To him, this chilling rain fit his current mood all too well as he just stood there in the hallways, trudging through silently as he did nothing of sorts to even protect himself. In fact, he was too tired that the only thing he could do was to walk on and try to get his bearings together. February and March at this point, could go to hell for all he care- but that'd be too strong a word for him, hell.

But it's really fitting, since this tower could be comparable to that.

His thoughts were interrupted as he collapsed on a heap, exhaustion, hunger and the cold finally getting to him as he just lied there on the ground, looking as if he's about to die.]

[Maybe? That wasn't good. He backs up slightly, as if Naegi will somehow transfer whatever he has to him.]

You shouldn't stay here if you are. I-I don't know, get some chicken soup or something, don't lay on the ground like that...

Ground seemed nice.

[yeah he just wants to sleep, man.]

You do have a bed, don't you? Why not sleep on that?

Yeah, well, the ground is wet, too. Kind of beats the purpose if you move from wet place to another.

[A slight frown.]

Honestly, is this something you do often...?

[primordial]

Well, at least you're not crazy. That's good.

[He rubs the back of his neck, trying to figure out what to say next.]

Did something happen...?

I guess you can say that.

[He's vague about it, considering it's a private matter, but at least he's changing the topic.]

Why are you here?

[primordial]

Me?

[He seems surprised the topic is being moved to him, and blinks a few times before:]

I was just passing by. [A narrowing of his eyes.] W-why, should I not be here?

N-no.

[There's a shake of his head.]

Does anyone know you're here? Friends, maybe? I mean, there's got to be somebody worried about you out there.

No one, I've seen no one yet.

[Considering he hasn't seen them after finding out that a person left.]

[So he's alone, no one knows he's here, and he's pretty much the most pathetic depressed creature Sam has ever had the pleasure to set eyes on.]

[He could do something horrible to the guy and have no one be the wiser, but...maybe this guy would be useful later. If he did a favor for him, maybe he could elicit a favor later in return.]

[So he crouches slightly, face filling with what seems to be vivid concern.]

...Do you want me to stay with you? I-I'd hate for you to be by yourself while you're like this.

If you want. I'm not a good company though.

[considering he's still in this self-depreciating state, but hey at least he's a bit less moodier than earlier.]

[A timid little attempt at a smile.] Hey, I don't think I am either, so...maybe we'll both be good company for each other, huh?

[And he moves to sit by him, not even showing too much concern that he's sitting right in the cold water on the floor.]

[A slight nod.] How long have you been here?

A long while.

[That's all he can remember for now without delving too deep into his memories.]

Oh, I see. I've only been here for a short while, myself.

[He glances at the wet ground, eyes following the little ripples and such that the raindrops are making from the ceiling.]

I feel really sorry for people like you, you know? Because you had to go through so much in such a long period of time...I don't know how you do it.

..you just pick yourself up, dust it off, and keep on walking, I guess.

[sounds like a normal advice from someone who had suffered a lot of mental breaking things in this place.]

[He frowns sadly at that, hand reaching up to brush a stray hair out of his eye.]

Yeah. Guess that's all you can do, huh. That's what I've done, at least.

Well, having friends would help too, I guess...

Oh, definitely. I've never been good at keeping friends, though. They all leave...

[His gaze turns to Naegi, watching his reaction intently.]

But I'm sure you have lots of friends who wouldn't do that, heh.

And I'm sure I wouldn't do that to you.

[Yes, he just said what you think he said.]

[There's a long pause...and he raises an eyebrow, mouth gaping a bit before he manages to speak:]

B-but we just met. You would do something like that? For a total stranger?
