[The hallucinations were relatively easy to ignore at first. The scents were the worst, showing up as odd, out of place patches of color in her "vision". But now they're getting worse, almost strong enough to block out everything else, and every once in a while she can feel something that isn't there brush past her. She's approaching Karkat levels of exhaustion, because while she's been sleeping just barely, she hasn't been sleeping well.

It's the middle of the day and she can't handle tossing and turning in her strange human bed while she tries to ignore the melancholy whispering in the corner, so she's set out to wander the hallways aimlessly, looking frazzled and irritated.]

Terezi brought food for him and everything, as promised, but she frowns when she sees him cowering like that.]

Uh. Nothing. Something? Nobody's doing anything. Nope.

[She gives him a look, stopping beside his bed and plopping the food down.]

You are hiding under your blanket!

[Looking at the food and then back at Terezi with the same wide eyes.]

It's cold. In here.

[Ugh, those voices are starting up again.]

[He's looking a little pale.]

[She sits down slowly, trying to be as nonthreatening as possible. It must be getting worse for him, too.]

What's wrong?

I--I don't know. I can't stop.

[The whispering is getting louder, more desperate, but she does her best to grit her teeth and ignore it.]

Being afraid?

[He won't admit that, but he pulls his covers up to his eyes in affirmation.]

[She tugs at the blanket gently.]

What are you afraid of?

[Actually, what he's afraid of is worse than death, but he can't articulate that.]

[She frowns, hugging her knees to her chest.]

[Not that reassurances really help.]

[He pulls the covers down a little to stare at her uncertainly. He didn't really want her to leave -- the company was nice -- but she had to be making him think that.]

[She smiles, leaning her back against the headboard and sliding the food towards him.]

And then something oddly scented flits past her. She just barely keeps herself from jumping, but it takes her a second or so to respond, and she's obviously distracted when she does.]
