return to what you must do
Characters: Sertoria Cani and YOU.
Setting: Room 1-03, Cafeteria, Floor 15, Third Block through Sixth Block.
Format: Action, but I can match.
Summary: Sertoria returns to the tower and decides to return straight to work.
Warnings: Possible feels...?
[ Room 1-03 ]
[ Those in the room can find a blond-haired android laying down in the bed as if she's asleep. Her eyes slide open and she sits up, looking around. Okay, this wasn't Quaeda. She was in the...
Oh, in Joshua's name--
Sertoria allows an irritated growl to come forth from her mouth before running a hand through her hair. She stretches her limbs before standing up and looking around, feeling her head. So, her headset was still there as well as her visor. She places a hand around her neck and feels her restraint while noticing there was one on her wrist as well. So her equipment was there, but she felt awfully light... ]
Check current storage specifications.
Current storage reveals basic specifications for unit. Unit CXEV5001 does not carry any weaponry... Current storage scan is complete.
[ Sertoria leans down to her chest, noting her photo album, operating manual and her trusty gunblade as well as the hilts of her sword and rifle. She presses a button on her arms and one on her leg to store her weaponry before they just disappear.
She takes another glance down at herself before noticing that she was just in her tunic. She takes her dusty, tattered robe and adjusts it slightly.
Oh, wait. She might have roommates. Oops. ]
Ah--hello. Pardon me, I did not mean to disturb you. If you have not seen a robot before, please note that I've come in peace. I do not wish to harm you.
[ And a smile! ]
[ Cafeteria ]
[ Even though Sertoria knows she cannot process it, she knows that the tower could be unforgiving. So, she's sitting down at a table and eating (well, slurping) the oatmeal like a good girl. She cannot taste it, so she's spared the misfortune of ever knowing what it tastes like. ]
...I do not see what is so bad about this.
[ Maybe it's because you're unable to taste it, Sertoria. ]
[ Floor 15 ]
[ Upon entering the workshop, Sertoria strolls through the area. It's clear she's not the lightest of people, since every step she takes is weighted due to the frame she was designed with. She's hoping to see Doc here, but if she can't, then that's fine. She can wait to hopefully see him again. ]
...Um. Doc, are you here? It is me, Sertoria. It's been a while!
[ Please don't let her be wrong here. She was in her hellhole of a world for a while. It would be nice to see a friend after so long. ]
[ Third Block Onwards. ]
[ Sertoria has figured it out that the tower has gotten bigger, and as such, her external and internal maps should get updated. She's sketching down everything she can ahead of time and memorizing it with her infinitesimal data bank. She can be approachable as she's opening the doors to several rooms, but never staying inside long enough - her ocular sensors take care of that much. ]
...How many floors are there...? [ She quietly mutters, tapping a pen against her cheek in thought, quietly humming before returning to work. Looks like the work here is never done! ]

Floor 15
A hand rested on her stomach with her remembering just how selfish she was and what kind of destruction she did. And it was all over wanting to learn how to eat and run on a different source of energy altogether. A slight frown crossed her lips, but beyond that, she looked mostly emotionless.
She snapped out of her thoughts the moment she detected someone entering. Her hand went back down at her side and she stood upright. A relieved smile would cross her features next before she breaks out in to a run, scooping Doc in to a gentle hug. ]
Doc! How have you been?
no subject
He tried to hug back anyway. ... Awkwardly. ]
I've been fine!
[ Well, somewhat. He would go into details later, namely his world-travelling adventures and how they were cut short by the tower destroying his new world, again. ]
But I thought I would never see you again. You disappeared months ago already!
no subject
I am thrilled to hear that!
[ Her excitement dies down and she only smiles thinly before it turns to a frown. ]
Well, I am back here now and it is a welcomed relief. However... I was back home. I believe you can imagine how awful that is.
no subject
Yes yes, this has happened to me once before! I can only hope this shall not happen to you again.
[ Awful memories at that, especially when not only one but two space-time continuum were destroyed because of you. And this was pretty awful just thinking to it.
He smiled to her before putting his papers on the desk. ]
Many things have changed around here I'm afraid! Have you been informed yet?
no subject
Let us try to prevent that from happening, Doc.
[ She moves over to sit down on a stool with a part of her legs and arms squeaking slightly. Looks like she's due for a touch up or two. ]
I have. I... You were right, Doc. I am human after all. I was incorrect to assume otherwise.
no subject
So you know about the souls! I was surprised myself. As a scientist, the belief of an immaterial existence of our psyche and being beyond the physical existence was absolutely unthinkable before I witnessed it with my own eyes!
A true breakthrough in science! Only a shame their technology relating to it is so misused.
[ He paused when she mentioned she should never have doubted it, and shook his head. ]
You would be human even without the existence of such a soul! Humanity is defined by more parameters than the mere existence of a soul, never forget this! You are certainly more human than some beings made of flesh and blood that I have met!
no subject
Affirmative. I believe I, too, should say that as a creation of science myself, the knowledge of actually having a soul goes against what we normally think of. Although, I would agree with you that the technology is being mistreated. I cannot imagine how it may feel right now.
[ Well, Doc. Isn't this familiar? Sertoria stops with a fairly large load in her hands and stares at him for a few moments. She blinks slowly for a few moments before smiling warmly at the man in front of her. ]
How is it that you are able to do that, Doc? Make me stop and reconsider what I said before I see my ideas and thoughts in a new light? You are truly a remarkable man.
no subject
If only we could find a way to acquire this technology and use it as it should be...! None of the misery would be happening.
[ Not that it'll ever happen (or it may in regard to future events). He smiles back at her though and shakes his head. ]
It is not my doing, it is only yours! My words just help you realize things you know on your own!
no subject
Have there not been any means to try to acquire it for our own use? It is risky, but if we continue to give the administrators a hold on us, they will continue their behavior.
[ Then, all she can do is laugh happily before shaking her head. ]
Then, they are rather powerful words! If I may be so bold, I would say that you have quite the talent for that.
