Sometimes Vicente wondered where the tower got all its books, given that this prison had no outside contact with the world. As far as he knew, anyway.

The vampire gathered a stack of books for today, some of which he'd already read but deserved a reread, and found a place in the shadows to sit. Given his long lifespan, he'd reread books plenty of times.

Vicente opened up The Odyssey to start himself off. It was a nice and thick book and would keep him occupied.

"Aye. This place is just vast and this is my first visit, so forgive my questions." He studied the man in more detail and released he could not be of Man. He looked much older, yet his voice was that of a young man. "What is that you are reading, if I may ask."

"Blacksmithing goes back far enough that this library still contains books on it," Vicente said. "Looking for more advanced smithing will yield no results, however." The vampire put a long, slim finger on the page in case he needed to close the book. "It is an epic poem, and the story of a man's perilous journey to return home after a war. Mostly hintered by his foolish men." It also contained descriptions of creatures he'd never before heard of, such as the one-eyed giants.
