Summary: Yukiko requested a meeting.
Warnings: Persona 4 Arena spoilers, talk about past Tower events, probably some language - not from Yukiko, but from other people.



Before the Meeting:

To say Yukiko was nervous was an understatement. She picked a few notes at the piano she'd chosen to call the meeting together on - she could play a loud middle C, but that was it - now and then, but she was still pacing a little and definitely nervous. Anyone wanting to approach her to calm her down would be most appreciated.

Zelda has remained quiet for the most part thus far. Like Xion, she doesn't know much about these "shadows" or the power of Persona or even the strange being that appeared in the Tower last February, and... this kind of topic feels somewhat uncomfortable, given she was among those trying to rally the people of the Tower together last year.

But she has a better idea of what's going on now, and she supposes it's as good a time as any to share it. Even so, her voice is kept lowered - out of instinct, perhaps.

"When the glamour went down, an associate of mine found some of the research Dax left behind. As of this moment, I do not know what it says, as it is in code and we have not dared to look at it while she might be awake and watching, but I feel at the very least it will give us a place to start in that regard."

It is just a matter of time until they can open the thing. After working so hard to get it, she will not risk it being lost to her now.

"Soon, though..."

Yukiko nodded - she sensed that the two of them would be of the same Social Link arcana, if she understood it correctly, which she couldn't really claim to - that was always Yu's thing, never hers.

"It's the 8th. When were you planning on decoding it? It would help narrow things down, I'm sure of it..."

"We have to find a way to stop them."

Oh look, he was being a bit more well behaved and cooperative now.

"I'm not gonna be optimistic and say 'get out.' But do you have any idea what it might say? It'll probably give us a hint, unless it turns out to be from Jason or Riki."

She quiets for a moment, going over the various notes and slivers of information he left behind in her head.

"... I believe it will be about the Tower itself. The systems in place, perhaps, or maybe something about its history. I cannot say with any kind of certainty, however. ... Given what Jason did after his death, I can understand a desire to be vague."

Freaking brainwashing.

Heightened intuition and keen on waiting until the most opportune moment? Yeah, she's probably pinging the Priestess pretty hard for those able to sense that kind of thing.

"In a few days time, at the most," she answers. "To give her time to go back to sleep, and in turn lessen her watch over the Tower. But it shall not be long now, and I am certain the information contained within will be spread among the populace."

Even if his first letter left some key points about his plan out, Dax did make it clear that he ultimately wanted his research to be well known.

"That's for the best," Yukiko nodded. "I'll be looking out for it and that information."

She sighed again, after a moment. "I just wish the musical instruments in here would play on their own like they normally do. Every other time I've wandered in here, something's come on. I thought it'd be a better place for a meeting because of the music cover, but it's like they knew this time."

As if apologizing, a long cello note sounded.

There's hesitation before Zelda responds, as though unsure if she should say what's on her mind or not. She eventually gives in, however.

"... I could play something, if you would like. I believe I have said all that I have that is relevant to the purpose of this meeting, so..."

A glance is spared to the set of harps sitting just outside of the meeting area proper. Goddesses, it's been so long since she last played here...

John has been completely silent for the entire meeting so far, as he doesn't have a full understanding of everything that's being said (mostly the persona-related stuff. It's interesting, but he doesn't really understand it all), nor does he really have any useful information to add. He's sitting not to far away from Zelda, preferring to be close to people he knows and who are in somewhat of the same boat as him as far as the "awkward turtle help I don't think I belong here" club.

But when the mention of music comes up, he finally speaks. This is something he can do.

"I could too if Zelda doesn't mind. I don't know that I have anything to add myself at all, really, but I do play the piano! So... uh. Yeah, that's a thing. I could potentially help with."

"That would be really great. I sing karaoke every now and then, but I'm no idol or anything. If you could, both of you..."

Yukiko bows from her waist, first to Zelda, then to John.

"I'd really appreciate it. So would the rest of us."
