Summary: Zett has hide and seek to play. Then he finds a doll...
Warnings: None so far. Violence likely in the doll prompt. Chloe's thread gets creepy in sexual ways.

[Floor 92/Floor 73]
[If you're someone who's agreed to play hide and seek with Zett, on the agreed-upon day and time you'll find Zett tapping his foot impatiently near the stairway.] There you are!

[If you're not someone who's agreed to play, well, you might run into him waiting for his partner anyway. He'll explain what he's doing if asked.]

[Floor 99]
[Zett spends a lot of time in the caverns here. They remind him of his home in the Deep Hole, actually...

Visitors will find him just lying on his back staring up at the ceiling.]

[Around the Tower]
[It looks like Zett's giving a guide to the tower to someone, stopping at each floor on the stairway and explaining that floor's particular hazards to them. It's very thoughtful of him to do so.

Unfortunately, that 'someone' is a doll from the toy shop. Resembling a redheaded girl, it doesn't look exactly like the friend Zett left at home... But the doll's powers of suggestion are strong and he's now convinced that Mirai Kaname has entered the tower.

And he will lash out violently if anyone attempts to hurt her.]

It was... in a way, though most obviously hated the kidnapping and the strangling parts. Beautiful island though, and ... well, if it weren't for it and here I'd be dead.

Death gives a bit of perspective on these things, after all. I prefer to adapt, though I confess. That creature's habits do die hard...

[Another forward lean in, another very inappropriate smile, though this one looked more like she was teasing him.]

[Zett takes a step back this time.] It's not hard to tell. So! Next round?

mmm, yes. Next round. Aren't you just a little nervous what I might suggest as a dare after all those questions?

[She half closes the sarcophagus, a impish look in her eyes.]

[Please don't let her interpret that weirdly.]

[She blinks, and the smile on her face says she does interpret it weirdly. The door closes slowly after she winks and he can hear the first sounds of counting from within. It isn't fully closed, but it does serve well for this.]

[He doesn't want to lose this one. Unfortunately he's always been better at seeking than hiding... In the end he decides upon crouching behind the big sarcophagus - the sarcophagus itself is off limits but the area around it isn't.]

[This time, the fact that he opted for the sarcophagus is almost a real advantage. The minutes are ticking by. Her voice and crooning are getting closer by the minute, but it's been ten minutes already. Maybe he will get by off of using the same room?]

[He can't relax now. Now until the final minute passes will he be safe.

...still, it's a little bit of a relief to get this far.]

[Just as it feels about time, a head peeked around the corner, moving silently into the room. It started to make its way around the Sarcophagus, wondering if he'd broken the rule until it found the edge of his foot.

She moved up quickly and smiled.]

Clever...

But not quite clever enough.

[Beep beep beep beep. almost clever enough though.

Pretty close though... man, that's frustrating. Alright, what do you want?

[true_noir]

Her hands reached around to press to either side of his head and she leaned forward, grinning down at him and letting her lip quiver as she purred. "I could ask you for another kiss...," she whispered softly. "But that would feel almost redundant. A waste. Should I, perhaps, up the anty, or ask for something entirely different I wonder?"

Real demons didn't show when they were uncomfortable. Zett matched her gaze this time, trying to be firm. "I'm not picking the dare. You get to decide on your own."

Dares are Hard to pick!

She pursed her lips, leaning up close, eyes studying him for a moment. "I dare you to save my life," she said with an impish laugh as one hand reached up and pushed at the sarcophagus door.

In a flash, she was gone and somewhere in the pyramid the moans of the mummy could be heard. Giggles came from within, where she was trapped now, the woman curious if he'd actually do it.

They are!

Zett sighed and, with a mighty shove, pushed open the sarcophagus door. At least he didn't have to fight the mummy to get her out.

"That's a stupid dare."

She actually stuck her tongue out at him. "Perhaps," she admitted. "I had really hoped you'd fight the mummy for my honor or something similar. But, it does add just a little spice to your last attempts to find me, doesn't it?"

"I don't have to unless I'm dared to, and I'd rather not risk it if I don't have to." He shrugged. "Well, better get to hiding."

"Awww, you're no fun," she said, hopping out and closing it before winking at him and slipping out.

This time, though, she got as close to the moaning as she dared. The creature was on the move, and she was banking on Zett not risking getting that close. Finding one of the floor traps, she carefully set it off before slipping down and using a pair of knives to serve as handholds, her booted feet barely above the spikes below.

An acrobatic move and it was sliding closed, plunging her into darkness in the tiny space. Would he even think to search for her inside a pit trap? At the very least, it would be good exercise for her arms.

"You're dumb," he grumbled, approaching the mummy. He didn't know exactly where she went, so he figured she'd come back eventually when the mummy was gone.

She'd hear the sounds of lightning from within the pit trap, and groaning from the mummy.

Was Chloe the sort of little imp to 'cheat' by letting the mummy keep the demon busy enough to buy her a full fifteen minutes? Absolutely. She could hold herself here, using the edges of her boots to carefully avoid the spikes below. Maybe, if she was lucky, she'd actually pull off the hiding.

As the beeping went off, she hit the latch on the door once the sounds of groaning were fading and pulled herself out of the trap. A yank of her blades and she was rotating her arms, resetting it once again.

"I do believe I've managed to outfox you this time," she called out down the hall. No, she didn't fight fair and she knew it.

Zett sighed dramatically. "Yeah, yeah, you have. Alright, dare me."

She sauntered up towards him, grinning down and pressing a hand to the wall. She'd seen how uncomfortable she could make him, so she wanted to push just a little bit. Her smile took on the same look it had when she'd won the first dare, and she leaned up to give him a teasing wink.

"I'm claiming my three questions in that case. I dare you to answer them honestly," she whispered. "First one. You mentioned I'd make a cheater of you? Tell me, little demon... Is the one you'd be cheating on here in the tower to get jealous?"

Zett shook his head, his expression a melancholy one. "No, he isn't. Not yet."

For others, this was the moment where sympathy and empathy should have won out and made them feel compassion for Zett's situation. After all, it was only natural to feel for someone who was missing a good friend, or a loved one. Chloe, however, was not one known for her gifts in empathy. She tilted at his chin with another hand, tipping it up just slightly.

"It's not really cheating if you get lonely waiting for him, you know," she said softly. "Don't you think he'd forgive a little dalliance, if you were there for him when he arrived?"
