Summary: Satsujiki has been avoiding Satsuki. An alchemist decides to see what's up.
Warnings: It's Satsujinki so there's idiocy present somewhere.

[After that whole fiasco earlier in February with Yumizuka, Satsujinki was either one of two things. Embarrassed out of his mind or implicitly denying a lot of the things he said. The last of which would probably severely hurt Yumizuka's feelings. To spare her any trouble, he pulled the smoothest and best tactic known to man. Well, the men who clearly had communication issues.

He simply completely avoided her.

Since he hadn't run into her today, he found himself relaxing a bit, enjoying the loneliness on this open floor. He kept himself a certain distance away from the entrance/exit so he could temporarily hide if Yumizuka showed up and escape when she wasn't looking. But, right now, even that barely registered as a concern on his mind.]

I would gladly accept that challenge but this is your fight not mine. I also don't have the sort of relationship you have with Satsuki, she sees you in a different way.

I know she does. Maybe you should tell her to be more honest too.

I think she's doing a decent job of trying to express her feelings so far. It's not easy for a girl to say how they feel about someone they like.

But it's supposedly easy for a guy, huh?

Men tend to blurt out their feelings more often with this type of thing.

Something tells me your experience with men amounts to about zero.

Shiki was my first male friend... though that doesn't matter since what I told you before is correct anyway.

It's not correct at all. Probably everything else you've said was wrong too.

That can't be true, my calculations and knowledge are always correct.

Has it never hit you that you can't calculate these kind of things?

Everything boils down to calculations.

That makes you pretty dumb, I think.

Knowledge is a very useful tool, and being able to figure things out is not considered dumb in the slightest.

[ Even though common sense is just as important. ]

That's the problem with you. It doesn't all boil down to that so it's dumb.

What do you think it boils down to then?

Feelings.

Acting purely on feelings will get you nowhere.

Except that's what you have to do sometimes.

I don't think you can fully depend on them, you have to think things over as well.

You can't fully depend on your brain either!

The brain is far less likely to make rash decisions.

Rash decisions are needed sometimes. Most make-or-break moments in war were won or lost because a General did or didn't follow his gut instinct.

Love is different from war, even if the saying is all is far in love and war.

[concept_killer]

If anything, love works more in my favor since using your brain is a recipe for disaster.

[atlasia]

Even if you don't use your brain at least fix the misunderstanding between you two. The outcome is more important at this point.
