Summary: So the week started well enough. And then these strange messages started appearing around the tower... (If you want to react to the ever-changing 'Lancer and Archer' rumor, feel free to pick any version.)

Floor 25 - Meadow - prior to the rumors appearing

[Ever since he visited the meadow to watch V/V's concert, Gilgamesh found himself returning to the floor whenever he found himself wanting to enjoy something simpler. It was quiet and free of irritants (the "monsters" of the tower), so he could remain there as long as he wished, whiling away his time.

Not that he has anything to do out there. Not really. But sometimes idle fingers fiddle with the longer blade of grass, or pluck flowers out of the grass to twist at the stems.]


All over the tower

[The message on the wall in the first dormitory level is the first that he sees. At the time, it had been nothing more than a small amusement -- something to smirk at with mild puzzlement, as he didn't know either of the people mentioned on the message. But he soon becomes aware of the other messages-- graffiti, as people began editing them-- on the different floors.

So what does he do? He goes on out there to look around and see just how many obvious messages there are. With so many floors, that's bound to take awhile.]


Dormitory Floor 1

[...It's almost ironic that he finds himself back on the first dormitory level, staring at the same patch of wall he had seen at the beginning of the week. The message keeps changing, and every time he walks off to find something else to do, he just seems to come back to find it changed again.

Maybe he should stick around to see who's changing the rumor. That sounds like a good idea.]

[You're in luck, Archer. Lancer happens to take offense at the latest iteration of the rumor, so he's scratching it out and writing a new one.]

Dammit, you'd think putting my name with his should be bad enough...

[He mutters to himself. Where the hell did the idea that he killed happy people or families come from!?]

When I find that asshole, I'll...

[One hand goes to rub at his butt, the unfortunate location of the new rumor that he's carving.]

floor 31

[ As he's going around the tower looking at stuff, he might find Urotsuki staring at one of the rumors on the wall as well. More specifically it's the one that says "A GIANT FLYING WHALE IS TRYING TO MATE WITH THE TOWER" on the thirty-first floor. When she hears footsteps she turns her head though, her expression blank as always as she peers at him. ]

[Archer had wandered off from his 'post' for awhile before returning in his spirit form, and he laughs to himself when he sees that Lancer is scratching out the newest form of graffiti on the wall. He walks over, materializing with his usual golden flair.]

You will what, hound?

[His tone is almost ... pleasant.]

[puppy_lancer]

[Lancer yelps and spins around.]

The fuck, Archer!

[He scowls and rubs at his bum again.]

Kick their ass, of course!

[bowandblade]

[Archer has been going through the different floors rather quickly, and likely would have missed the girl completely if not for the nature of the floor and its ability to cancel out powers. Such floors tended to sour his expression; even before he was a Servant with physical abilities far beyond the strength of mortal men, he had powers in his original life. To go without was strange and rather vexing.

But his lips lift as he sees the familiar blond.]

Hah. Fancy seeing you again, girl!

dormitory floor 1;

[And then there's another Archer there, his arms crossed, regarding the rumor on the wall with an unimpressed face.]

Jeez. They could at least say which Archer.

[bowandblade]

[And the yelp causes Archer to grin. Just a little. He also doesn't miss the extra attention Lancer is giving his ass, so he gives him a nudge there -- with his knee.]

It looks like you will have to protect your ass, too.

[Lancer grimaces.]

Hey, don't do that.

[He rubs there again. It feels like something just sliced up his butt with a knife.]

Wait, are you the one causing this?

[bowandblade]

[Gilgamesh glances over when he sees his fellow Archer arrive, standing with his arms akimbo as he looks at the message again.]

I would suspect the culprit only knows one of us.

[bowandblade]

[He scoffs at the question, almost looking insulted by the insinuation.]

You think that I would want to create a rumor about you and myself? Do not be an idiot! Furthermore, adding writing to a wall is hardly a fitting reason to mar my own flesh.

[ She looks up and looks at him instead when she spots him standing there, giving him a tiny nod to acknowledge his presence here. ]

It's like the tower is a little different now, isn't it..?

Dorm floor 1- latest version of the rumour

Shion was headed down to do some more foraging, he hadn't slept, how could he sleep when he knew Sephiroth would invade his dreams.

When he saw his roommate stood near the rumour that he passed most days, and it often changed, yet he never quite believed he raised an eyebrow. "Did you write that?"

[puppy_lancer]

Marring the flesh...holy shit, you mean writing stuff on this wall actually hurts you?

[Guess who doesn't know what comes along with rumor changes.]

Then...that's why...

[He gets a funny look on his face as he realizes what must have happened.]

[bowandblade]

You-- [He stops to give Lancer an almost incredulous look before laughing aloud.] Have you not seen what happens when you write over these messages? Your expression is telling, hound.

Yes, it is me. Of course it is! [He hums at the question, taking his time climbing the steps to join the girl.]

If you are referring to the messages, they seem to be quite ... popular.

I've never watched anyone writing one. What, you stop and stare at people writing on walls?

[Archer flicks a hand out, as if the answer is obvious.]

It is out of the ordinary, so why not?

[He sidles over to again nudge Lancer's ass with his knee.]

Anything that is written on the wall seems to then be written on the skin.

[bowandblade]

A sound in the negative passed Archer's lips before he shook his head. It was almost troubling how many times the rumor had been rewritten. The changes had apparently never moved away from not mentioned 'Lancer and Archer.'

"It is difficult to tell what was the original graffiti, now that there are so many iterations."

[puppy_lancer]

[He hisses in pain.]

Shit. And are all of them carved in the same place?

[He looks toward the half-completed change. Taking a deep breath, he quickly finishes up the changes.]

[bowandblade]

Apparently not. Unless your clothes are hiding profuse bleeding. [He gives a poke at Lancer's back, right between his shoulder blades.

All the same, he looks over Lancer's shoulder to watch him finish his new message. Archer and Lancer won't kill happy people or families.]

Shion peered at it, trying to read through the scratchings. "I can't make it out either. Do you think it was even about you at the beginning?"

[puppy_lancer]

[He doesn't react at all to this one.]

Dammit. Then why am I the one who gets words on his ass?

[He looks back at his message.]

So? What do you want? "Archer jerks off alone because he scares off all the chicks with bizarre compliments?"

Dormitory floor 1

[Kariya has no intention of changing the rumor, but he's seen it. He's believed two rumors about Archer now: first that he and Lancer are cheating on each other, and secondly, that they kill happy couples and families, which rumor he is currently believing. He's a little confused.

He glares at Archer when he catches sight of him.]

You should leave Lancer alone.

[Since obviously, everything is Archer's fault.]

[bowandblade]

"No, there was another message here earlier. About an Amagi Challenge of some sort." He looked carefully at the wall and the multiple strikeouts, tracing what little of the very first message he could still see. "It was changed to refer to 'Lancer and Archer are cheating on each other' sometime after that."

But which Lancer and Archer? And, with whatever combination, who had done it and why?

"Ridiculous."

[bowandblade]

There is nothing bizarre about my compliments! [He snorts indignantly at Lancer's words, and prepares to say more about the subject--

--but he stops short when he notices the words that Lancer had just written were changing.]

Huh?
