return to what you must do
Characters: Sertoria Cani and YOU.
Setting: Room 1-03, Cafeteria, Floor 15, Third Block through Sixth Block.
Format: Action, but I can match.
Summary: Sertoria returns to the tower and decides to return straight to work.
Warnings: Possible feels...?
[ Room 1-03 ]
[ Those in the room can find a blond-haired android laying down in the bed as if she's asleep. Her eyes slide open and she sits up, looking around. Okay, this wasn't Quaeda. She was in the...
Oh, in Joshua's name--
Sertoria allows an irritated growl to come forth from her mouth before running a hand through her hair. She stretches her limbs before standing up and looking around, feeling her head. So, her headset was still there as well as her visor. She places a hand around her neck and feels her restraint while noticing there was one on her wrist as well. So her equipment was there, but she felt awfully light... ]
Check current storage specifications.
Current storage reveals basic specifications for unit. Unit CXEV5001 does not carry any weaponry... Current storage scan is complete.
[ Sertoria leans down to her chest, noting her photo album, operating manual and her trusty gunblade as well as the hilts of her sword and rifle. She presses a button on her arms and one on her leg to store her weaponry before they just disappear.
She takes another glance down at herself before noticing that she was just in her tunic. She takes her dusty, tattered robe and adjusts it slightly.
Oh, wait. She might have roommates. Oops. ]
Ah--hello. Pardon me, I did not mean to disturb you. If you have not seen a robot before, please note that I've come in peace. I do not wish to harm you.
[ And a smile! ]
[ Cafeteria ]
[ Even though Sertoria knows she cannot process it, she knows that the tower could be unforgiving. So, she's sitting down at a table and eating (well, slurping) the oatmeal like a good girl. She cannot taste it, so she's spared the misfortune of ever knowing what it tastes like. ]
...I do not see what is so bad about this.
[ Maybe it's because you're unable to taste it, Sertoria. ]
[ Floor 15 ]
[ Upon entering the workshop, Sertoria strolls through the area. It's clear she's not the lightest of people, since every step she takes is weighted due to the frame she was designed with. She's hoping to see Doc here, but if she can't, then that's fine. She can wait to hopefully see him again. ]
...Um. Doc, are you here? It is me, Sertoria. It's been a while!
[ Please don't let her be wrong here. She was in her hellhole of a world for a while. It would be nice to see a friend after so long. ]
[ Third Block Onwards. ]
[ Sertoria has figured it out that the tower has gotten bigger, and as such, her external and internal maps should get updated. She's sketching down everything she can ahead of time and memorizing it with her infinitesimal data bank. She can be approachable as she's opening the doors to several rooms, but never staying inside long enough - her ocular sensors take care of that much. ]
...How many floors are there...? [ She quietly mutters, tapping a pen against her cheek in thought, quietly humming before returning to work. Looks like the work here is never done! ]

Third block and beyond.
It is..but that is alright. I find no fault in being sad in front of others.
[At the nod, chaos would nod back and motion for Sertoria to follow him before walking through the hallway and down the stairs. If Sertoria wanted, she could reach and grab for his hand, to make it easier to keep up.]
Third block and beyond.
You must understand, I have not developed sad emotions that much beyond the very basics. I also do not like to show my weakness in front of others since I have a feeling people would try to use it against me.
[ She grabs at his hand along the way, hoping he doesn't mind the coldness of her metal or silicone here. ]
Third block and beyond.
That is alright. It means that these emotions can develop a bit more so that you can understand them in the future, I think. However..I do not think that most people you encounter here will try and use your emotions against you.
[chaos didn't mind that at all, since feeling heat and cold could be optionally to him if he wanted to. So, he just took her hand and smiled as they kept walking down and through the hallways. It would take a little while to reach the seventh floor, even if it wasn't too far away.]
Third block and beyond.
I do trust the denizens of the tower, but I know better that there are a few who like to cause discord amongst us.
[ She manages to keep up with him well enough as they were walking through the hallways. Even here, she was on high alert for any monsters that would show. She didn't trust the tower itself to be so kind to them for their little activity. ]
Third block and beyond.
There are always people like that, wherever you go. However..that should not stop you from trying to develop them. I have found that, most of the time, people will not try to use your emotions..and if they do and succeed, it is not the fault of the person they have hurt.
[chaos had been in the Tower long enough that he knew monsters usually only came out during the night, but even though he looked pretty calm, he was ready if anything should show up.
..Eventually, they would reach the seventh floor, with a large pool and a few locker rooms containing swimsuits to greet them.]
Here we are. Shall you need to get changed?
Third block and beyond.
Well, if I have lived for as long as I have, I should be able to develop them as quickly as I can.
[ Sertoria knew more than anything to stay alert, even when doing mundane things since the tower could do anything at any time to him.
When they were at the seventh floor, she took one final glance behind her shoulder before entering. She picked up a swimsuit, giving chaos a nod.
However, she's not too familiar with the human concept of changing in private. So, off goes her robe and her tunic - revealing a peach casing underneath her clothes. She studies the swimsuit for a few seconds, as if trying to figure out how to put it on.
Eventually, she slips it on and adjusts her hair. ]
...This is how this goes on, right?
Third block and beyond.
Unlike Sertoria, chaos was very familiar with the concept of changing in private, due to modesty and other factors, and while he did not really care about seeing her peach casing, he did nod as she put on the swimsuit and adjusted her hair.]
That it is. However, it might be best to use the changing rooms here next time if people are around. You and I do not mind, but there are others who would be embarrassed or would tease you for undressing yourself in the open.
[As chaos spoke, he pulled off his shoes and gloves, and went into one of the changing rooms for a moment before coming back, naked except for a pair of swimming trunks.]
Third block and beyond.
Upon hearing chaos' words, Sertoria shamefully covered her chest up like she had seen it with females who were found exposed. ]
I - ah, sorry. I will try to keep that in mind for the next time we do this.
[ She may be old, but she can still learn. She waits for chaos while leaning on one of the walls. She straightens up again when he comes out, offering him a smile. ]
Third block and beyond.
It is alright. You did not know, and I do not mind.
[He wouldn't have minded undressing in front of her either, but she..probably would not have been comfortable with that, and he wanted to set a good example.]
Should I jump in first, to help you float?
Third block and beyond.
Very well.
[ She plays idly with her restraints, wondering if they were waterproof. Quickly, she checks her maintenance manual and sees that, indeed, they are. ]
If you would not mind. I would sink if I jumped in first.
Third block and beyond.
[And with that, chaos would jump into the pool, making a large splash as he did so, and sending water everywhere. For a moment he would vanish beneath the surface, but he would quickly come up and smile at Sertoria.]
It's your turn now.
Third block and beyond.
She trusted others well enough, but the very nature of the tower made her wary. When the water was splashing everywhere, the android brought her arms up to deflect it. ]
...Very well.
[ With a deep "breath", she clenches her hand in to a fist and backs up in to the wall before making a leisurely dash. She kicks off of the ground, hovering for a few seconds until gravity kicks in and she lands with a mighty splash in the water.
She's trusting chaos to do as he promised. ]
Third block and beyond.
chaos watched as she prepared herself and made sure to get out of the way as she jumped off the ground so that he wouldn't get hit. Just because he was very strong did not mean that he liked unnecessary injury. However, when she landed in the water, he swam over to her and..tried to hold her by the wait to keep her from sinking.]
There you are. How is the water?
Third block and beyond.
She does appreciate his effort to keep her from sinking and smiled at chaos, shaking her hair free of water itself. ]
It is...refreshing. I am unable to feel it, but it is nice to be in.
Third block and beyond.
chaos returned the smile as Sertoria shook her hair free. This reminded him a little bit of the past..when he and Mary would take dips in the sea or any rivers they came across. She was a fine swimmer, but they sometimes held each other..
For a moment, chaos looked a little melancholy, but the moment and look passed quickly.]
I am sorry to hear that you cannot feel it, but it is good that you enjoy being in it. Do you wish to take a deeper dive?
Third block and beyond.
Is something wrong, chaos? You looked sad for a moment there. And, please be honest.
[ She will, however, nod at his question. ]
Third block and beyond.
It is alright. I am alright now.
[And, without any room for argument, chaos dove down, using his feet to propel him downwards in the tunnels, holding onto Sertoria all the while.]
Third block and beyond.
But--!
[ That was, until, he dragged her down and caused her to follow after him. After all, he was helping her out with learning how to swim. ]
Third block and beyond.
So, smiling, he just kept on swimming down and through the tunnels. It would have been a bit more interesting if they were in the beach and saw a few animals, but this was nice too.]
Third block and beyond.
She knew he was magical, sure, but to what extent? She didn't get a straight answer out of him and thought that it'd be futile to try yet again to ask. But, it's the nagging suspicion on top of being worried over him that stops her. ]
Will you be able to handle the pressure if we are to go down any lower?
Third block and beyond.
While he was capable of answering that question by speaking, chaos..didn't really want to reveal more than he had to about his powers, so he simply nodded as he kicked along, enjoying how the water felt and hoping that Sertoria was enjoying the dip.]
Third block and beyond.
...Why did she focus so much on that particular memory? A quick refocus and Sertoria was returned to the present. Her legs were beginning to kick, like she had seen from others swimming. She couldn't feel the water, but she was enjoying the swim nonetheless. ]
Third block and beyond.
However, when she started to kick, chaos smiled and let go of her..only to hold her hand a few minutes later. It was best to try swimming through actually doing it, even though he didn't mind playing the role of a livesaver.]
Third block and beyond.
She grips chaos' hand as she's kicking, using her other arm to push the water around like she's swimming already. ]
How am I doing?
Third block and beyond.
However, as she kept swimming, chaos would let go of her hand and follow her, swimming on his own and seeing how she might do.]
Third block and beyond.
