001 To Take A Deep Breath
Characters: Kanaya and everyone! (You are included in that!)
Setting: Various, starting outside room 1-07
Format: I'll follow you
Summary: Kanaya attempts to explore the tower and make friends. Or at least not make any enemies right off.
Warnings: None unless she's attacked. She may look meek and gentle but she's quite proficient with that chainsaw. Also, a secondary warning: she tends to ramble when nervous.
The first thing Kanaya was aware of was the inability to move. That was hardly unusual as the viscosity of the sopor slime in the recuperacoons made it difficult to thrash about in but that gave it a sense of comfort. She was not in her recuperacoon however. She was lying on some soft surface, like a cushion but raised and with blankets. Panic began to rise in her throat as she realized that she was not even on the flying chunk of rock she and her friends now called home. As the paralysis wore off she was able to take in her surroundings....and the rather hideous bodysuit and collar someclearly style challenged being had put on her.
She spotted the letter, read it quickly, and then went to the indicated chest to change into something more familiar. At least the collar was similar to her blood color so it didn't clash too terribly. A small wave of relief washed over her to see the matriorb safely nestled among various lengths of fabric. Even if she had failed everything else at least that was still safe and there was still hope.
Next, however, came a more pressing matter. She turned toward the door, placed her hand on the handle...and hesitated. Who knew what lay outside. She steeled herself, made sure the bottle of lipstick was in her pocket, and walked out to meet whatever lay beyond the threshold.

"K-kanaya."
Again.

"...I'm wearing yellow because I'm not the Equius you're familiar with, and this is the actual colour of my blood."

"I sincerely apologize if I offended you and apologize for knocking you down. Are you injured?"

"Um... no. I'm fine." Honest. He's more than used to being knocked down and the damage gained from immunities is now next to none! (Yeah that made absolutely no sense.) "And I'm... not offended, really. Sorry." Just annoyed that conversations with other people from the alternate universe always tend to go the same way. He should really stop getting so riled up about things.
