A return
Characters: AU!Sora and YOU!
Setting: Dormitory floors, cafeteria, library, and spring meadow--backdated to before the event, but after the glamour failure!
Format: Action spam to start, but I can do prose.
Summary: Sora's lost his memory--permanently. So it's back to square one and like waking up in the tower all over again.
Warnings: Darkra has had his memory wiped, so he'll have some issues remembering names at times, PLUS he'll be back to square one!
[Dorms]
[He has no idea where he is. He just woke up here. So now, he's exploring, a foul expression on his face. This is... Not home. This isn't where he should be. Of course his home is destroyed--he made sure it was. But ah, he won't dwell on it for now. right now, he's going to corner the first person he comes across and ask some question.]
[Cafeteria]
[Nutrition bars? Eh. He'll deal. It could be worse. At least it's food. He'll sit back and poke at it a bit, though. Ugh, he kind of wishes he was a Heartless already... Then he wouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing. Bah. Oh, well.]
[Library]
[Sora likes libraries. They're where he spent most of his time. And even if he's not home, he has to keep his studying up, so he's scouting out books. Father wouldn't want him to slack! Gotta keep going! ...Of course, it doesn't stop him from also looking for books for pleasure. He loves to read--it was one of the only things he could do back at Hollow Bastion. If he's here for awhile, he might as well look over the shelves.]
[Spring Meadow]
[Sora is lying in the flowers now, staring up into the simulated sky. How odd, this place. it's so peaceful. He doesn't mind it. In fact, he might use this place to keep up his training. There's no monsters to be seen except the Heartless that follow him everywhere, and that one strange creature he doesn't know. Oh, well, they're bouncing together, so he'll just relax...]

Meadow Floor
When he spots Sora (and takes note of the Darkness in this one's heart, indictating which one it is, a look of relief actually crosses his face.] There you are! I was starting to get worried!
[Read, he already was and no one had seen you for a while.]
no subject
[Sora sits up and stares at him. This man... Smells so very similar to his father. but he's all wrong. Sora's not sure what to think.]
no subject
[Though, come to think of it... did he ever give you his name? ... well, that's been corrected now.]
no subject
[And that's what's confusing. And it's showing on his face.]
Except your hair's too short and your coloring's all wrong.
no subject
He doesn't run on 'scents' as far as Light/Dark detecting in a heart goes, but... there should only be two people that he has a similar scent to.
Given who those two 'people' are, this is a little alarming. Especially with the 'coloring all wrong' and 'hair is too short' added to this mix.
Oh, he just knows he's going to regret this...] That's not something I hear a lot. Who's your dad?
no subject
[Ah, and there it is. That proud and twisted grin. Terra is getting to see what Sora was like when he first arrived, and it's not a very pretty sight.]
no subject
Stay calm, Terra.] Yeah. You could say that I know him better than anyone else.
[And the way he says that seems to indicate that he really wishes he didn't.] I wouldn't smile like that; being raised by that Heartless isn't something to be proud of.
[The presence of that darkness makes sense now, at least.]
no subject
[Of course it makes sense. As does, probably, his scent. That darkness is necessary for a certain plan, not that Sora knows it.]
no subject
His fists clench, and his expression becomes almost unreadable.] Is that what he told you?
[He calls bullshit on that, even though he knows that can't be the whole story.]
no subject
[There is... Nothing left. Really. Not when he went back. The place was filled with dust. So of course he'd believe the only one who was there for him.]
no subject
I've been to your world once before, a long time ago; small, quiet place. I bet the community there is pretty tight-nit. If your parents just moved, or if they'd left you behind, it would've been noticed. You could've asked around, to see if the story he told you matched up with what they remembered.
[He thinks back to the two happy, racing kids on the beach.
Riku... with how close those two had seemed, it's not even a question in his own mind.] You had a friend too, right? Wouldn't his parents have taken you in, if something had happened and you had nowhere else to go?
[Questions. If you want to learn more about anything, you ask questions. He doesn't know if you had done that or not, Sora, but given how Xehanort works...
... there's too many things he can imagine the heartless doing, and none of them good.]
Dorms
So he is heading back to his room after a patrol when he saw Sora.] You're back then. [He nodded at him, knowing his roommate did not take going to his dead world well and prepared to help him if needed.]
no subject
[He wouldn't know. He doesn't remember any of it. To him, he's just arrived--just somehow physically aged an entire year between then.]

no subject
[Which is alarming to him. He prides himself on his memory.]

My name is Suzaku Kururugi, I live in this room too. If you ever require any assistance please let me know, or if you have any questions, I have been here a long time.
Library
However, when she spotted patron, she smiled and walked up to him, not one to ignore one in need.]
Good morning! Need help finding anything?
Re: Library
[He's got his study books selected, but now he's just looking for something to enjoy reading.]

[HE seems perfectly friendly. Not like a complete psychopath at all!]
no subject
You're welcome! I'm always happy to help, especially when it comes to books! It's nice to meet you, Sora. I'm Tohko Amano, the book girl!
no subject
It probably wasn't wise for either of them to go there given Sora's recent memory loss.]
no subject
Hey! Riku! let's finish what we started on the Islands!
no subject
[His eyes fly wide open, and he flips around. He slips into a defensive stance at Sora's words, eyes narrowed and knees bent.]
Look, you've got the wrong idea! I don't even know what you're talking about, Sora.
no subject
[It's said bitterly. Darkness wraps around Sora to form his darksuit, and he'll laugh and look as if he's ready for a fight.]
You seem to be having a lot of those.
no subject
[Darn it, Sora. He's going to assume a defensive stance, but make no sudden moves.]
