Summary: Jonouchi awakes to his new setting, finds it hard to believe his world is gone, and instead of thinking to take the elevator to get to the bottom (to try and leave the tower) he took the stairs.
Warnings: Monsters within

[Jonouchi awoke in his new bed, but found it hard to do anything at first. Before now he never experienced sleep paralysis while conscious. The blonde was eventually able to lift himself only to notice his dull attire.] GAH, what the hell?! [It was only a matter of time before he reached the letter, informing him of his situation. Jonouchi was more angered than anything. Jonouchi noticed the small trunk at the foot of his bed, it didn't have anything worth wild. A pair of his clothes and the shoes Yuugi brought back for him. His exterior softened at the thought of his friend.] Yuugi. [He wasn't here too, right? Jonouchi wouldn't tolerate it if he was.]

[After adjusting to his situation as best he could (and changing into comfortable clothes,) Jonouchi would be on his way to the bottom of the tower! Rather than think things through, or realize that there was an elevator Jonouchi took the stairs. He lost track of time of when it was he first started, he didn't break often, but now he needed too.]

Who's bright idea was it putting in all these stairs?! [The blonde complained as he caught his breath, however it was short-lived when the step beneath him fell out causing him to tumble into the floor. #$@%$#] Is this some kinda bad joke, 'cause I'm not laughing!![Still blaming Kaiba for his troubles. It was bad enough his rude entrance drew attention to himself, his complaining didn't help. Some blood hungry monsters saw opportunity to a good meal, an easy meal. He had no powers to fend off supernatural things. When one came into sight, it felt as though his heart came out of his chest. He experienced fear before, but never quite like this. Jonouchi stepped up slowly, careful to keep the monster from plunging at him. His effort was in vain since it was already on the offense.]

Shit! [Barrel roll!]

[After his rough experience with floor 30, it's was necessary to check in and make sure he wouldn't die of any injures he might have obtained.]

[Thorin wasn't expecting the surprise attack from the small figure up ahead. Going into defensive mode, Thorin shielded his face from any blade or fist aimed at him. He cried out as he felt the impact against his left shoulder. He growled then swung around with a right hook from his own fist.

He wasn't going to use his sword as he didn't know if the figure meant to strike him or not. Breaking away from the figure, he glared at the boy.]

Halt your attack! What in Durin's name do you think you are doing? [He was nursing his bruised shoulder as he shot daggers at the lad.]

[Jonouchi could evade the counterattack easily enough, hand-to-hand combat was more his thing and what he was known for on the streets of Domino.

Still he was taken by surprise, for his attack to be thwarted as easily as it was. Also the man's appearance, it didn't scream modern day in the slightest. He spoke funny too.]

You mean you don't work here?

[No Jonouchi. He doesn't.]

Nay, I have only just got here myself, lad. [His voice sharp and his tone annoyed. Being attacked wasn't his idea of a greeting. He rubbed his aching shoulder and sighed.]

Do people get attacked in this place often? Is that why you attacked me in this dim light?

[Lad?! If he's suppose to be acting his role or whatever, this guy was kinda cool...and buff!]

No idea, I woke up here earlier. I'm looking for a way out.

[His home is not gone. He refuses to believe it!]

[Thorin is muscled and buff due to working most of his younger life as a blacksmith. Hammering every hour of the day made him into well-built dwarf.]

The same for me. I wish to find whoever is responsible for doing this to us.

Whoever they are, they're stealthy. You're the only person I've seen since I left the room.

[He hasn't explored the floors. He doesn't want to explore them. Some were either too dark, or too suspicious and some were just plain creepy.]

They are cowards. If they seek to imprison us within these walls then they are gravely wrong. [He vowed to find an exit out of this prison. Whether he would have to fight then he would use all skills available to him.]

I have fought many enemies before. Perhaps exploring higher or lower within the tower will help us locate our captors.

[Jonouchi can agree with him on that.

~~But wow, if everyone really was from different worlds, that meant this guy was actually a warrior. A living, breathing warrior!~~]

I checked out some of the floors. [Not much though, he didn't trust a lot of them.] They aren't safe. Think there's an exit on the first floor?

[He is a warrior, Jonouchi. A fully trained dwarven prince who knew how to wield both axe and sword. At the same time too. Could you tell by the many scars and marks over his muscled torso as he stood before you.]

What lies on these other floors? Perhaps we should investigate this exit.

Some of them are too dark to tell. [Others...well...Jonouchi couldn't tell if they were rooms or landscapes. It was really confusing.]

My eyes are well adjusted to darkened places. I have spent all of my life underground within the mountain. Perhaps I can assist in our search for the exit within these darkened halls? [Darkness was no enemy to the dwarven king.]

[Just what is this guy, other than being so freaking cool?!]

There's a few floors like that. I forgot which ones... But they wont be hard to find again.

Then I shall search for them. [He will not be smited by rooms or corridors. Erebor was vast, so this tower should not be difficult to navigate around.]

Are you hungry, lad?

No, don't tell me you have an appetite after being abducted against your will.

Why wouldn't I? I have not eaten for many days now. Before I was abducted, I was travelling along a great mountain path with scarcely enough to eat or drink.

[He is grouchy because he is also tired. Sorry, Jonouchi.]

[That was hardcore. He didn't know where any food was though.]

Sorry. Can't help you with that.

[He sighed. Who or what could help him now?]

Why don't we find something to eat?

We me? [Really?] Okay!

[Where, where?]

How about finding out where this cafeteria is?

[Pondered for a moment. He's been wandering through the stairs for awhile now, and he would remember if it was offering food.] It's not anywhere upstairs.

[So that left the rest of downstairs.]

So, perhaps downstairs? [It was the most obvious course of action and Thorin was a hungry dwarf. A dangerous asset.]

Probably, which floor are we on anyway?

I am not sure, to be honest. [Damn. Why was this place to confusing?]

This is a pain. Let's go down stairs. [Nothing is upstairs anyway. Besides more floors.]

Lead on. [He was guessing Jonouchi knew the tower better than himself.]
