Flying Spaghetti Monster? Where?

Summary: Rei hangs out with a friend and then believes in tentacle monsters
Warnings: None right now.

1. Beach (closed)

[Rei looks even more cheerful today than she does usually. Two of the hairpins Nesir gave her are intertwined with her hair. She has to say such a style would better suit Asuka, but she likes it regardless. To make things better, she's set to meet the friend who had made these for her--Nesir.]

[Right now, she's skipping down the beach barefoot, waiting for Nesir to arrive.]

2. Floor 31

[Rei runs her fingers along the words carved on the wall. For some reason, she believes this totally. However, no fear shows on her face, just a silly smile with too many teeth. She's curious about this tentacle monster and would actually enjoy seeing it in action.]

3. Dorm floor

[Rei, getting impatient, has started searching around for signs of the tentacle monster, starting with the dorms. She'll be dashing down the hallways and peering into the dorms. She even takes the time to stop and look in each restroom stall.]

"Two hundred feet tall?" Nesir struggled to imagine something that big, "It do be being a pity we do no be having one here."

Killing machines that could kill creatures of god... It was very impressive.

[terreifying]

She pouts.

"I know. I miss Go-kun."

[culbutiri]

"Go-kun is that it's name?" They named their robots? She supposed people here and in her world named their weapons sometimes, so naming a robot was no different than that.

Whatever a robot was except huge, she still hadn't quite understood that.

[terreifying]

"Actually, it's EVA-05, but it likes being called Go-kun. It makes it sound less like a weapon."

And she likes it that way. Go-kun might be a weapon, but that's not all he is.

[culbutiri]

"It can be talking?" She blinked again, a little confused still. She couldn't really imagine anything two hundred feet tall sentient or not.

[terreifying]

"All of our Evas can talk. They're special robots."

[culbutiri]

So like a completely different type of weapon altogether. She was glad they got names. Her hands moved on the sand, shaping a person sort of, sand was more difficult than wood. "So you and Go-Kun do be fighting angels together?"

[terreifying]

"Yep."

She watches Nesir draw in the sand.

"The two of us, and the rest of my friends and their robots."

[culbutiri]

"Did all their robots be having names as well?" She finally got her robot person to not fall down and made a tiny house next to it, to show how huge it was.

[terreifying]

"Yep! Asuka had Zwei and it was a big dog. Shinji had Ichi, and she was his younger sister and my older sister, but because of what happened to her, she's actually younger than us. Mana's Jet Alone didn't have a brain originally, but then Ritsuko gave it one and now it's Jet-kun. Oh, and nobody pilots Auntie Naoko. Not since she tried to kill me."

[culbutiri]

Nesir was getting more and more confused. A big dog? Her sister was a robot? Robots without a brain?

She went for the most obvious, "Your sister do be being a robot?"

[terreifying]

"She was human. But then her soul got sucked into the EVA. So now her body is a giant robot but her mind is still a little girl. Mommy still takes care of her, though."

[culbutiri]

"Her soul did be sucked into a robot?" She blinked, not sure how such a thing could even happen, but she knew nothing of Rei's world, maybe that was really common. "Do she be being a good fighter?"

[terreifying]

"Of course not, silly. She was still a baby in mommy's tummy at the time. But now she's a really good fighter since she's a robot."

More like a giant metal death machine, but details.

[culbutiri]

More confused blinking, luckily for everyone Nesir had learned how children were born in the temple, but she was still confused by the concept, of a child's soul being stolen before they were born.

"How did you even be knowing it did be her then?"

[terreifying]

"She came out and told us. All of us. She has a smaller body now."

She uses her hands to gesture out the size.

"You can hold her in your hand."

[culbutiri]

"That do be being very small. So she do no be being an EVA anymore? How did she be telling you? Can she be talking even though she do be a baby?" She continued sculpting more sand, making tinier lump people to stand among the houses.

[terreifying]

"See, Mommy made her an avatar. It's like a doll, only you can put a robot's brain into it."

She also starts working at the sand. However, no matter how she molds it, a rising lump is all she has to show for her work.

[culbutiri]

"A doll?" She frowned, "I do no be understand what one of those do be being."

[terreifying]

"It's a toy."

She points to the little sand people.

"Like those little figures over there."

[culbutiri]

A toy, right, what little children had. Nesir nodded looking at the sand people. "So she does be being a little figure, but she can be talking?"

[terreifying]

"Yeah, mommy made her a mouth."

[culbutiri]

"Could she no be talking when she did be a robot, like Go-Kun?"

[terreifying]

"She could talk to Shinji just fine because he was her pilot...but it was a little hard for her to talk to other people because of the way her mouth was built."

[culbutiri]

"Did that be meaning Shinji could be understanding her even if she did be talking strangely?" She guessed what that meant, by the way her mouth was built.
