Summary: Sora's been given a Keyblade by Aqua. But now, that light is wearing him down--and he's panicking about what this means.
Warnings: None as of yet

No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Sora's shaking, staring at the cold, metallic weapon in his hand. It's foreign, not at all what he's used to. In fact, instead of the wing-shaped blade that he's used to, he holds in his hand a giant key. And no matter how hard he tries, no matter what he does, it's all he can call. And that just won't do. Ansem would kill him. Keyblades are of the light, and light is bad and wrong and it's everything that's hurt him in the past.

Unable to hold in the emotions anymore, Sora throws the Keyblade, it spinning out over the water before vanishing in a flash. It merely appears in his hand again. Finally, after giving a loud, emotional scream that leaves his throat raw, he falls to his knees, shaking. The key rests on the ground beside him where it had fallen. And not too far away, two creatures watch him.

He was a bit taken aback by the obvious anger that was suddenly on Sora's face, but he was determined to stay calm. A small frown did creep onto his face though.

"Well, my Master I trusted most, and he wanted to turn me into a weapon...and then my other Master who I had come to trust more wanted to kill me out of paranoia." Yeah there was a frown at remembering and he didn't like bringing it up, but.... this guy seemed pretty messed up.

The blonde attempted a half chuckle and a sad grin to lighten the mood. "I said just a little, didn't I?"

Sora just growls. It's not the same. It never is. Nothing hurts more than to sit alone in a castle, surrounded by strange creatures at the age of five, determined that your parents will save you. But then they don't, and it hurts.

"It's not the same! It's nowhere near the same as being abandoned by the people you thought loved you, left to rot in a castle because they couldn't even give you to someone else who could care for you! Don't try to relate to me, because you can't!"

"I only said a little!" Geez, calm down, guy. Ven was trying to be calm but well hey, he wasn't a paradigm of maturity and composition. So his voice did end up raising a bit.

"I have no idea who my parents were, but I know what it's like to be alone. I'm just trying to help you!" Because he sure didn't seem that OK.

"Consider yourself lucky, then. And I don't need help."

He sneers, standing up and letting the Green Requiem dance around him. He doesn't need healing, but it seems to be trying to cure his distress. Meanwhile, Sora takes a few deep breaths to calm down.

Man, this guy was frustrating! "If you don't need help, then how come you're so upset?" Hmph!

Ven blinked a moment and stopped when he noticed the Green Requiem. "Huh...Heartless...?" It was mostly mumbled to himself as he stared a bit dumbly; it sort of seemed like one, but it was different than the ones he was familiar with... hm..

"Because I don't want this thing!"

Isn't that obvious? But then, Ven's distracted by the Heartless. He looks between the two, then blinks.

"...You know what Heartless are?"

Ven really didn't get why this guy didn't like the Keyblade. Was it because it was one from the Realm of Light or something? He was fairly positive Keyblades could be from Darkness too if Vanitas meant anything.

"Hm?" He snapped his confusion back to Sora at the question and nodded. "Yeah. My old Master made me train against them."

"...My dad controls them. He discovered a lot about them, including a bunch of new ones people didn't know about. Like this guy."

He'll take the Green Requiem into his arms, calming it and keeping it from wasting Cure magic. The Shadow is now creeping up to peer from behind Sora's leg.

"He controls them?" Oh uh wow. Ven's kind of wondering about this guy's dad now, who is starting to sound pretty less than stellar.

There was no hiding the look of surprise on his face, especially when Sora took the Green Requiem into his arms. The Heartless wasn't attacking him or anybody; it was....friendly? "Is...that a nice one or something?"

"It's a Green Requiem. They heal. Don't really have any attacks."

Has Ventus never seen them? They're a common kind of Heartless, too, so this outright confuses Sora. Are Heartless different where Ventus is?

"Heal? Heartless have healing magic?" Well that was certainly baffling, if that look on his face was any indication. He was still watching the Green Requiem, maybe slightly worried that it would start attacking.

"The only Heartless I've seen have only attacked me.." He added, rubbing the back of his neck. And rather violently, at that.

"Well, some of them do. Green Requiems, at least. Most of them are pretty dangerous. Like the Shadow, even though it's small. But they tend to attack in packs."

Have a crash course in the Heartless he brought, Ventus. You're not getting anything else. Though he does seem satisfied that you had to deal with the pain.

Jerk

Yeah he's looking pretty fascinated by the concept of 'Heartless have magick!!!!' Not that he didn't see Unversed that used magic, but for the longest time, Heartless were basically just big, black, blobs of evil.

"You brought a 'Shadow' with you too?" A bit of an eyebrow quirk, but he's trying not to be too harsh. Just wary.
