Entry tags:
There were wires all around, electrical sounds
Characters: Rabbit and Open!
Setting: Lagoon, forest, and then rampaging around the dormitory.
When: Anywhere from midday to midnight
Format: Prose/action it's whatever you please
Summary: Rabbit has gotten bored and went exploring. Unfortunately he gets so bored that he's forced to take drastic action in the form of loud accordion sounds on the dorm floor.
Warnings: Rabbit is his own warning.
Lagoon
It was pretty here, he'd admit that. Pretty enough to bask in the sun and play in the sand but not nearly pretty enough to even attempt to play in the water. The robot knew his own weaknesses. He settled for hurling large rocks into the crystal clear lagoon waters, or skipping stones, before building a massive sand castle in the sands of the beach and rampaging through it. He cared exactly just enough about his clothes to carefully hang them from a branch before happily making a massive mess out of the pristine beach. The Spine would have had a fit to see his brother prancing around with no pants on, but it wasn't as if there were any parts to hide persay. Then again, a lady showing up might actually earn the shameless robot's embarrassment.
Forest
Not half bad. He hadn't been in a forest in a long time, and it was kind of interesting to be in one again. Clothed this time, and attempting to climb up the bigger, thicker looking trees. He knew damn well the little ones would never be able to support his copper frame. Humming show tunes and generally being loud and childish in the forest, at the very least he was keeping it to a wild, wooded area rather than a place where people might actually be attempting to rest. Anyone approaching the robot here would probably get talked to death, as he was fast running out of patience for this place, as massive as it was. He enjoyed attention after all, exploring only fun if there was someone else to do it with.
Dorms
Well he'd lost it.
He'd returned to the dorms with exactly zero things to do and not enough of the attention he so craved. He was used to people! Lights! Action! Music! Brothers to tease! And so far he hadn't met anyone he knew at all so... Well apparently everyone must suffer.
He'd taken to roaming the halls, a horrible honking accompanying him. He'd gotten the accordion out and was pretty much abusing the poor thing, pressing every key imaginable and rapidly expanding and contracting it, mad mechanical giggles and whirrs filling the hallway, which would occasionally break out into full out laughter and a few lines of garbled music.

He was so bored!
Dorms
"It's okay! Daddy will come here soon! Zo will help him get here, and we'll all escape the bad people!"
Dorms
And it wasn't fair that a little girl had to be dragged into this too. As fanciful as Rabbit could get...
"Y-yeah..."
Dorms
"What's wrong, Rabbit?"
Dorms
He certainly couldn't start crying in front of her.
"N-nuthin'. Nuthin's wr-wrong. Just... thinkin', that's all."
Dorms
"About what?"
Dorms
"H-h-home. My brothers. ... I miss 'em."
Dorms
"It's alright! They'll come here soon and take us all home! You just have to be patient! It'll be okay!"
Dorms
If he didn't look old before, he certainly did now.
"...."
He wasn't sure what to say. He couldn't ruin her hopes just because he was upset. He was selfish, sure, but not cruel.
".... I-I-If ya sa-say so, kiddo."
Dorms
"I say so! Don't worry! Everything's gonna be fine!"
Dorms
"Y-y-yeah. Su-sure. Everythin's... gonna be fine."
Dorms
"Yup! There are lots of good people here, so we'll be fine! Everything's gonna be fine!"
Dorms
"Yeah... a whole lotta go-good people. You sure a-a-are a lucky kid, ha-havin' found so many nice people here."
Dorms
"There really are..but what's 'lucky'?"
Dorms
"What's lu-lu-lucky? Huh... We-well... lucky is... when ya ge-ge-get the last piece o'cake. Or wa-wa-wake up just in time ta see yer favorite show on TV. Or yer pa-pants shrink in the dryer, bu-but after they do they fit just right."
Dorms
"So..when good things happen to you for no reason?"
Dorms
Dorms
"..What if bad things happen and you weren't ex..expecting them?"
Dorms
"Tha-tha-that's unlucky then." But he didn't want to talk about anyone being unlucky. It was unlucky to be here, really.
"But yer not that unlucky, are ya, kiddo?"
Dorms
"I don't think so..I was brought here without Daddy unexpectedly, and I didn't expect to be killed..but I met a lot of good people too, and I met you."
Dorms
The smile vanished from his face, and he knelt again, staring at her.
".... Ya d-d-died?"
Dorms
"I did! Two bad people found me, a boy with short green hair and a girl with loong white hair..and the girl beat Yotsuba up until she died!"
Dorms
"O-O-Oh really?" Well that... he wasn't going to sit well with that. He reached out, attempting to gather the little girl right up to him and give her a (gentle) but firm hug.
"A-a-ain't no one gonna hurtcha ever a-a-again, sweetheart. I pro-pro-promise. Not with ol' Rabbit around."
Dorms
At the promise, Yotsuba..smiled a little. Rabbit's promise sounded a lot like Red's. He really was a good person!
"Really?! Thank you! I don't want people to worry..and Daddy would be sad if I wasn't here when he finally got here!"
Dorms
But she seemed happy with the hug, and that was what was important. He patted her back, puffing out a short burst of steam.
"Re-really really. Yer dad sure w-w-would be sad if he didn't fi-find his little girl in one piece when he gets here. I'll ma-ma-make sure he finds ya okay, kiddo. I promise. An' I never ever ever break my promises."
Dorms
Yotsuba smiled as Rabbit patted her back and let out a puff of steam. The pat felt nice..but those puffs of steam really were interesting. If only she could make them..
"He would be! Daddy needs my help sometimes, so he would be sad if I wasn't here..thank you! I'll re..remember that!"
