Summary: Aleph is in search of something in particular: a Bible. He has no success and eventually retires to the meadow.

[Floor 3]
[The first place to look would of course be the library.

But, it seems that religion and history are intertwined, and the histories of the worlds aren't covered in this library. No matter how hard he searches, Aleph can't find a single religious tract or book of divine scripture.

He's basically going to check every section of the whole library before he gives up, though. It'll take him awhile and make him obviously noticeable.]

[Floor 13]
[Churches generally have religious books in them, don't they? To read from and all.

This one doesn't seem to. It's not a clearly Mesian or Christian church, and he doesn't know well enough to determine if it's anything else, but he thinks its pastors must be hard on their luck if they have to recite everything from memory.

Aleph will turn this floor inside out trying to search, including looking under pews.]

[Floor 19]
[Now, he's pretty sure that this research library doesn't have anything either, but just in case...

He'll go over this entire library section looking, though with less enthusiasm than the other floor's library.]

[Floor 25: afternoon]
[Well that was a waste. Still, it was something to do. And...

Aleph knew vaguely that other worlds had kinder Gods than his had. Different Gods. But he failed completely to understand why they got so upset about the prospect of a different god than theirs being killed. He only sort of knew why Lucifer got such a bad reputation, in the barest possible sense.

He'd been reading books for a year to improve his ability to read, and to not be bereft of all knowledge but how to fight. It seemed time to get around to some of these, if he could find any of them.

Failing that, picking daisies and making them into a flower chain was never a bad use of time.]

Yep, we can! And the flowers I'm gonna be using are considered lucky too! [So she quickly goes to gather some of the flowers before taking a seat on the grass.]

Did you want to make some?

[alephbet]

You seem really excited about it. I'll watch you.

[technologic]

All right! Okay, so let's start... [She soon starts working on making the charms, her hands working quickly as she weaves the flowers and clovers together. She finishes after some minutes and grins in triumph as she adds the finals touches to the last charm.]

Annnd done! And they look pretty good, too!

They look really good! Do you have them assigned to each demon?

Yep! I gave each demon a unique flower, along with the lucky flowers and clovers.

[And each charm does have one different flower on it compared to the others.]

You're pretty dedicated.

Well, I wanted them to have unique charms. [She hands the charms to Aleph and stands up.]

Anyway, should I go and you give the charms to them?

[alephbet]

If you want.

[Button pressing on the terminal. The demons appear and look mildly puzzled at being around on the daytime with no enemies.]

Sorry guys, my fault. [She points to the charms in Aleph's hands, taking a few steps back.]

Oh, um. [Motions to one with a pink rose like flower.] That's for Lilim

[The other pink flower.] Rangda.

[A white flower.] Shiva.

[A yellowy flower.] Anubis.

[A kind of jagged pink flower.] Beelzebub.

[Annnnnd a pinky white flower.] And Mara!

[Aleph starts hanging charms on the appropriate demon. Lilim speaks first:] Thank you, honey~

[April blushes faintly and scratches her cheek.] U-um, it's nothing. A-Aleph and I were talking about good luck charms, s-so I thought I would make some for you guys.

[alephbet]

You're kind to think of us.

[technologic]

Huh? H-how could I not? I-I mean, you're important allies to Aleph and all, s-so it would be silly not to think of you all.

[alephbet]

[Lilim giggles and floats over to give April a hug.]

[technologic]

[Squeak and she turns more red, but April hugs her back.] A-ah... S-so, what do you think of them?

[alephbet]

They're pretty! I think that one flower charm is prettier than all of Beelzebub.

[technologic]

O-oh, I'm, um, glad you like them. I hope they give you a-all good luck when you fight.

[alephbet]

Thank you. We will wear them proudly!

[technologic]

[Very bright red now.] A-ah, I-I'm glad you all like them!

Oh, and, h-here... [Aleph is handed a charm with purple flowers.] I-I said I would make a flower one for y-you too.

[alephbet]

Oh, thank you. [He puts it on his head.] Do you know which flower this is?

[technologic]

[She shyly twirls with her hair, giving him a nod.] I-it's an aster. I-I made sure it was an aster, anyway.

[alephbet]

What does that mean?

It, um... I-i-it means love.
