Summary: Followup to this post. John managed to catch the soul extraction process on tape. Not wanting to expose himself any more than necessary, he avoided sharing it on the network and instead put note in everyone's mailbox. Now he's waiting to see if anybody responds.
Warnings: Probably just language

[Just as his note detailed, John can be found in the middle of the meadow floor between 1pm and 4pm on March 1st-3rd.]

[Not wanting to waste any time, he decides to train his Litwick and Zorua while waiting for people to show up by pitting them against one another in a play-battle. Yeah...experience gainage will be a slow process this way. He'll have to go monster hunting later. His Dusknoir floats at his side, arms crossed over his chest as he watches over the fight.]

[Now hopefully anybody who's here about the tape will be able to recognize him based on the dumb little doodle on his note...]

[John turns, smiling at the sight of the familiar face it's hard to forget those eyebrows, after all.]

Guilty as charged. I doddle a pretty good likeness, huh? [He laughs a bit, holding out what looks like a red cell phone towards Ishimaru.] I managed to get the soul extraction process on tape, just tap the screen when you're ready. It runs a little long though, so you can just close it once the camera angles start going crazy.

[Man, he doesn't even wanna talk about that doodle right now. Though he does make a note to remember to connect it to John if he ever sees it again.

He holds the PokeGear and takes a deep breath before hitting the button. For a second he can remember a certain DVD containing something equally disturbing and a little closer to home - literally taking place inside his own home, and remembering now that it's definitely gone hurts - and he focuses his attention back on the screen, watching in horrified silence.]

[John is equally as silent as the video plays, trying his best not to think about what's on the screen. The image has already been burned so deeply into his mind at this point that he doesn't need to watch the recording to remember exactly what happened. It's not the sort of thing you forget easily, no matter how much you may want to.]

[Though he'll wait a few minutes for Ishimaru to break the silence before saying anything himself.]

[When he finally does speak, his voice sounds surprisingly flat, though he hasn't looked away from the screen yet. Not that there's much left to watch.]

What could they be trying to achieve by doing this?

[He doesn't get it. A life that can be brought back again and again feels like it has less meaning than one that can be cut short, somehow.]

[Shrug.]

Your guess is as good as mine. Heh...kinda feels like all we did was raise more questions with this one answer.

No, I'm sure that is exactly what it's done for everyone!

[He finally passes the PokeGear back, carefully.]

Thank you for letting me see this. [Even if he's not sure it was for the best in the end.] I think right now we should see if anybody knows what can be done with what information we do have. Does somebody know something else that ties into this? Can it aid in an escape? These new questions are at least ones that can be answered, one way or another.

No problem! What would have been the sense in taking it if I didn't share it, you know? I don't know about any of that though. Hopefully this will help us find a way out of here eventually, but this is about all I know at this point.

Oh, wait actually, there are two other things that we learned while we were down there. I don't know if I would say that tie ties into this persay, but they're kind of worrisome nevertheless. The first is that they're watching us. We can't see them, or at least I never have, but there are cameras everywhere from the sounds of things.

[His immediate reaction is to look up and see if he can spot any security cameras. There are none plainly visible in the meadow, and he can't recall seeing anywhere else... but constant surveillance isn't really anything new to him, and somehow it doesn't seem surprising. Although having it be confirmed to be happening in the Tower is a little uncomfortable.]

They must be watching even now, then...

[Yet they're doing nothing to stop the sharing of information.]
