Frederick's First Fitness Hour
Characters: Frederick and ERRYBODY
Setting: Various tower floors, but pretty much just the dormitories and a couple First Block floors.
Format: Starting action, but I'll match your preference.
Summary: A knight wakes up in the tower! Exploration and serious good times ensue, or something like that.
Warnings: None as of yet, to be updated!
Room 5-08/Dormitory Floor
[If there's one thing Frederick is adept at, it's keeping his cool. He may be alarmed at waking up in a strange location, clad in strange clothes, with a strange note telling him his world is completely dead, but he does a remarkably good job of hiding it beneath a stern look. A quick glance around the room is enough to tell him that his fellows are in a similar situation, and...]
[... and...]
[Wordlessly, the knight is on his feet, searching for his belongings. That incredibly obvious trunk at the foot of his bed is a good a place as any to start]
**************
[Later, following a possible minor... incident within his dorm room, Frederick is finally in his regular outfit and armor, silver sword at his side. However, it's only now as he stands in the hallway, looking stern as ever, that he truly grasps how different this... place is from home. It's looking to be a long day. But if he has roommates, there must be others, yes? And certainly, someone must be more informed than himself. If he sees you, it won't be long before a polite introduction follows]
Floor Four - Does This One Even Have a Nickname?
[Hmm, some sort of relaxation area? But with plenty of space... Frederick puts a hand to his chin as he surveys the room, gauging it with a glance]
Yes... this is ample space to re-start my Fitness Hour. Even in circumstances such as these, I must keep myself in top form.
Floor Six - Forest
[After a 'hearty' breakfast of oatmeal (still better than bear jerky), Frederick's taken to exploring the first block. Intent on having a good grasp on his surroundings but hesitant to push himself too hard, he finds himself taking his time on the floor that's an inexplicably large forest. This is something a bit more his speed! Granted, the vicious deer that attack on sight with horrible teeth? Those are a little new]
[If you're lucky enough, you just might catch him wiping the blood from his blade, a freshly slain deer at his feet. Deer... he should be able to handle that, right? It's at least not bear]

What Fitness Hour?
no subject
Ah, apologies! I didn't mean to be rude. Back home, I ran a daily fitness regimen for the troops - Frederick's Fanatical Fitness Hour. I had thought this floor might provide with ample space to resume the practice.

Oh, good kill.

It was simply years of practice at work - and careless work, at that. I should not have dropped my guard, even around what seemed like deer. So far it appears as though nothing is quite as it seems in this place.

Just killin some deers
[But all things in good time, for Frederick brightens considerably when he turns to face the familiar voice]
Robin! I had begun to fear I was good as alone here. ... though if you're here, it bodes ill for our chances of escape.
[Ever the serious one. Some things never change]

Dormitory Floor!
Not that it exactly takes her long to notice him once she's rounded the corner, because let's be honest, big guys in heavy armor tend to stand out.
provided your name isn't KellamAnd although she's discovered any run-in with a person can potentially go south, this isn't someone she's seen before. Between that and the obvious influx of newcomers it isn't hard to figure out he's probably new so she decides to chance an introduction.]Excuse me, sir! You look a little lost. [And make no mistake, that's a silver sword sheathed on her belt as well. Not to mention an axe he's likely never seen before slung across her back.]

[Very interesting indeed]
Apologies miss, but I feel I am. I'd ask for directions, but I'm not yet sure where to start.

Um... excuse me.
[ Link is kind of quiet. Because... ]
Are you a Knight?
no subject
[Possible, but unlikely. After all, had his lord been in the tower, the entirety of it would feel far more inspired! No, the lad surely wanted something else]
Why yes, I am. My name is Frederick, and I am a Knight of Ylisse.

[But the collar around her neck says otherwise. No need to draw a blade just yet]
First the Mad King, and now you... I'd say unexpected, but that hardly seems to come close.

..If you wanted some practice fighting, having a spar with one of the residents might help you more than killing deer.
no subject
If I wanted to practice, I wouldn't have picked a deer. That said, I'll defend myself from attack, whether that attack comes from man or beast.

Are you looking for a place to resume training?
no subject
[Well]
[Alright then]
Indeed. As part of my duties, I ran a daily training regimen for our party back home. I also do my own training, but I thought it might be wise to offer the same service to those here who wish it.

Can't you go to a floor where that sort of thing is anything but a disturbance?
no subject
While I wouldn't think devoting an hour a day to keeping yourself in shape is a disturbance, I'd welcome other floor suggestions. I'm sure there are plenty I haven't seen yet.

[Fitness hour. Hah. Then again, Cain couldn't speak as he spent more than a single our a day making sure he was physically fit. Which means his words are actually sincere and not joking.
Then again, he also has a cup of quite nasty smelling tea in his hand. An acquired taste.]
What all do you plan to accomplish in the hour?
no subject
While an hour is hardly enough for a complete training regimen, it's a good way for people to both build camaraderie and their strength. Though I haven't been here long, it seems both will be useful in this place.

Floor 4, joins the troupe of people joining in on Fitness Hour~ ARE WE DOING RADIO EXERCISES TODAY?
"Fitness Hour," huh? Sounds like it could be fun! But you know, there is a gym with weights and stuff on Floor 39, if you're really serious about it.
[It's nice to curl up on one of the couches in a corner and just enjoy the quiet, but finding a way to stay active sounds good, too. :D]
ZUMBA FOR EVERYBODY
While facilities are fantastic for personal training, a broader, more generalized session is better without one. With everyone at their own level, weights would only complicate matters. I do thank you for the suggestion, however! I trust this means I'll be seeing you at the first session?
GO FORTH AND MAKE RICHARD SIMMONS PROUD
QUICK RISE, START SINGING OLDIES!
GEEZ GET WITH THE TIMES, IT'S PARTY OFF THE POUNDS NOW!
SORRY I'M STILL STUCK ON SWEATIN' TO THE OLDIES
APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED, GO BACK TO JURASSIC PARK YOU DINOSAUR
FINE. AND I'LL BE IN 3D TOO SO HAH!
3D MOVIES ARE ANNOYING, THEY GIVE ME HEADACHES :C

Dormitory halls, and I apologize if this sucks since I'm writing this far too late at night.
The moment he's spoken to, though, the man in strange armor stops obligingly. It's the time for newcomers, after all, and the patient, if a little weary, smile on his face is one of someone used to helping others with questions like the ones Frederick is likely to have.*
You're good! Don't stress it <3
[Simple and to the point, that's just how he is]
And then I was slow as molasses.

floor 4 because frederick's fitness hour
[ There's a soft laugh that follows. She's not making fun of him; it's more like she's surprised by how cheerful he sounds about it. Most newcomers would be talking about how they wanted out. ]
There's a gym somewhere, if you're interested. If you want a place that's more roomy, floor twenty-five would be a perfect place for a fitness hour.
no subject
A gym would be ill suited to what I need, but if you can suggest somewhere even better I'd be in your debt, miss.

[Gangrel has a bigger problem to address.]
[A quite literally bigger problem in the form of a Ylissean knight. To see Frederick sitting on a near-by bed... Gangrel doesn't do much more than prop himself up on his elbows and stare for a while.]
Hm. Well. It's official. I've died, and they've sent you to the same place just to torment me.
Or someone's changed my sleeping arrangements without telling me. How rude.
omg yes I've been waiting for this!
[At the very least, Gangrel hasn't launched into an attack yet. It's almost like he's as surprised as Frederick is]
[Surprise hardly makes him trustworthy, though, and his attitude is as infuriating as ever]
If that note is to be believed, we've not died but been 'saved.' However, if that were true, I've no idea why you would be here and not Lord Chrom.
[He pauses for a moment, eager to accuse Gangrel of some trickery... but if the Mad King were truly at fault, the gloating would have started already. And that collar around his neck - Frederick reaches to his, only to find the same thing there]
This feels far more like captivity and torment - but perhaps I should leave that subject to the expert.
probably going to be super slow until school gets out orz
It's all good, life has made me super slow too
this is going to be great, I can already tell
Pure. Magic.
With low resistance
NOOO NOT THE LEVIN SWORD
Everyone's just jealous that it looks so cool
And would shatter if it was ever used for proper swordin'
It's better than a glass sword okay
... well, point taken.
