A gift and a curse
Characters:
reverse_destiny and you
Setting: Floor Eleven, once more
Format: Whichever!
Summary: Sora's been given a Keyblade by Aqua. But now, that light is wearing him down--and he's panicking about what this means.
Warnings: None as of yet
No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Sora's shaking, staring at the cold, metallic weapon in his hand. It's foreign, not at all what he's used to. In fact, instead of the wing-shaped blade that he's used to, he holds in his hand a giant key. And no matter how hard he tries, no matter what he does, it's all he can call. And that just won't do. Ansem would kill him. Keyblades are of the light, and light is bad and wrong and it's everything that's hurt him in the past.
Unable to hold in the emotions anymore, Sora throws the Keyblade, it spinning out over the water before vanishing in a flash. It merely appears in his hand again. Finally, after giving a loud, emotional scream that leaves his throat raw, he falls to his knees, shaking. The key rests on the ground beside him where it had fallen. And not too far away, two creatures watch him.

As if Naminé needed more proof he happened to be completely different, that he wasn't the Sora she knew, the expression on his face should say everything. It's twisted somewhere between rage and disgust, and the tone of his voice reflects this perfectly.

She knew someone who was lost when she saw one.Her eyes drifted down to the Keyblade, her brow knitting a bit more. Disgusting...? She tried to keep it as unoffensive as possible when she said, "Why?"

Only darkness and Heartless and people of the darkness. Then everything would be okay. No one would be abandoned, or left behind, because no one would exist.

...No, no, she should have expected this, or at least something like it. This Sora was so... well, it would have been cruel to say 'backwards', since, really, two different universes could obviously vary widely. It was just that it seemed she would never get used to such marked differences. Once she'd gathered herself again (and finished berating herself for not having more sense), she tried a gentle, "Why not?" that she could only hope would not set him off.
