Behold the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is filled with water
Characters: Enoch and anyone; people are free and encouraged to make multiple threads for multiple prompts of course!
Setting: Various places, just about anywhere in the tower otherwise
Format: I'm starting in prose but it doesn't matter.
Summary: Like A Lion catch-all event post
Warnings: Er...one prompt involves nudity? That's the only warning I can think of for now.
Spring
Enoch wakes to the sensation of water droplets on his skin. No sooner has he gotten to his feet and grabbed his Arch than it's a downpour, soaking his hair and jeans. His summoned armor protects his sandals from the water's wear, but he's confused about these developments, to say the least. Rain isn't necessarily a bad thing, to him, after all. ...But that's when he notices the water flowing over his trunk is also flowing into it.
"No!" He runs to it and flings it open, hurriedly gathering three books out of them - one of them is soggy by now and a distressed little whine sticks in his throat as it slips from his hand. He clutches the two remaining books to his stomach with one arm and slams the lid shut with the other, rushing out of the room.
He can be found running along the dormitory floors, still hunched protectively over his books. Or, after they've been put away somewere safe, somehow, he can be found elsewhere, seeming unperturbed by the rain itself, standing on a stretch of staircase and letting the water flow past his feet.
Summer
In the dry heat, Enoch seems to thrive. He lays out his cloak and the leggings he'd made in October flat on top of the trunk or the floor below to dry, and grabs one of the juice boxes, thankfully plastic instead of cardboard, left over from December's food basket, and sets off. He can be found in the sewing room, cutting a portion off a large stretch of violet fabric. When he's separated it, he does some work on it to make ties and wraps, and eventually has a short headscarf that he quickly puts on and leaves the floor, finally poking the straw into and sipping that juice box he'd taken with him. He's a little shaky from hunger, but...he's not starving, at least, not as bad as it was when he'd first come here.
After this, he can be found moving around somewhat sparingly with his new scarf, working beautifully at keeping sweat out of his eyes, though it isn't long before he removes it and uses the Arch to cut a large portion of it off, rendering it a headband instead. He seems to be doing just fine, overall, or to at least not be panicking or upset.
Until the humid heat starts coming in, at which point he is nowhere in the tower's levels to be found. Those who want to seek him out during this time will find him in his own room, lying naked on his bed, the fitted sheet beneath him having accumulated a fairly large sweatstain beneath him. He has the sheet nearby to cover himself if someone is offended by his current state of undress, but he's not going to touch it if he doesn't have to. If he notices he's stopped sweating, he'll take a few sips of the juice box, probably a different one than the one he had before at this point. He grimaces a bit after, but hydration is hydration.
And then the thunderstorm starts. Enoch sits upright at the rain, holding his hands out to catch it. He manages a few sips before his position, elevated and near the room's metal wall, works against him, and an arc from a lightning strike that hits it arcs straight to his arm. There's a sharp cry from inside room 3-18 and anyone who investigates will see Enoch has tumbled off his bed, for the moment paralyzed and in pain. But eventually the paralysis ends and he staggers to his feet, grabbing his jeans from the floor and hurriedly putting them on. He has never been happier for his superhuman endurance.
He can then be found out and about again, keeping away from the walls and letting the rain cool him as well as it will.
Autumn
Enoch has a few leaves in his hair as he wanders the tower to keep his mind off his hunger. He'd run out of the beef jerky from the December food basket three days in, and it was now the fourth. He's a little unsteady on his feet sometimes, but the weather seems to be doing him good. He'll be strained, but pleasant in conversation, and will attempt to try to help with hunting now that the weather seems calmer.
Until it isn't so calm anymore. Enoch can be found leaping off staircases to avoid tornadoes, or diving behind or under things that are bolted down. If anyone needs any help with the tornadoes, though, he's there to help!
Winter
Enoch is shivering when he wakes up. He summons his armor for whatever insulation it can provide and pulls his Arch from the snow, kneeling at his trunk to open it and take out the cloak he'd dried in the first day of summer. It isn't so dry now, but it will warm at his body heat at least. He's still shivering as he leaves the room, seeking out the company of others. Surely, there is a gathering of people somewhere...

The previous seasons hadn't lasted too long, after all.

And hopefully the cycle won't just keep going with winter.

Aleph was reminded of himself. Young, impressionable, and charged with great responsibility.
no subject
It was a shame he was so close to Ruana. He doubted someone like her could be safely imprisoned...
"...Somehow, against all odds, he doesn't see us as tools or playthings like the adults around him." Enoch paused. "I...I wonder if Dax had the most work in raising him."
no subject
Dax was a wound too raw to talk about.

"What do you mean? You look far older than he does."
Someone was neither around to learn about Aleph's past or Zo's age...
no subject
Casually mentioned. It's something that doesn't bother him often.
no subject
And Zo as well...how strange...well, if a native's "psionics" affected a person's lifespan, why not rapid aging? He just hoped it would slow down for Zo, if they were in for the long haul.
"So, ah...would I be right in assuming you aren't human, then?"
It would certainly explain the names, at least.
no subject
He'd do anything not to consider himself an angel, really.
no subject
"You're human if you were created so. Even if it wasn't by normal means."

If Zo even knew himself. Aleph hadn't known his own origins for a long time.
