Characters: Minato and YOU.
Setting: Various floors and then Floor 55 (incinerator), 75 (monster tower) and 12 (projection).
Format: Action for ease, will match.
Summary: In order to combat his hidden feelings of being a weak leader, Minato seek to grow stronger and feel needed…after doing his garbage duty job. Later, he watch the projections.
Warnings: Violence against monsters. Will update as needed.
Various Floors -> Incinerator
[After watching people’s reactions and the aftermath to the modifications, Minato felt, not for the first time, powerless. As the leader of SEES in his dead world, as a friend, he disliked being powerless. Every time he feel like that, he would go out and try to do things.
But first, he needed to collect the garbage on various floors and bring them to the incinerator on Floor 55. The mess from the modifications and how people acted probably contributed to the litter around.]
Floor 75 – A tower in a tower
[This floor has become Minato’s favoured training ground. While other floors offered more varied locations, fighting inside a tower like this, with monsters crawling around, was reassuringly familiar.
It’s almost like Tartarus again.
A click, a bang and one of his Personas came out to aid him in his training. With all the fighting he did so far and without access to the Velvet Room, his roster was severely stronger than they’re supposed to. If he can sit down and focus, he can see other possible Personas in his mind.
But without the Velvet Room’s assistance, they remained deeply buried in the sea of his soul. So close, yet so far from his reach.]
Cu Chulainn.
[With a voice, he summoned the warrior and joined his Persona in battle. Yelling them out, unless he’s in the heat of battle, would attract monsters to his location. He’s not completely reckless. Yet.]
Floor 12 – Projection
[After his training, Minato decided to return to the lower floors and rest up, maybe clean himself up in the bathroom later. But before he do, the young leader of SEES swinged by the twelfth floor.
Standing in the middle of the floor, he looked up and watch as the various worlds, planets, space stations--anything habited—destroyed one by one. And then the projection reset and show another world. Again and again, for quite a number of cycles.]

floor 12;
He had to see how things worked before offering any help, after all.
Once he felt comfortable with moving around the tower on his own again, he opted to explore a few of the lower floors - they seemed relatively safer than those closer to the top. Though as he stepped quietly onto the seemingly invisible flooring, there was a brief moment of ease he felt from being able to see the stars all around him rather than just in one small section of the sky like at home. But as the stars began to flicker out one by one, Yuusei looked up to see the way the planet seemed to lose all life and became a wasteland.
He remained silent as he watched it cycle twice more to make sure it wasn't just a trick of his eyes - different planets, different stars, but the same destruction. Glancing around, Yuusei's eyes fell on another, and he took a few steps forward, though he kept himself at a comfortable distance from the other. ]
... So this is how it happened.
[ He doesn't look pleased. At all. ]
Re: floor 12;
Hearing someone's voice, unfamiliar yet seemingly non-hostile, caused Minato to glance over at him.]
...Yes, that's right.
[He didn't watch how it happened to his world, but Minato saw the post-destruction state for himself before.]
What happened before we came to this tower.

And his home was destroyed.
Yuusei turned his gaze away as the last star flickered out and the world before him began to shrivel and die. ]
And we're expected to just stay here and accept it?

Floor 12
So, what do you think about the projection?
Re: Floor 12
What do I think? [He's quiet for a moment.] ...It's a nicer reminder of what's going on out there. That we're not the only ones affected by this...and some worlds have yet to be affected.

floor 12.
Nothing?
[ She isn't speaking to Minato — in fact, it looks like she may not have noticed him yet. Something around her face, a visor, flickers, noticeable only in the dark after one of the "shows" end. Although Minato can't hear it, a voice answers her from the earphones she wears. ]
Afraid not. All of these patterns are unique to one another.
We've been in here for ages. I hate this, you know that? Double-hate it, even.

Is she...talking to herself?]

Incinerator
Knowing his body had to go through that, it wasn't helping his spirits. Nonetheless, he wanders here. Briefly, he wonders if the bodies that vanish from here are thrown here too, or they really do traverse a desolate, destroyed world. Seeing the mess brought about from last week though, he certainly knew what was being burned in here now.]
Different from back then...

Floor 75
That was an impressive trick! You don't look like any Summoner I've ever seen! Not wearing enough green!
Re: Floor 75
...That's because I'm not exactly a Summoner. [Judging from the context, he can guess what kind of people this man is referring to.] And green isn't exactly my best colour.

Floor 12
[There's a familiar voice calling out to him while he's staring onto the endless cycles of planets and galaxies being destroyed. Turning to the voice would net him the sight of a concerned Makoto Naegi.]
Are you alright?
Re: Floor 12
[His attention snapped away from his own thoughts, Minato blinked and just noticed the other boy.
"Are you alright?"
Such a simple question, but honest too.]
I'm alright. ['I'm not strong enough, I wasn't there for people, I could've done things better--'] But thank you for asking.

floor 12
[Watching planets blow up, whole universes wither away. Riku still doesn't believe it's really happening out there, but it's... eerie that someone would stay there in this setting. Does he find it therapeutic or something?]
Re: floor 12
[Minato repeats the question, mostly to himself. How can he stand watching the projections for this long?]
I'm not sure. I guess it's a good reminder for myself, even if it's almost hard to believe sometimes.
[He's not as emotionally attached to those planets, when Minato knows people lived on them. But it's not as if he's apathetic to the scene.]

Floor 75
It had helped him start to feel more like himself again.
Though, during the monster hunt, he'd discovered a new floor on which he could guarantee at least one or two well-earned monster kills and so Sephiroth returns there during the next day to see how it compares to during the nighttime.
He pauses at the top of one of the stairwells in the Tower within a Tower and observes the fight going on between Minato, the Persona and the monster that had crossed their path. His own weapon, Masamune, held down and out pointed towards the floor but nevertheless ready and alert for anything that might creep up on him in the meantime.
That blue hair...Sephiroth is near certain seen that somewhere before...]
Re: Floor 75
The monster they're fighting against is a Moblin, a large pig-like monster with incredible muscle mass. Minato's blade or his Persona's spear doesn't seem to do as much damage, forcing them to back away and stick to using spells. But when he's forced to use his blade, his stance and form is usable.
It's what Minato get from mixing kendo with self-taught one-handed swordsmanship skills.]

Startled by her sudden appearance, Minato reflexively point his sword at her and Cu Chulainn's spear also aimed at her with almost perfect timing. Realising who it is, especially by her voice, Minato blinks and lowers his weapon. His Persona copies him, following his silent, mental order.]
