it's not a cry you hear at night (backdated to the 21st)
Characters: Hallelujah (possibly Allelujah) and anyone.
Setting: Floor 39 (gymnasium) (day), Floor 75 (tower) (night)
Format: Either.
Summary: Hallelujah has grown frustrated with Allelujah's silence, and has taken to trying to beat out his frustration on anything and everything.
Warnings: Talk of Richtofen which itself is a warning, mentions of vivisection, character death, gore. Also heavy swearing and violence warnings as per usual with Hallelujah.
[Floor 39]
[Every goddamn day he comes here, and every goddamn day he trains. All the details are fuzzy, but he's still determined to get even stronger than he already is in order to kick that guy's ass. He can't explain how that horrible experience made him feel - upset, angry, afraid. The last one is an emotion he's never supposed to feel. So how does this even work? He's not a person. He's just part of one.]
[He punches the punching bag again and again, the fabric starting to split. He has some fabric wrapped around his knuckles but they're also starting to grow red.]
[Floor 75]
[A Chocobo zooms out of the darkness, making a line for Hallelujah. He doesn't care. The birdlike creature is met with a roar, Hallelujah reaching out to grab the thing by the neck and twist, breaking it. He kicks the body, over and over.]
Dammit, just answer me! Stop fucking hiding!
[A Bullfairy flies at him, interested, but he grabs it from the air and squeezes, crushing it.]
Say something!
[He carries on like this for a while, not caring if anyone comes up the stairs and hears him. He's already thought of as crazy, so who the hell cares?]

It's cool. o/
Stop doing shit like that, you bastard!
[He looks down at Enoch, snickering a little.]
Having fun down there?

If you consider being unable to go where you're trying to go "fun". *He is getting tired of this shit, he can't get back to Doc and Waver and the others; this is the second time he's been caught and just thrown somewhere.*

[He kicks the bag again, not caring that the fabric is starting to rip.]

You'll destroy your practice target.
*He doesn't know what a punching bag is, so he just goes for the obvious.*

[He grins and turns to face Enoch again.]
Unless you'd like to volunteer.

*Built like a warrior, carries himself like someone who's seen battle...doesn't quite act the part.*

Hah. Scared. Whatever, whatever. That's fine with me.

*Enoch stands up finally, and brushes dust off his jeans.*

*More like venting, but...*

*Not by himself, of course, Enoch would gladly fight alongside him. He wouldn't ask someone to fight nighttime monsters alone.*

[Some of the weirder ones, sure - but they also hurt his pride since they're difficult to defeat, so.]

...Perhaps we can spar sometime when it isn't so chaotic.
*Of course, the next time it isn't chaotic he'll be busy BSODing, oops.*

*Enoch wonders if it's like a Persona, he's heard that term before. But...do Personas mope?*

[He shrugs.]

It's not that such a thing didn't happen in his time. It was just generally considered a possession instead. ...Which was also a legitimate happening in his world. Talk about confusing.*

Goddammit. Fine.
Basically when someone goes through enough trauma, sometimes they split off part of their mind to deal with it. Sometimes it's someone who represents their weaknesses - and sometimes it's a kind of 'protector'. Me? I'm everything he can't do or refuses to do. I'm the reflexes and the killing instinct.

*How...how many "possessions"...?
...He can deal with that later.*
So he - the...original? He's not coming back out?

*Even though he still lacks significant understanding of what's going on here.*

*He's grasping at straws, of course. He doesn't know what to do here at all...*
