Room 1-10

[After reading the letters set by his bed in confusion, Judas sits up to look around the room. It looks like the other beds are occupied, and the trunk at the foot of his bed is clearly meant for him. He opens it, rifling through to find wine, bread and a familiar suit and set of robes. Definitely a good idea to change. It's hot, his robes would be lighter, although they might be a bit conspicuous in public, and he doesn't want to draw attention. In the end the heat wins out and he changes quickly to leave the room. But first, he has to check if he knows these other people, if anyone from his world was saved. Of course, that means standing over the other beds to scrutinise those sleeping in them.]

Cafeteria

[He knows he should eat the oatmeal, before he forgets, but he really doesn't feel like it. So with a book from the library in front of him, he pokes at the mess in the bowl. Wasting it would be wrong, but if he's not hungry, forcing himself to eat it is also a waste. Maybe he should just give it to someone else?]

Cathedral

[After hearing the faint mumbling of some sort of mass while passing by earlier, Judas returns to the cathedral floor, this time with wine and bread. He saw no one and nothing there, so at the least he could go to listen, and hold his own private communion. He kneels at the altar and bows his head in prayer. For the safety of the world he's left.]

Floor Sixty-Three

[Fishing is a thing Judas likes and would be glad to do. Suddenly falling into a vast expanse of water with fish he doesn't even recognise and is very worried may eat him is not. He struggles against the tide, but his waterlogged robes pull him down, and all he can do is call for help, though he's not so sure anyone will hear him, or care.]

Floor Twelve

[Judas stops dead when he reaches this floor. He wants to believe what seems to be happening all around him is a camera trick, or an animation, maybe something from a movie. But as he watches, it keeps happening, with clearly different worlds each time. If it's a trick, it's terribly elaborate, and as the truth begins to dawn on him, all he can do is weep. Not only the demise of his own world, but so many more. All those people, all their efforts, destroyed in an instant, is too much for him to bear. Especially in knowing somehow he was saved.]

Technically, you could, but if you do not wish me to help you now, I will not. However, do you know the shortest way back down the the floor I mentioned?

What I mean is I shouldn't, you've done more than enough for me. But...is there a 'shortest way'? I thought there was only one.

Whether you should or should not do something is up to you. But the stairs are not the only way of moving around here. If you continue to go down, you shall find the eighty-first floor and an elevator. If you take it, you will be able to head down, closer to the forest.

[He nods, offering a small smile.]

I see, thank you, that should help quite a bit.

[chaos, for once, hadn't smiled at all at Judas.]

Again, you need not mention it. We all need help on occasion. And do not worry. If I find myself in need of your assistance, I shall call on you.

Or for anyone you know, I'm afraid I might not be much use, but if I can do anything at all, I will. I suppose what I mean is, I know there can be disasters here, offering help at those times is likely the best way to repay my debt and the best thing I can do even without such a need.

...I'm sorry for rambling.

[..That does manage to pull a slight smile from chaos, even if it did look melancholy.]

It is alright. I understand what you are saying. You owe me no debt, but if anyone I know can be helped by you, I shall direct them to you.

[Judas sighs, nodding in relief.]

You are welcome..and you need not worry. You did not interrupt me. However..it will be hard to tell people who to go to if I do not have a name.

[..He can kind of guess, based off what he's sensing, but he's..trying to avoid the urge to look into Judas's mind right here. Even if he was interested in seeing what this traitor was like.]

...Ah, um, I'm in room 1-10 so you could just tell people to go there...

[They probably wouldn't want his help if they heard his name.]

[Thankfully, chaos wasn't one to pry, so he let that slide.]

Alright. I shall remember then. My name is..chaos, and I currently reside in room 3-06.

[Oh no, if chaos is going to introduce himself, Judas is going to feel like he has to too...! He frets a little, wringing his hands as he debates what to do.]

Thank you. It's nice to meet you.

[And finally, he quickly mumbles.]

I'm Judas.

[Well, at least this person bore the same name. chaos nodded as he heard that. His smile-what little there was of it-had vanished again.]

It is..good to meet you too, Judas.

[Thinking the lack of a reaction means chaos doesn't recognise the name, Judas breathes a sigh of relief. It's so much easier to talk to people when he doesn't have to worry about being looked down on.]

If you do send anyone my way, it would probably be best to just give my room number, though.

[Oh, if Judas only knew the truth. chaos knew that name all too well, and not just the name, but the person from his universe as well, and while chaos understood his reasons and motivation, he still..did not fully like the Judas from his universe.]

Do not worry, I understand. It is not as if my name gives those unfamiliar with me a pleasant feeling either.

[..Not that chaos was his true name, but, considering what chaos was, any name didn't quite fit, since he wasn't exactly born with one.]

...Oh, then you do recognise it.

Well, I'm glad you understand, at least. I don't want to be deceitful, but if it's just to help someone without too much trouble...

I do. However, again, you need not worry. I shall not tell your name if you do not wish me to. However, our names are on our rooms. If you wish to hide who you are, you shall have to take on extra measures.

No, I don't want to hide it, I just don't want to advertise it.

Yes, of course. Why should it be dependent on whether they know or care? It's still me and I still did it.
