Positive Thinking [Open]
Characters: Romeo and you!
Setting: Cafeteria, Breakfast
Format: Whatever you like!
Summary: Romeo and Piccolo eat food
Warnings: None at the moment
Romeo poked at his food before bringing the spoon to his mouth and eating it quietly. He was taking a long time to eat, not because he didn't like the food but because it was obvious no one was going to take it from him if he didn't hurry. He was trying so very hard to keep his spirits up and for a few days it had worked, he had explored everywhere, he had done his job with enthusiasm even though it made him feel dizy and sick. But today it was harder, he missed his friends; his friends who were all dead if the letter he had gotten was true. He saw no reason for those who ran this tower to lie, they had them all trapped anyways.
At least if his friends were all dead then they were with Alfredo, Romeo had searched the tower the last few days and had not seen any of his friends or family, which meant that whoever had 'rescued' him hadn't rescued them as well, which wasn't fair at all.
Piccolo nudged him with his nose, startling Romeo out of his own thoughts. "You're right," he murmered dipping his finger in his oatmeal and letting Piccolo eat some. "I have to keep my spirits up!" He took a breath and punched the air with his fist. He looked around suddenly, sensing someone watching him.

It's the norm for most humans to not believe her on the first go, or at least, that's what she thought. Spain isn't shy with her identity, because it is what makes her who she is.

With a soft sigh, Spain gathered Romeo in her arms, hugging him gently. "We have to pray for them and their safety."

Spain lets go of Romeo when she felt him wriggle, thinking that he might be uncomfortable with her hugging him. Of course, since she only just met the boy, she shouldn't be giving him hugs like this.
Then again, Romeo looked sad, and Spain only wanted to cheer him up. Maybe giving him sweets would help.
"Do you like sweets, Romeo? I have a chupa if you like sweet things."

Really, children these days.

Gently, without making him think that she's taking back the sweet, she unwrapped the chupa and handed it back to him. "There, it should be better tasting now."

"Thank you miss!" He took the chupa back and bit it again, it was really hard, too hard to bite really. He tried again with different teeth, biting down hard until a piece off the edge shattered into his mouth. Slowly he started biting that bit, despite the effort it took to eat it was the sweatest thing he had ever tasted and his eyes widened again.

"You can just call me Spain, Romero," she commented, watching him eat, a motherly look settling over her features. It's like having her colonies back together, and she sighed wistfully. Ah, it would be fun to have children to call her own again...
