Summary: Ishtar sets up the program that Hei wanted to set up for a while, but he was feeling unwell, so she took over.

[ As promised. In the library, there were signs giving off the subjects of the teachers and what they were teaching along with the name of the teachers. Ishtar tried her best to organize it so that the hug library was of good use. She spaced the areas off so that there weren't too many noises coming from one professor, and she even made sure to provide them information if they so need it.

She stretches a bit and prepared herself for what will happen next. She knew Hei was a lot better at this than she was, but she did her best. She hoped it would work out. ]

I do be yes [She smiled back] I do imagine it could be being very interesting with so many different opinions from different worlds.

You would be imagining correctly then. There are quite a few interesting topics, theories, and outlooks on life from many different philosophers in my universe. I do apologize that I cannot cover what the ones in your universe may theorize about. I was not there, and therefore, cannot say. But I can start with the basics from what I know in my universe.

First, a question to start off this first lecture: do you know what a philosopher is?

Nesir nodded and didn't roll her eyes, she knew it was a class for the basics and he would have to check how much if anything they knew. "A philosopher do be studying philosophy, usually it do be used for someone who do be a master of it. Philosophy do be being the investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct. There do be lots of differing branches, it can also be the study of the gods though that do be being more often called theology."

chaos nodded, going through a few old books and opening up a couple, smiling at the text. So many memories..

"Good. It is nice to see that you know a little bit coming into the class. However, philosophy and theology often overlap and mix. We could be covering theology here too..but then it would be more than a philosophy class."

Okay, that was a bad attempt at humor on his part. However, smiling, he quickly moved on.

"As for philosophy, in my universe, it began at the start of the sixth century B.C., at Miletus, a Greek colony with a man named Thales. Thales and a few other men did something revolutionary then. Instead of using the heavenly bodies to make fortunes, they used whatever information they had to try and explain their nature and their movements. Do you understand me so far?"

Nesir listened carefully and then nodded, "I do be understanding, they did be trying to be understanding the world right?"

She paused, "But I do no be knowing what a heavenly body is."

At that, chaos nodded in return. So, she came from a universe where they didn't call stars that.

"They did. And a heavenly body is just the stars. Since it looked like they were nestled in the heavens, they called them heavenly bodies. Or is heaven a new concept to you as well?"

Oh the stars. Nesir nodded, "Yes I do no be hearing that word before either."

"It is alright. It's basically one half of the afterlife. There are many stories and viewpoints about it, but it is basically where people who believe in God go after they die."

[culbutiri]

"Which god? We do be having six on my world and we do be believing you do be being reborn when you do be dying."

She was interested in this, always wanting to know about other worlds and their beliefs.

Well, that was interesting..Buddhism had the reincarnation, but not the gods. This was interesting. As chaos thought, he spoke.

"That is an interesting belief..however, in my universe, there are many religions. Some have one god, others have many, and a few have no gods at all. The religion that heaven belongs to only has one god that created everything."

[culbutiri]

"So the people who do be believing in this one god do be going to heaven when they do be dying?" This god created everything, did the gods of other religions help it?

[lightofhumanity]

"That is what they believe. However, they also believe that if one goes against god or makes a pact with a demon, than the shall go into hell, the other half of the afterlife where god does not reside."

[culbutiri]

"So there do be being two afterlives, one for those who do be on gods side and one for those who do be against god?" She wasn't sure what a demon was exactly but she had heard the word before and figured that t was some kind of monster.

[lightofhumanity]

"Yes, if you follow that religion. There are a few different beliefs about what happens to you when you die, depending upon which religion you follow."

So the gods do be being in charge of what do be happening to their believers after they do be dying?

[lightofhumanity]

Depending upon the religion, yes.

That do be sounding very interesting. So heaven do be one of the places they do be being sending their followers and people do be calling the stars heaven? Is that where they believe heaven do be?

[Somehow, this has turned into a theology class. Not that chaos really minds.]

Since people have seen space in my universe, people now think that heaven is a different dimension above the one the reside in. But, in the past, they thought that the stars were just below heaven.

Rei did be telling me about the stars. Do it not be getting crowded in this heaven?

I am glad to hear that..but no, it does not.

That do be interesting, do people be leaving it then?

[lightofhumanity]

No..heaven is supposed to be bigger than the human population, so it can support everyone that comes in.

[culbutiri]

And so they do be just staying there for eternity?

[lightofhumanity]

Yes, they do.

[She nodded, it sounded a bit boring actually, but she wasn't about to insult someone else's beliefs.] So these philosophers did be seeing the stars, and trying to understand the world and heaven?
