Summary: Terezi's hallucinations are getting worse

[The hallucinations were relatively easy to ignore at first. The scents were the worst, showing up as odd, out of place patches of color in her "vision". But now they're getting worse, almost strong enough to block out everything else, and every once in a while she can feel something that isn't there brush past her. She's approaching Karkat levels of exhaustion, because while she's been sleeping just barely, she hasn't been sleeping well.

It's the middle of the day and she can't handle tossing and turning in her strange human bed while she tries to ignore the melancholy whispering in the corner, so she's set out to wander the hallways aimlessly, looking frazzled and irritated.]

Romeo flew round the corner and promptly fell off the hoverboard, corners and stairs still where difficult to navigate. The board skidded to a stop a little way away and Romeo stood up shakily on hooved feet to make his way over there.

He saw the troll girl and grinned, a grin that probably looked grotesque coming from his mouth which had been stretched outwards like a deers and was mostly exposed bone. "Hello!" She looked about the same age as Kanaya and Kanaya had said she had friends in the tower.

However she didn't look very happy and once Romeo had picked the board up in his mouth he made his way over. He dropped the board and tilted his head, more awkwardly than usual thanks to the antlers. "Are you alright?"

The picture Terezi's keen sense of smell paints is vague and shifting and indistinct, so she doesn't get quite the full effect of Romeo's new body. But she certainly gets enough. For a second she wonders if this is some sort of odd species she hasn't run into yet, but he smells so overwhelmingly human and there's an unpracticed edge to his movements. Is she hallucinating?

The second time the board drops, Terezi starts, inhaling sharply. No, this is definitely not a hallucination. Jegus, she is going to go insane. One of the experiments, then, like Kanaya? She feels a sudden rush of anger when she realizes that must be what happened to him, a much harsher version of what's happening to her. She lets out a frustrated noise and nods.

"I am fine!" She replies, a little too quickly, then hesitates again. "The Tower is messing with me." Though honestly, it seems a little silly to get worked up about considering what it did to him.

Romeo's eyes widened and then he frowned, "The tower is ran by bad bad people!" He said in an angry tone. Because they had hurt his friends and they were still hurting people.

"What did they do? Did they hurt you? Are you scared?" He was worried about her and moved closer in case she needed help.

Terezi shakes her head, looking uncertain for a second as he moves closer. "No. I keep..." She hesitates, then sighs and continues. "I keep hearing and smelling things that aren't there."

NOPE TOTALLY DIDN'T

[since they are roommates, Yellow has been noticing Terezi acting...strange. Sure, she doesn't talk to her much, but she feels worried.

Finding her in the hallway, she tries to approach her, her voice lazed with worry.]

Um...are...you okay?

[Terezi turns towards the familiar voice, a bit relieved it's clearly not a hallucination. She nods.]

I am fine!

[she gives a small sigh of relief, but she had a feeling that something was going on. Maybe this place was dangerous.]

Are you sure? Because I think that something is going on in the tower. Something's strange, I know it.

[She sounds much more tired than usual, but she hugs Feferi back regardless.]

[Terezi forces a smile and shrugs.]

Oh wait no he's not, he's just cowering under his sheets.]

[Who's the best person to visit when you can't stop hallucinating? Your injured, paranoid friend, of course!

Terezi brought food for him and everything, as promised, but she frowns when she sees him cowering like that.]

What are you doing, you big baby?

[He jumps when Terezi's voice comes through, peaking over the covers nervously.]

Uh. Nothing. Something? Nobody's doing anything. Nope.

[She gives him a look, stopping beside his bed and plopping the food down.]

You are hiding under your blanket!

[Looking at the food and then back at Terezi with the same wide eyes.]

It's cold. In here.

[Santana knew that this tower would drive her crazy, but she didn't realize that it would literally make her crazy. Hallucinating was not something she enjoyed. But it was more than just sight, there were sounds, smells, tastes. All she knew that they were out of place.]

[She carefully walked the halls, trying to avoid all hallucinations but it hardly worked. She heard a whisper from somewhere and sharply turned the corner to try to get away from it, running straight into Terezi.]

[Terezi scowls as she steps back. Might as well take out her frustrations on an unsuspecting human, right? She waves a hand in front of her own face, lifting her cane slightly for good measure.]

I can't. I'm blind, stupid. Jegus, humans are such a barbaric species! You should probably apologize.
