[Thanks to combined efforts, Mondo's managed to set up the lounge to make for a pretty nice birthday party, all things considered. There's decorations and food, if mostly desserts, but he figures Chihiro likes that kind of thing so it's all good.

He knows Chihiro has plenty of friends, so there's not much worry about people showing up, but...he doesn't want it to be lame.

Wanting it to be a surprise, around noon he goes to get Chihiro and carry him in on his shoulders.]

Oh..there are so many wonderful and delicious stories that I couldn't possibly pick one!

Hmm... well, what about a genre you prefer?

Well..I do love fantasy stories and sweet love stories! But I am a book girl, so I'll read anything that I can get my hands on!

I see. How long does it usually take you to get through a book?

Well, it depends on the story and how invested in it I get, but I can usually finish a story nowadays in about two or three days, or a week.

[That sounds pretty normal.]

I see. Ah, perhaps next time I go to the library, you could recommend some books to me.

[Well, other than being able to eat books, she was a pretty ordinary book girl, even if her knowledge and love was greater than most.]

Actually, I could recommend some great books to you right now, if you want!

Oh, I would like that! It would be great to have something to read!

Alright then! Have you read The Snow Goose, The Great Gatsby, Theirs to Eternity, Run, Melos!, The Alchemist, The Master and Margarita, or Demon Pond?

No, I haven't read any of those yet. I guess I should start!

You should! They're excellent stories! I'm sure you would enjoy them, Chihiro.

I'll go look for them in the library after the party then.

Alright then..but you know, I wouldn't mind running down to the library and grabbing them for you!

Sure! I wouldn't mind that either..but I wouldn't want to drag you away from your birthday party.

[shakes head] That's alright. We'll just be gone for a little while, right?

Well..that's true. Alright then! Let's go! The elevator can take us part of the way!

[..With that, Tohko would try to grab Chihiro's hand and rush out of the room. Try.]

[Chihiro will let her and hurries out of the room with her!]

[While Tohko held onto Chihiro's hand tight as she ran, she was not the best sprinter in the world and, when they got to the twenty-fifth floor, would be panting to catch her breath as she hit the elevator button.]

[Chihiro is rather out of breath too when they finally make it to the elevator.]

[Which just made Tohko smiled a little as she caught her breath and waited for the elevator.]
