Summary: Yukiko requested a meeting.
Warnings: Persona 4 Arena spoilers, talk about past Tower events, probably some language - not from Yukiko, but from other people.



Before the Meeting:

To say Yukiko was nervous was an understatement. She picked a few notes at the piano she'd chosen to call the meeting together on - she could play a loud middle C, but that was it - now and then, but she was still pacing a little and definitely nervous. Anyone wanting to approach her to calm her down would be most appreciated.

He'd gotten used to it by now, though that never prepared him from having an obstruction of red hair in his face. Jin leaned his head away to make sure her hair didn't catch on his glasses, but it was a pretty good expression of his exasperation too.

"Worse, if you ask me; they're just a bunch of high and mighty little shits that think they're important just because they have some stupid power."

The part he left out was the part where he knew much better people here that didn't have that power.

"If having powers meant people were important, then some of the people in the tower wouldn't rank very high, would they?"

Which she thinks is total bull so hey. They agree on that.

"They really do need to get over themselves though. As if having Personas makes them so amazing. God, their self-esteem must have been terrible before they got their precious powers."

"Would you be surprised?" He scoffed, which sort of sounded like it was partly in amusement. Not that they'd had the best self-esteem once upon a time, but they weren't even more than 7 when it happened.

"I don't care about their precious self image, I just don't wanna be lumped in with something I'm not. I guess helping this Philemon guy comes with a crappy attitude."

"Not particularly. They seem like those kinds of people."

The kind, she thinks, that haven't had more than mundane problems to worry about their whole lives. The kind of problems only kids with homes and families would think are world-ending.

"If nothing else, some of them might make good canon fodder," she mumbles with a huff, and pushes her hair behind her ear on one side to get it out of his face. "If anyone with a persona will actually get something done, it probably won't be anyone who can't make a sacrifice if necessary. Though really, I didn't see why any of that 'Philemon' stuff was necessary. He's not here, so he doesn't matter."

The lack of hair in his face was definitely better; he moved his neck back and forth a bit to stretch the muscles as he continued speaking. "Nyarlathotep and Philemon never mattered. They didn't matter to you or me, and they didn't matter to the others who don't have Personas. Maybe there's something to be said for understanding the past or whatever, but this isn't their world. It doesn't matter."

This wasn't the world of Persona-users after all. This was undoubtedly Ruana's world, and she didn't care for either of the forces if he had to guess.
