Summary: Followup to this post. John managed to catch the soul extraction process on tape. Not wanting to expose himself any more than necessary, he avoided sharing it on the network and instead put note in everyone's mailbox. Now he's waiting to see if anybody responds.
Warnings: Probably just language

[Just as his note detailed, John can be found in the middle of the meadow floor between 1pm and 4pm on March 1st-3rd.]

[Not wanting to waste any time, he decides to train his Litwick and Zorua while waiting for people to show up by pitting them against one another in a play-battle. Yeah...experience gainage will be a slow process this way. He'll have to go monster hunting later. His Dusknoir floats at his side, arms crossed over his chest as he watches over the fight.]

[Now hopefully anybody who's here about the tape will be able to recognize him based on the dumb little doodle on his note...]

Pfftt, implying this whole situation didn't feel like a cliche sci-fi b-film before all this. But...yeah to be honest I think I would rather be in a spaceship right now.

[He puts the 'gear back in his pocket with a sigh.]

But bad jokes aside, you okay?

At least then there'd be a cooler view than a bunch of fog and we might run into some aliens.

[But she would so much rather talk about the bad jokes...

Though the fact that there was a sizable, odd silence where Jade was just fiddling with the edges of her scarf right now were pretty telling that things weren't really OK.]

Sure. I don't know. [...] I mean, it's not like I'm... not used to my body just getting fixed up, I guess.

[ghostytrainer]

[John scratches the back of his head. Jade you're simultaneously both really easy and ridiculously hard to talk to and deal with, you know that?]

Well...that may be. But this is a little different than just fixing up wounds or something, don't you think? Even different from what I imagine god tiering must be like. [A beat.] I know I'm not the same John you know from back home but if you want to talk about it...or anything really just. [Another pause. Wow words are hard.]

I'm here, I guess is basically what I am trying to say.

[reddeadvirtuoso]

[World were a hell of a lot easier when they were talking over a computer terminal instead of face to face, that's for sure.]

...I'm not sure I'd even know how to talk to my John anymore if I did see him anyway.

[Another moment, and she looked up a bit at John, still looking a bit sad, but a small smile on her face.] Thanks, bro.

[I know, right? Words are harder in person.]

[John beams, giving her the thumbs up.]

No prob.

[Dorky as hell-- but Jade brought one hand up to return the thumbs up.]

Just make sure you stick around, OK? Otherwise you'll miss the exciting next act of this ludicrous horror-drama.

[And she'd be pretty down if she ended up losing another ecto-bro to the dust of the Tower.]

Don't worry Jade. I'm not leaving until we all get to leave.

[Because it's just not worth it any other way.]

Good. [A surprisingly bright smile for such a sour topic!]

And I'm holding you to it you know-- if you ditch out early I'm grabbing someone with spacey powers and going on a quest of paradox justice in your universe.

[John laughs but says nothing. Instead, he holds his hand out to Jade, pinky finger extended.]

[reddeadvirtuoso]

[She takes a few seconds just looking at his extended finger, but nevertheless relents, holding out her own hand and wrapping her pinky around his.

God, what a nerd.]

[ghostytrainer]

[He just grins the whole time, kind of raising his eyebrows in a way that clearly says "come ooonnnnnn" before she finally indulges his moment of utter ridiculousness.]

[And then they shake on it.]

There. Now you know that shit is legit and unbreakable.

[She snickers quietly, but nevertheless concedes to the shake, before finally releasing and taking her hand back.]

That is a legally binding contract now, broski. I hope you know what you've gotten into.
