Characters: Sora [OU], OPEN!
Setting: Multiple places, at various points during the week (May 5-11-ish).
Format: Action preferred, but I'm fine with prose as well!
Summary: Sora, bored out of his mind, decides to restart the map-making project he was helping Zack with ages ago. Which means exploring. Which means probably getting into trouble. Meanwhile, Excalibur is looking for new friends!

This log has a few different options, but as Sora will probably be going to or passing by nearly all the floors in-between, feel free to leave a comment set on a floor I haven't made a scenario for (though I'd prefer to avoid floors too far beyond floor 50, since I may do another post with those later). I've been very out of the loop RP-wise lately and I'd really love to rebuild Sora's CR, so any and all interactions are welcome!
Warnings: Nothing so far, but I'm open to fighting/character death if monster fights or whatever end up happening, and will update accordingly.




[For the next few days, people who are wandering around may run into a young boy, wearing clothes that are now a few sizes too small for him, carrying around a pencil and a few sheets of paper he probably snagged from the mailroom. He's cautiously traveling through various floors, scribbling notes every now and then as he goes. Though he looks busy, he's also probably a little bored - wandering around by himself isn't all that much fun, even if he does have his strange pet, who he's officially named Excalibur, by his side most of the time. Care to bother (or let yourself be bothered by) him?]

[Floor 4 - Anytime during the week]

[Sora seems to be taking a break right now, actually, kicking back on one of the chairs and sorting through the crumpled bits of paper that were in his pockets. Maybe he's trying to put them in order? Anyway, it doesn't look like he would be too bothered if someone wanted to come talk to him.

...and even if you don't, there's a certain strange dog...cat...adorable thing hanging around Sora, on the hunt for more animal and/or people-shaped friends! If you hang around for long enough, and seem friendly, the little guy will probably run up to you looking for affection. Also, if you have a pet of some sort, he'll probably try to greet them, too. Come meet Excalibur?]

[Floor 43, May 7th]

[Thankfully Sora didn't find himself having to spend too much time on the lower floors, since he remembered most of them well enough to not need to explore them again. Some of them he stopped on again, just to check a couple of things, but some of the floors - like the one with all the screaming - he was more than happy to skip over.

But a lot of the higher floors, especially after the second block, he'd left mostly unexplored after they appeared. That was why now he was having to look a little more closely...and despite the dangers, sometimes his curiosity got the better of him. Sometimes, that didn't end so well. Now was one of those times.

If you happen to pass by floor 43, you may be met with Excalibur trying desperately to get your attention and make you stop on the floor. If you stop, the Meow Wow will lead you to one of the cells, where Sora is hanging out behind a closed door, looking not at all happy about his predicament.

Looks like someone accidentally locked themselves in.]

[Floor 47, May 9th]

[This floor is just weird. As much as Sora looks, he can't find anything but sheets and curtains hanging all over the place. What could they be for?

He also had a funny feeling about this floor, like there were things hiding all over the place. Behind the curtains, more like. It gave him the creeps. Who knows what could jump out from behind them?

Still, he wants to find out more before he leaves, and it doesn't even occur to Sora that it would be safer to just leave the sheets and curtains be. Without even thinking about it he reaches over to pull one of the curtains aside...]

[Floor 50, May 11th]

[So it looks like Sora isn't doing much exploring for the moment. Instead, he's up to something else.]

Fire!

[A burst of flame escapes from his Keyblade, landing harmlessly against the rock. He keeps firing off other spells - Blizzard and Thunder mostly - over and over again as well. Once he finds himself needing to recharge before doing more magic he practices some attacks, swinging his Keyblade towards imaginary opponents.

[Floor 43, May 7th]

Thorin was on Floor 43 just exploring more floors by the day. He wanted a firm grasp of which staircase led to which floor. He preferred using the stairs to the elevator. Electricity was beyond him. Not many paces he had walked when he was met by a strange creature on the floor. It was something like the cheagle he had met a few days back. But, this one was different. No cheagle.

"Greetings." Thorin tilted his head at the creature but it had fled to a nearby room. Following it, he came to a cell door, where the creature seemed to be trying to show him something. Thorin noticed a boy inside. Was he trapped?

"Are you alright in there?"

[derping]

Sora, fully worked into a huff by this point, had set himself to the completely ineffective task of kicking the door of the cell when he finally heard someone coming. He stopped mid-kick, his attention easily caught.

"I got myself stuck," he said. "Can you open the door from out there?"

Excalibur bounced next to the cell, indicating a button that opened and closed the door - the same one Sora had used to get inside in the first place.

"...Please?"

Thorin heard the need in the boy's voice as he looked down to where the button was. The creature who obviously belonged to the boy, knew what to do. "Alright." Thorin pressed the button and waited for something to happen.

"How did you manage to trap yourself in here, boy?"

[derping]

While this wasn't the most glad Sora had ever been to get out of a place, it was pretty high up on the list. As he stepped out of the cell, he made a mental note to himself to never ever get in the sort of trouble that would have him locked up in jail for real.

"I'm...not really sure." he replied, looking a little embarrassed. "I just wanted to see if the cell was really empty or not, and the door shut behind me after I came in. It wouldn't budge after that!" It wasn't really an adventure he would be proud of anytime soon, but at least it was over.

"Not much of a story, huh?"

Floor 50

[alephbet]

[Here's someone Aleph hasn't seen in a while.]

What are you up to?

Floor 50

[derping]

[And, likewise, it's been awhile since Sora's run into Aleph! He stops mid-swing, taking a moment to catch his breath.]

I'm practicing! [Swinging around a giant key, because that's totally how most people fight.] I've been slacking off lately, so I thought I should fix that. What're you doing here?

[alephbet]

I had about the same idea. [Though he favors a sword rather than a giant key.] Want to spar?

[derping]

[Yeah, well, swords are okay too.]

Sure, you're on!

[Sora's not the best at fighting, not compared to other people from his world, but he knew that the only way to get better was practice - and sparing with friends made for pretty great practice!

His Keyblade is already summoned, so he's ready whenever you are.]

[Oh hello Cat... dog... thing. Suzaku frowns, bringing out his gun in case it is some kind of new monster about to lead him to it's pack.

But instead it leads him to...]

Sora?

[derping]

Suzaku!

[When he hears Suzaku Sora perks up, clearly relieved that someone finally came. Meanwhile Excalibur is bouncing up and down, proud of himself for finding someone.]

I...er, kinda got myself stuck. Think you could let me out?

[He's still kinda mad at himself - I mean, really, what did he think would happen, walking into a cell in this place - but he had a good reason! Or, well, he thought it was a good reason. Besides, at least now he could write in his notes with 100% certainty that the cells were empty and boring and really just not worth being curious about at all.]

[swordofzero]

How did you manage that? [He found the release button and pressed it, opening the cell and looking Sora over, to check he wasn't hurt.]

[derping]

[Suzaku will find that he's perfectly okay, and more than happy to finally be out.]

I don't know! I just walked in and the door shut. Weird, huh?

[Well, okay, not that weird compared to the rest of the tower, but still.]

Floor 4

[wegotlucky]

[Neal had spent quite a bit of time in this room as of late. It was relaxing in a strange way, in the same way that his old fashioned apartment had been. He said down heavily near Sora, shooting the kid a smile before he noticed the pudgy looking dog thing near him.]

Cute pet you got there.

[derping]

[Sora doesn't recognize Neal, but he's happy for the company anyway - staring at all of these notes is starting to make him go cross-eyed, and it reminds him of why he's kinda glad that he doesn't have to worry about school right now.]

Oh, thanks! His name is Excalibur.

[Too bad Sora can't tell you what he is, though.

Excalibur, suddenly aware that he's being acknowledged, perks up and tilts his head a little, staring at Neal, though he doesn't move away from Sora yet. Oh boy, new person!]

[wegotlucky]

[He smiles, curious about the papers that Sora is organizing.]

Excalibur, huh?

[He smiles at the dog thing, offering his hand for him to sniff.]

Name's Neal. How long have you been here?

[Probably a rather awkward question, but he never did learn how long the tower had been around.]

[derping]

[Excalibur, meanwhile, is confused by the hand. Why are you holding out a hand and not petting him? Gosh, Neal.

It's okay, though. He'll lick the hand to get the message across. Somehow. It makes sense in Dream Eater logic.]

I'm Sora!

[Luckily for you, the question didn't seem so weird to Sora - he's pretty used to both hearing and asking it himself.]

I've been here for...awhile. Over a year. What about you?

[And four months, give or take.]

Fourth floor

[When Tohko walked on the stairs, she usually looked at each room that she passed, just out of curiosity. She had finished up with her job on the third floor library and was heading down to the library on the nineteenth floor, when something caught her eye. It wasn't the boy sitting in the chair, but the large blue dog near him.

Curious, she wandered into the floor and started walking towards the two.]

[derping]

[At that moment Sora's face is scrunched up in concentration as he's erasing and rewriting something in the notes he's written up. That's why Excalibur notices Tohko before Sora does. The little Meow Wow, not thinking to worry about getting his favorite person's attention, takes a good look at the newcomer, then starts walking - more like bouncing, really, since his legs are so small - over in her direction, jumping a little and wagging his tail when he's close enough to stop.

He looks curious! Who are you, new person?]

[tohko_amano]

[Tohko looked a little bit puzzled at the creature bounced toward her and jumped toward her when she was close enough. It acted just like a normal dog..but it was, obviously, not. Curious, she knelt down to it and held out her hand for it to inspect.]

Hello..who are you?

Floor 43

[keybearer]

[...Well, this is an odd predicament. Isn't that cat... dog thing one of the Dream Eaters? Well, regardless, Riku's Ryu dragon trills before nudging him closer to the big ol' Meow Wow.

And by the time he reaches Sora, Riku brings a palm over his face.]

Man, am I always gonna have to bail you out of trouble?

[It's said with a light tone, free from any genuine irritation. This is Sora, after all.]

[derping]

[Not only was Excalibur happy to find a person, but another Dream Eater, too! FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HIM. He makes a happy squeak that probably means thank you in Dream Eater-ese.

Meanwhile Sora perks up when he hears someone coming, and even more so when it's Riku.

...okay, so Riku will never let him live this down ever, probably, and that kind of sucks. But at least he can get out now!]

Not always! But, erm...definitely this time, yeah.

[keybearer]

[SIGH, Sora. You are helpless. Thankfully, Riku's not the sort to leave his friend hanging, so after a quick eye roll, he'll press his palm to the button.]

You say that now, but why do I get the feeling you'll get caught up in another mess by tomorrow?

floor 50

[eldork]

[ At first, Els was only strolling around, but when he witnessed that... Well, consider his shonen blood getting hotter. Literally.

While Sora's training, he would have someone shooting a Rune toward the same rock, probably causing a small explosion at it. Of course Elsword is not even going to bother asking things B| This is just how this douche does his things! ]

Yo.

[ Who taught this dude how to manner. ]

[derping]

[The rune hits the second Sora's Fire spell was about to hit, making it hard for him to judge how well he did...thankfully, Sora's a little too busy being impressed to mind. For now, anyway.]

What was that? A Fire spell?

[It didn't look like the kind of Fire magic he had been learning from the people in his world, though...]

[ And of he goes, winking his eyes confidently back at Sora. ]

Rune. Never seen one?

[ Not that it's not understandable, though. ]
