(Room 1-07)

[Hello new roommates; you're in for a lot of swearing. First as Amelia wakes up from her sleep paralysis, even more when she reads the intro letters. And then when she discovers what absolutely (not) vital items are in her trunk. Nice to meet you too.]


(Dormitory Floor 1)

[There's a young woman wandering the hallways, looking more than a little lost in an oversized Christmas sweater that is still not quite long enough to get away with being a dress. She's trying to make the leggings-as-pants look work for her with the jumpsuit.

Also, she has wings. Large brown feathery ones. If you know your raptor taxonomy, they most closely resemble those of a bald eagle.]

(Floor 1 - Cafeteria)

[Okay, so she might have woken up in some weirdo tower with crazy people, but when she eventually makes her way to the cafeteria floor, Amelia is finally in her element. Chocolate pancakes, chocolate milk, all sorts of muffins? Yes please.

Forget oatmeal, that's boring.]

Oh, you must really like the skies then!

[She pauses, thinking back on past experiences.]

I miss being in high places, but I don't have wings, so I can't fly up high.

[ladyliberty]

I just hate being cooped up, y'know? It makes me itch.

[terreifying]

I can get that. It gets boring always being in one place, right? So it's a good thing that this place has more than 100 floors. I haven't even been on all of them yet.

[ladyliberty]

I don't even know if I could climb up a hundred floors. That's a lot of stairs.

[terreifying]

...You can fly up.

[ladyliberty]

I can't fly up the stairs. They're too small.

[terreifying]

Well, there's the elevator. But it only goes to a few floors and it's even smaller.

[ladyliberty]

Well, is it possible to go up from the outside?

[terreifying]

[She shakes her head.]

You can't go outside. There's no door.

[ladyliberty]

Then I guess it looks like I'll be taking the elevator.

[terreifying]

Just remember to go to the cafeteria and eat the oatmeal first. Otherwise, you can't eat anything you find on any of the floors.

[ladyliberty]

I usually try not to eat things I find on the floor.

[terreifying]

[She nods.]

Okay, that's good. That's pretty smart.
