Behold the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is filled with water
Characters: Enoch and anyone; people are free and encouraged to make multiple threads for multiple prompts of course!
Setting: Various places, just about anywhere in the tower otherwise
Format: I'm starting in prose but it doesn't matter.
Summary: Like A Lion catch-all event post
Warnings: Er...one prompt involves nudity? That's the only warning I can think of for now.
Spring
Enoch wakes to the sensation of water droplets on his skin. No sooner has he gotten to his feet and grabbed his Arch than it's a downpour, soaking his hair and jeans. His summoned armor protects his sandals from the water's wear, but he's confused about these developments, to say the least. Rain isn't necessarily a bad thing, to him, after all. ...But that's when he notices the water flowing over his trunk is also flowing into it.
"No!" He runs to it and flings it open, hurriedly gathering three books out of them - one of them is soggy by now and a distressed little whine sticks in his throat as it slips from his hand. He clutches the two remaining books to his stomach with one arm and slams the lid shut with the other, rushing out of the room.
He can be found running along the dormitory floors, still hunched protectively over his books. Or, after they've been put away somewere safe, somehow, he can be found elsewhere, seeming unperturbed by the rain itself, standing on a stretch of staircase and letting the water flow past his feet.
Summer
In the dry heat, Enoch seems to thrive. He lays out his cloak and the leggings he'd made in October flat on top of the trunk or the floor below to dry, and grabs one of the juice boxes, thankfully plastic instead of cardboard, left over from December's food basket, and sets off. He can be found in the sewing room, cutting a portion off a large stretch of violet fabric. When he's separated it, he does some work on it to make ties and wraps, and eventually has a short headscarf that he quickly puts on and leaves the floor, finally poking the straw into and sipping that juice box he'd taken with him. He's a little shaky from hunger, but...he's not starving, at least, not as bad as it was when he'd first come here.
After this, he can be found moving around somewhat sparingly with his new scarf, working beautifully at keeping sweat out of his eyes, though it isn't long before he removes it and uses the Arch to cut a large portion of it off, rendering it a headband instead. He seems to be doing just fine, overall, or to at least not be panicking or upset.
Until the humid heat starts coming in, at which point he is nowhere in the tower's levels to be found. Those who want to seek him out during this time will find him in his own room, lying naked on his bed, the fitted sheet beneath him having accumulated a fairly large sweatstain beneath him. He has the sheet nearby to cover himself if someone is offended by his current state of undress, but he's not going to touch it if he doesn't have to. If he notices he's stopped sweating, he'll take a few sips of the juice box, probably a different one than the one he had before at this point. He grimaces a bit after, but hydration is hydration.
And then the thunderstorm starts. Enoch sits upright at the rain, holding his hands out to catch it. He manages a few sips before his position, elevated and near the room's metal wall, works against him, and an arc from a lightning strike that hits it arcs straight to his arm. There's a sharp cry from inside room 3-18 and anyone who investigates will see Enoch has tumbled off his bed, for the moment paralyzed and in pain. But eventually the paralysis ends and he staggers to his feet, grabbing his jeans from the floor and hurriedly putting them on. He has never been happier for his superhuman endurance.
He can then be found out and about again, keeping away from the walls and letting the rain cool him as well as it will.
Autumn
Enoch has a few leaves in his hair as he wanders the tower to keep his mind off his hunger. He'd run out of the beef jerky from the December food basket three days in, and it was now the fourth. He's a little unsteady on his feet sometimes, but the weather seems to be doing him good. He'll be strained, but pleasant in conversation, and will attempt to try to help with hunting now that the weather seems calmer.
Until it isn't so calm anymore. Enoch can be found leaping off staircases to avoid tornadoes, or diving behind or under things that are bolted down. If anyone needs any help with the tornadoes, though, he's there to help!
Winter
Enoch is shivering when he wakes up. He summons his armor for whatever insulation it can provide and pulls his Arch from the snow, kneeling at his trunk to open it and take out the cloak he'd dried in the first day of summer. It isn't so dry now, but it will warm at his body heat at least. He's still shivering as he leaves the room, seeking out the company of others. Surely, there is a gathering of people somewhere...

That too. xD; Earn your long peaceful walks.
Yotusba smiled a little at that, and she followed Enoch onto the stairs again. However, as they teleported onto the next floor, Yotsuba noticed that the white clothing he was wearing vanished..and she saw the green light before it reappeared.
While this didn't scare her or prevent her from taking Enoch's hand or returning the smile, it did fill her up with questions.
"Why did your clothing di..disappear like that?! And what was that glowing? Magic?!"
no subject
Shaky start aside, their walk seemed to be more or less uneventful so far otherwise.
no subject
"So you're a magician?! And what's..Heaven?"
Have fun with that one, Enoch.
no subject
"Heaven is God's domain, where He lives with all the angels."
Maybe she knew about one of those; best to try.
no subject
"Hello, Birdy!"
She then turned back to Enoch. Sadly, she had been taught a little bit of Buddhism..but not much. She had no idea who or what God was. Or what an Angel was.
"Who's God? And what's an angel?"
no subject
"God created the Earth and everything on it. Angels are His servants, who work in Heaven and watch over Earth, and make sure demons don't interfere with us."
no subject
"Oh! Does that mean God can create cows? And..what are demons?"
If God could create cows, she was going to ask how he could make her one. Or how she could meet him.
no subject
"Yes, He made cows, too. Demons are...ah. This will take some explanation. There is always smoke accompanying a fire - no matter the fire, however large or small, smoke is always created as well. The place demons live, The Darkness, is like that. It is like the smoke produced by Heaven's holy flame - that is, it came into existence of its own accord, and not even God can watch it or hold authority there."
no subject
"..Can I meet God and ask him for a cow then? And..smoke comes out whenever a fire is made..so if you put out Heaven's fire, the smoke will vanish too!"
..Yotsuba..
no subject
Enoch, naturally...is thinking in terms of his own time. What do you mean there's usually no space to raise livestock in private homes? It doesn't help that he'd wound up in a place in Meridian with fairly spacious backyards, so he never really inferred that from the modern city's design.
He'd...address the rest later. He didn't quite know how to word it yet.
no subject
"Daddy said that I couldn't, since we didn't have the space..but how did you get to Heaven?"
If there was a way up there, Yotsuba would like to know it. Even though..she..wouldn't be able to use it.
no subject
But...time to address that other thing. She was still waiting on an answer to what a demon was, after all. "And, ah...Heaven is too important. It can't simply be extinguished."
Though...no. Best to stay away from that thought...
"The Darkness is like smoke in another way - it is dark and suffocating. Demons are its denizens, who are opposed to angels. They try to steal human souls away for themselves."
no subject
"God must have liked you then! And..demons sound like bad people..but why do they want human souls? And what is a soul?"
no subject
But if a demon manages to take a soul, they stay in The Darkness forever, growing corrupt and giving the princes of The Darkness power."
no subject
"I understand..but why are our souls judged? And..is there a way to free a soul from the Darkness?"
no subject
"...As for The Darkness... I don't know. I certainly hope so."
It was one of the reasons why Heaven had to be vigilant and strike down whatever attempts on human souls they found...
no subject
Would Daddy be separated from her when they got to Heaven? He wasn't a bad person..so no.
"Maybe you can ask the angels when you get back home!"
no subject
He didn't say anything to the rest, fixing his eyes ahead. If they could restore the angels. If the restoration could be so complete.
no subject
"..What's Sh..Sheol?"
no subject
They're making good time, already down to the eighty second floor, the rain pattering against the floor of the ballroom.
no subject
"Oh! Yotsuba knows about reincarnation! Daddy told me!"
It had been a watered-down version for Yotsuba, but she understood it.
no subject
And then one charged ahead, incredibly quick. Enoch let go of Yotsuba's hand and threw himself at their attacker to keep it on him and away from her. Claws raked his side repeatedly as he wrestled with the thing to no avail, and it finally threw him off it with a shattering of part of his armor. Enoch rolled and drew his Arch, opening it and stepping back, the long weapon's blades a barrier between them and the girl.
"Yotsuba, find cover!"
no subject
"Okay! Bu..be careful! Don't die!"
A corner, a corner..it was hard to find a hiding place on the stairs, but she eventually just ran into the first room she saw, straining her ears in an attempt to pick up Enoch's fight.
no subject
Eventually, the lounge was silent, and Enoch put the Arch back on the back of his jeans, sighing in relief as the Mr. Saturn poked its head out from under the couch it had hidden beneath and scurried on up the stairs now that the coast was clear.
"Yotsuba?" Enoch turned to try to find where she'd hidden.
no subject
"I'm here! Are you okay?! What were those things? And..what weapon did you use? ..It wasn't a sword..or a gun."
Another one of God's gifts?
