we'll rise up and take the power back
Characters: Team Hero [Robin (
tacticaldisaster), Hakumen (
iamthewhitevoid), AU!Link (
ocariness), anyone else who wants in]
Setting: Floor 101, elsewhere in order to pick up allies
Format: Starting with action, do as you wish after!
Summary: The Fellowship of Heroes is formed in response to the Rebellion plot.
Warnings: HEROES BEING HEROIC. I actually don't know yet tho.
[Robin has noticed that on some of the floors, one simply cannot use their powers. Even her tomes are defunct - she's tried. Experimented, if you will - and kept meticulous notes in her journal just in case something went wrong.
This counts as "something going horribly wrong", this increase in drones and mutilated, mangled, brainwashed people. Some floors she hasn't gotten to check out yet -- but she's going to have to try, she thinks as she steps onto the last step up. It's a glowing step (she notes that), and just like that she is teleported into what seems to be a hanging garden. Very handy; the drones may not be able to follow a person here as easily as they would otherwise. A quick test tells her that this is another "powerless" floor.
Good thing she can use a sword as well as she can use magic.
"Floor One Hundred One: Garden floor, accessed via non-obvious teleport on last step up of staircase. No powers permitted. Apparent disconnect from the rest of the tower; no staircase. Arrow buttons apparently a replacement as such. Up and down arrows, specifically - indicating direction of return?"
For now, this is as good a base of operations as anyone could hope for. Here, she'll be on equal standing with any drone that manages to get in, because if she can't use her powers then they probably can't either. The only problem, of course, is that she appears to be alone.
There is always and has always been safety in numbers.
As a result, Robin can be found with the hood of her duster/cloak up on the floors nearest the teleport, trying to locate others that haven't been brainwashed.]

They may as well!
Yes. That's why I gathered a group instead of going charging off by myself. [There's a smile, and then--
Then, she's all business.]
Anyone who is better at ranged combat or at healing would do well to stick with someone who is better at front-line combat and could, preferably, act as a shield for their partner. Not only would it keep us from being overwhelmed by drones, it would likely be easier to deal with the environmental hazards as well.
[She gestures at the up and down buttons.]
From what I can tell, these teleporters connect to the very top stair and the very bottom stair. As such, it would probably be wisest to stick to the nearby floors - for now. When we have more manpower, we can extend our reach.
Thoughts?

im a good defender i can help defend someone
i dont have any healing magic or a fairy though
oh but i can also use my bow well
They're not 100% sure on what to do just yet, but that's a start--telling them what their skills are. ]

An actual bow? Legit? I call dibs on Link!
[Personal space? Haha, what's that? Makoto drapes an arm over Link's shoulder as she thumbs back towards herself]
Bustin' stuff up close range is my specialty! But I'm pretty crap at range, think you could watch my back?

But after a moment they attempt an awkward smile and a nod. Yeah they wouldn't mind watching your back for you, Makoto! Shouldn't be an issue. Hope you don't mind magic arrows! ]

At any other time, I would offer to go alone, but this tower has certain restrictions I cannot tolerate on my own.
I am much more suit on the front lines. Someone with long-range capabilities would best supplement my skills.
Hey this guy has been known to wield an axe...
I am Legiones Astartes. Which is to say, bolter, blade, or fist, I can fight. However, I arrived here without my weapons, so all I have are my fists.
[ Given the amount of other's people blood that looks to have dried on him that was apparently enough. It also helps he's 8 feet tall and is a wall of muscle cased in ceramite power armor. ]
I suspect they will suffice, however.
I haven't been here long, only a few days, and my previous sojourn here was simply a daemon-hunt, so for the moment consider me a tactical projectile and point me towards a target. We can take care of explanations later.

[...And there's that srsfais again!!]
Now...as for keeping in communication outside of this floor. The network would be convenient, but it's not secure even when functioning properly - and unless I'm mistaken, the mail is likely not secure either. We may need some code name to use for each other, ones that wouldn't draw too much attention from the admins.
Any ideas? I'm thinking "Shepherds", myself. There is a farm floor, isn't there?
no subject
So we are to assume other names?
...Susanooh. I'll go with that one.

i do not know about mythology or Earth but
Shepherds is too obvious
we need something that sounds normal
gardeners perhaps?
there are several floors here tailoring to plants
if one were to write letters or on the network about saying you needed help
it would make sense ]

This is a better plan. It's much more innocuous this way.
