Summary: Jonouchi awakes to his new setting, finds it hard to believe his world is gone, and instead of thinking to take the elevator to get to the bottom (to try and leave the tower) he took the stairs.
Warnings: Monsters within

[Jonouchi awoke in his new bed, but found it hard to do anything at first. Before now he never experienced sleep paralysis while conscious. The blonde was eventually able to lift himself only to notice his dull attire.] GAH, what the hell?! [It was only a matter of time before he reached the letter, informing him of his situation. Jonouchi was more angered than anything. Jonouchi noticed the small trunk at the foot of his bed, it didn't have anything worth wild. A pair of his clothes and the shoes Yuugi brought back for him. His exterior softened at the thought of his friend.] Yuugi. [He wasn't here too, right? Jonouchi wouldn't tolerate it if he was.]

[After adjusting to his situation as best he could (and changing into comfortable clothes,) Jonouchi would be on his way to the bottom of the tower! Rather than think things through, or realize that there was an elevator Jonouchi took the stairs. He lost track of time of when it was he first started, he didn't break often, but now he needed too.]

Who's bright idea was it putting in all these stairs?! [The blonde complained as he caught his breath, however it was short-lived when the step beneath him fell out causing him to tumble into the floor. #$@%$#] Is this some kinda bad joke, 'cause I'm not laughing!![Still blaming Kaiba for his troubles. It was bad enough his rude entrance drew attention to himself, his complaining didn't help. Some blood hungry monsters saw opportunity to a good meal, an easy meal. He had no powers to fend off supernatural things. When one came into sight, it felt as though his heart came out of his chest. He experienced fear before, but never quite like this. Jonouchi stepped up slowly, careful to keep the monster from plunging at him. His effort was in vain since it was already on the offense.]

Shit! [Barrel roll!]

[After his rough experience with floor 30, it's was necessary to check in and make sure he wouldn't die of any injures he might have obtained.]

[ Who on earth would want to explore such a place in the middle of the night? Honestly, Ishtar learned a good thing or two about this world and she sure as hell didn't want to get stuck in it. The princess sighed a little as she heard noises on the 30th floor. The one place she didn't go to often because of the large amount of monsters that inhabited it.

Running a hand through her hair and tapping Sidia at the side of her waist, she stepped into the floor. As soon as she did, the stairs gave away and she landed on her feet on the hallway of floor thirty. Any minute now, there would be something coming for her. ]

Hello, anyone back there?

[ She called loudly. She knew she was going to attract beasts but whatever, it wasn't a big deal at this point. ]

[She's not going to hear anything at first. After all of the ruckus it has finally settled down...somewhat. Not to say she didn't have a welcoming committee of her own as a portion of beats closed in on her.]

[ Ishtar kept walking because this was starting to be really weird. Ishtar stared at the beasts whens he realized she was utterly surrounded. ]

Oh you have got to be shitting me.

[ She tugs at Sidia. ] I don't have time for this crap, get out of my way!

[ She quickly slashed at a few with Sidia. On top of that, Sidia was coated with one of her magic spells. ]

[He method of attack and defense didn't seem to deter the monsters as they were about to jump her.]

[ She didn't waste any time to dive at them and cleanly rushing through a few of them. ]

I didn't spend my time going through hell to be something's dinner!

FLOOR 30; eyup

[ He looked into the floor. Somehow, his ass decided it was a good idea to venture the 30th floor in the middle of the night. Well. That was mighty wonderful. The floor gave in again and he was in the middle of a pretty shitty looking place. He sure as hell hoped that no one was stuck here.

Too bad he heard the screaming from a distance. It wasn't all that bright so it was hard for him to detect it. Instead, he made a break for it and ran into the floor trying to secure the person that was stuck there. The immediate scream showed him that someone was in danger and who was Kuwabara to not go and try to save them?

Honestly, he was everyone's white knight. ]

[It just happens to be a good thing Jonouchi is athletic as he is or he probably would have been eaten by now. That was the good thing though, the bad thing was worse. Already a monster claw had managed to gash his arms, not arteries were cut, but he did bleed.] The hell are these things?!

[If you thought Jonouchi tried to give it a good whack, you thought right! His attempt to fight them off seemed to have little effect on them, and now the numbers were multiplying. One monster successfully clamped its jaws on his other arm, and jerked him as if to rip it off, it didn't jerk hard enough as his arm was still attached.

Enough freaking out, he really needed to act if he wanted to get out of this alive to see his friends again. The blonde changed moods, clenching his fist, before slamming his elbow onto the head of the beast that held him. It was like a feeding frenzy when the next blood hungry beat went for his leg.]

[ OH FOR THE LOVE OF ENMA!!! What the hell is going on here?! Kuwabara ran faster into the hear to of the floor to give the guy a hand. He saw him coming with the injuries and the damn monsters almost attached to his arms and legs. He wasn't about to leave someone like that. ]

REIKEN!

[ A short battle cry and she slashed at the one that was going for his leg. Those things were blood thirsty!!! These monsters just get worse and worse by day! He swings again at another round, getting in front of the blond. He didn't think people would end up here so easily, but it happened. He wasn't happy with it. ] OI GET BACK!!!!

[ Another quick swing. ]

[So this was going pretty badly, and he was certain he was going to die because of it. As much as he wanted to not give up so he can see Yuugi and his friends again, his hope was dwindling. Not to mention they left a good mark on him. He's never split so much blood before.

Jonouchi certainly wasn't going to complain about the surprise help lady luck herself gifted him. He'd be more surprised at the energy sword if not for the fact that monsters were still coming at them.]

BEHIND YOU!

[A little tip for Kuwabara so he doesn't get taken out from the back.]

[ Kuwabara swung again when he found a good middle ground between him and the blond. At least, he was shielded for the time being nad he was glad the guy wasn't dead yet. He would have felt bad if he did end up dread. Kuwabara didn't exactly think of anything when he struck the monsters. He didn't even think how weird it was that he just drew an energy sword on his friend. ]

...!

[ He swings around just in time to connect his first with another monster, giving off an orange glow from his fist ] That's cheating ya damn rascals!

[ He swings another time, ridding them of more monsters. ]

Can ya still run?

[ His tone was dead serious when asked that. ]

Second Floor

[Raphael spent almost all of his time in the clinic so that he could better live up to his name and fulfill his duties. So, when he saw an injured man with blind hair walking into the clinic, he would go up to the boy and try to put a hand on his shoulder. If he was successful, Jonouchi would glow green for a moment..before finding himself healed.]

Are you alright now?

[Whoa! What? Who? What skladsjk JUST HAPPENED? This stuff would never fly on his world, was this some kind of witchcraft?

He's fine now, but how?]

H-how did you do that?!

[He must be dreaming. This was all a dream right? Right.]

[Sorry, Jonouchi, this wasn't a dream. Raphael just kept smiling kindly as he replied to the boy.]

It is what I was created for. I am the Archangel Raphael.

[This wasn't spoken as a boast..more as a fact.]

[..This was his first time dealing with someone who didn't know what an Archangel was. It was..odd. Very odd.]

Yes..it means that I am an Angel of slightly higher class than others.

[Thorin had decided to wander from his location. He cared not for the room he had awoken in. It felt like a prison cell for his liking. Still just wearing the white trousers they had given him, he set out up the stairs. It seemed there were quite a number of stairs within this place. Perhaps, if he climbed high enough, he could escape out of the top room.

He kept his eyes open and his reflexes awake as he looked around. He saw a blond boy ahead. Maybe he knew what was going on? It was dark but his dwarven eyes picked out the small figure.]

Who is there?

[Through all of the stairs he traveled, Jonouchi didn't expect to encounter anyone now? Was it a guard? He sounded like one of those guards. The blonde better change tactic.He's going to jump the guy and get the information he needs.

The young teen will creep...slowly...until the stranger was within striking distance.

AND NOW!

Thorin have a surprise attack from a young human child.]

TAKE THIS!

[Thorin wasn't expecting the surprise attack from the small figure up ahead. Going into defensive mode, Thorin shielded his face from any blade or fist aimed at him. He cried out as he felt the impact against his left shoulder. He growled then swung around with a right hook from his own fist.

He wasn't going to use his sword as he didn't know if the figure meant to strike him or not. Breaking away from the figure, he glared at the boy.]

Halt your attack! What in Durin's name do you think you are doing? [He was nursing his bruised shoulder as he shot daggers at the lad.]

[Jonouchi could evade the counterattack easily enough, hand-to-hand combat was more his thing and what he was known for on the streets of Domino.

Still he was taken by surprise, for his attack to be thwarted as easily as it was. Also the man's appearance, it didn't scream modern day in the slightest. He spoke funny too.]

You mean you don't work here?

[No Jonouchi. He doesn't.]

Nay, I have only just got here myself, lad. [His voice sharp and his tone annoyed. Being attacked wasn't his idea of a greeting. He rubbed his aching shoulder and sighed.]

Do people get attacked in this place often? Is that why you attacked me in this dim light?

Floor 30

[no_longer_a_king]

[And in a flash of white and gold, a girl had come to his rescue, neatly decapitating one of the nearest monsters. She glances over her shoulder at him, still-bloody sword in hand:]

Are you injured, boy?

[Why is she calling him 'boy' when she looks younger than Jounouchi?]

[This is going to hurt his man pride later.]

W-who're you?

[Forget his injuries. Where did you come from?]

[Higher up the stairs.]

I'm called 'Saber'. [And then she proceeds to slash through another trio of monsters.]

Run! Now! I'll catch up with you.

[Insisting him to run wont make him run. Especially if the one insisting is a girl

Pardon his stubborn stupidity.]

I can't let you do that!

[She's used to it, sadly. She cuts through more monsters, whirling toward him and pointing her blade at him now that there's a moment of peace here.]

Have you ever held a sword before? Or any weapon at all to cleave beasts such as these in two? If so, then forgive my rudeness in killing the game you sought, but I cannot abide by someone who has no idea what he is doing being ripped apart by these things.
