs a little longer than it needs to though, I kind of left it running longer than I should have. When we start chasing after the worker unit you can turn it off.

[Based on what Suzaku told her earlier, Tohko can guess of what this video tape is..and is impressed that the boy thought to get video of it while he was down there.]

This is pretty impressive. It was a good move of you to get some video footage while you were down there.

[Tohko tapped the screen and started watching what he had recorded.]

[John chuckles lightly, scratching at the back of his neck. This is the second time now he's been praised for this and praise has always been something he's had trouble with.]

It was luck, really. Anybody could have done it.

[At that, he falls silent, letting her watch the tape while trying his hardest not to see the images roll through his mind again. Seeing it once was really enough.]

March 1st cuz

[There was no way Karkat wasn't investigating, regardless of the fact that it was John who had set up the entire coup. Karkat isn't wearing his jacket today, it having been torn to shreds by a monster as he was wandering. Its just a collared shirt and a tie for him on the meadow floor.

He clearly is not a fan of the pokemon, even if he's gotten used to them, keeping a bit of distance between himself and the human. He's still not sure about John, let alone his little...lusii things.]

[Tohko watched the video, trying to absorb everything she saw. The liquid, the way the body was processed..everything. As she did, she spoke.]

That's true..but you were the only one who thought to do it. People in that situation might have forgotten, even with the camera.

[When the screen started jostling, Tohko tapped again.]

Alright then. Can you tell me the rest?

[ghostytrainer]

After that, we ran into Jason. Or well...his door, really. I didn't get a very good look at what actually happened since we were trying not to be seen but it was easy enough to guess what happened. He's the one who puts the souls back inside the body.

[Tohko nodded, thinking.]

He is the medical doctor. That would make sense. Did he notice you? Or did you manage to escape?

[ghostytrainer]

Luckily, we got out. But I'm pretty sure that's only because another group...didn't. I'm not sure exactly what they did, but they were a big enough distraction to keep him from finding us.

I'm glad to hear you got out..but hopefully a few members of the other groups managed to escape. How many more were dragged down?

[ghostytrainer]

Oh no, we weren't dragged down. We all made the choice to go down there.

[And despite everything that happened down there, he doesn't regret that choice. Mostly because of the people he met while down there.]

But there were about...twenty of us or so to begin with, I believe. Yeah. Yeah, had to have been about that because we split into five groups and there were about four of us in each group.

Right I know..it was just a small figure of speech. I'm sorry.

[Tohko nodded to herself as she burned that information onto her brain.]

Alright then. Thanks..you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but..could you tell me who went down there, if you can? Everyone, not just the people in your group?

[ghostytrainer]

Oh! Sorry, my bad. I thought you meant it literally.

[Hurr durr.]

Um...well I don't know everybody's names but even if I did, I am not sure if it's my place to say. Since if our names get out, we could be in a lot of trouble. Not that I think you would turn any of them in! Just...I don' t want to put my friends in danger or anything, even inadvertently. I'm sorry...

[Tohko smiled and tried to pat John on the head.]

Don't worry about it. I understand. In your situation, I would be wary too. Don't worry about it. Can yous show me..

[Tohko then whispered.]

Can you show me where the Administrator's elevator door is though?

[She chuckled slightly and nodded, pausing where she stood.]

I would like to see it at work, yes. It ... could be informative.

[ghostytrainer]

Mmmhmm. Yeah. This is kind of one of those things where it makes more sense if you see it with your own two eyes.

[He holds his Pokegear out to her, the video paused but otherwise ready to go.]

Tap the screen whenever you're ready. When we start chasing after the robot though, you can just turn it off. I left it rolling a little too long and there's not much to see after that.

It does make sense already, in principle. However, I would prefer to have seen it myself.

[She tapped the screen herself, starting to watch some of the footage. Seeing the process of the soul being extracted from the body made her run her fingers under her chin and a curious look reach her eyes.]

What... did you learn, other than seeing the way they ressurrect us here?

[ghostytrainer]

[He doesn't attempt to move his head, so the head pat is a success.]

Mmm? Oh yeah, I can do that, no problem. Except... [He glances at the clock on his Pokegear. He can't very well leave when he promised he'd be here until four. But using my mundane-powers we're just going to say he's good to go.]

Oh never mind, scratch that. [He flips the device shut and shoves it into his fannypack, returning all his Pokemon to their balls.]

Follow me. [With a smile, he makes his way towards the staircase, slow enough for Tohko to follow.] Oh, what's your name by the way?
