Rain rain go away
Characters: Shion and you
Setting: Starting in room 2-12, going to sauna, then generally around the tower
Format: Any
Summary: Shion in spring
Warnings:
[Must protect the books] The water woke him up the moment it started and he opened his eyes, bringing his hand up to protect them from the... rain...
Rain... inside. Shion jumped out of bed, landing in the water already pooling on the floor, and rushed to his trunk. Luckily he had put his coat in the top and so that had taken the most water damage so far, his notes were beginning to smear though and he grabbed them pushing them under his clothes and wishing he had something more waterproof.
He grabbed Hamlet as well and his copies of his mushroom guide he had written. Perhaps he could hide them under his mattress and hope the room didn't flood...
Why on earth was it raining inside? He had to go and find Xion, and Elena, check they were alright. He pulled on his shoes, though they were already soaked and didn't do much good. His white hair was plastered to his face and water trickled down his neck.
He started down the stairs to Xion's room when he remembered something... Reno's journal... it was in his locker, was it raining everywhere?
Turned out it was, water poured down the stair case making things trecherous. But soon he was in the sauna, he hurried to the locker, opening it fearing what he would find...
And then let out a sigh of relief, the locker was dry... no water had gotten in. The journal was safe. He let out a sigh of relief and put the other books and papers in there. Safe for now even if there was damage already done.
He locked the locker and set off back up the stairs.
[Beware the plantlife] He had gotten back up to floor 101 safely though going up the stairs was even harder than going down. And he was concentrating so hard on not slipping he forgot to skip the glowing step. He ended up in the gardens, which wasn't too much of a problem.
Until a red bulbed plant tried to take his finger off. He jumped backwards trying to swipe at the vine as another red bulb opened it's mouth.
[And prepare for the worst.] There was no food, no workers. It was like June again but no disappearances as far as Shion knew and it was still raining. He went up to the safe forest, at least outside the rain was less terrifying, it was supposed to rain outside. And the trees provided decent cover.
He looked around for mushrooms and any early season berries that there might be. Who knew how long this period without food could go on, and he doubted that any stores people had managed to form had survived the rain...

It was fortunate he noticed Shion when he did, taking a swing at the attacking plant.

The plant turned on the new person, bulbs snapping at him.

Usually he started from the highest floor and worked his way down; it was a struggle but one that did not daunt him.
It's when he sees Shion lunging backwards to escape the hostile plant he diverts from his plans—a familiar mantra, Trace on and the twin blades Kanshou and Bakuya appear in his hands. "Hey!" he slashed at the red bulb of the plant.

He swiped again at one of the bulbs with Kanshou.

...Water dripping onto his eyelids would certainly do it.
Archer tensed as he sat up in bed, hands going to his face and neck as he felt rainwater -- and kept feeling rain water. A curse left his lips as he looked up to see rain coming from the ceiling, his bewilderment and annoyance plain on his face as he looked around the dorm room.
"What on earth is this?"

His foot touched water on the floor right about then, and another curse escaped. Well, that would explain why the boy was trying to scrounge up his things.

Random Stairwell
Feet carried her towards where Shion and Xion resided, feet slipping every once and a while on the thin layer of water that had accumulated on the floor. It would be difficult as all hell to manage a fight with any monster in the halls, though the slipperiness would be useful.
But water on stairs, now that was just asking for trouble. There was no need to rush and risk breaking something, so she was taking her time to place each step carefully and solidly on the stair below before moving forward. At the sound of footsteps coming up towards her, she shifted, a fisted hand lifting as she moved into a defensive stance. But once she caught sight of a familiar mop of silver-white hair, she lowered her hand, pulling several strands of sopping wet hair back out of her face as she gave a little nod.
"In a hurry somewhere?"

Its a little joke, but enough of one that even she couldn't help but give a little chuckle herself. But the lightheartedness is short-lived and she's looking serious once more. When he slips her hand shoots out, wrapping around his arm to prevent him from falling.
"Woah there. Careful..."
