3rd Duel - Gang Battle Distraction
Characters: The Five Bad Band (Kiryu, Ira, Queen Zeal, Hallelujah and Asako) and whoever would like to join/stop them
Setting: all over the tower, details in the threads
Format: All is go!
Summary: Ganondorf ordered a distraction, a distraction he's getting and it's not like anyone cares about collateral damage... at least on the villain's side of things~ <3
Warnings: swearing, trolling, violence, character death, fire and explosions everywhere and if there's anything else, I'll add
[Anyone nearing the 19th floor will probably be quick to notice the dark smoke rising, and the smell and sounds of something burning. Similarly others may or may not find other floors suddenly catching fire and the flames are spreading.
Are you ready to face the vengeful inferno~?]

He then draws a few cards off his deck, slotting some of them and summoning another monster to his side.]
So... let's satisfy ourselves. Infernity Beast, if you will...?
[The hell hound howls at that, cheeks inflating just before it releases a roar of flames that ignites the books in one of the shelves, the fire quickly spreading as both monsters continue their assault and Kiryu just keeps laughing.]

He was a little nervous about the task ahead, and trying not to think about it. In case his thoughts became clear and he gave them all away before it even began.
He stacked the books carefully, finding their rightful places when he heard a roar, he span just in time to see fire, burst past the opening of the aisle.
He put the books down, took the EMR out of his belt, and began to back away, glancing behind him, ready for whatever monster had found their way into the library.

It's not enough yet. We'll make it it all burn down!

Make me, if you dare.
[Just then he is drawing another card and placing it on the disk, a second Infernity Beast appearing.]

Going for a Direct attack? But that's not how this game is played. I won't have you breaking my rules! Infernity Beast!
[With that his monster moves forward, hissing as its mouth opens wide and it moves to attempt to bite right into Shion's thigh.]

It's not over yet. Infernity Beast, Infernity Demon!
[The moment he calls their names, the other two monsters turn away from the shelves and quickly advance towards Shion, the beast aiming for his already injured leg while the demon stretches out its arms, sharp nails intent to dig right into the flesh of Shion's face.]
no subject
He wasn't quite fast enough though, and he stumbled as his injured leg was hurt again.

As far as he is concerned, this will be over very soon.]

He flips the knife in his grip, looking almost playful as he keeps advancing.]
Let this be a lesson... never step into the realm of a Duelist with such a half hearted attitude.
[Because all that awaits is defeat. And in this case...]

Probably after the thread with Shion is over
Driven more by curiosity than anything else, he went up the stairs. Objectively speaking, he had little chance of survival against that kind of monsters and power when armed with only an assault riffle, equipped of a grenade launcher option. Why hadn't he taken his rocket launcher with him this morning... Yet again, the entirety of his life had been defined by defying the odds against supernatural beings or gigantic machines, so this was nothing new.
He would probably still die anyway.Given what destruction the monsters unleashed by Kiryu were causing, he had no difficulty locating the floor he was on and approaching it. That didn't look good. Rather than reveal himself however, he flattened himself against the wall by the staircase and tried to peek into the room, trying to stay unseen and evaluate the situation.
And meanwhile prepared in one hand his assault riffle, in the other a grenade. The monsters he had little chance again, but he may try to go for the one ordering them around. ]

Somewhere on the ground he might see the probably more or less recognizable, but very lifeless body of Shion - Kiryu may or may not be stepping on him while making his way to the stair case, his monsters moving at his sides and behind him.]

'You're nothing but a puppet to them,' a little voice whispers in the back of his head as he works to reorganize some dolls on the shelves. 'That's all you were, and that is all you'll ever be...'
His eyes narrowed as he stops and stares at the doll in his hands, shaking his head. No, he has a job to do right now. He needs to focus on said job. Though, that didn't mean that he wouldn't have a little fun in doing so. "What fun could be had in being a shopkeeper on this floor," you ask? Well, it certainly wasn't playing with them like you would expect.
The little message on the network he caught a glimpse of before coming to his post was his cue.
Still looking at the doll, he sneered.]
Let's have a little fun.
[Something about his eyes, maybe even his aura, seems a little off - maybe even glowing as he chuckles under his breath. Seconds later, the doll is consumed in dark flames and a blade is in his hands, normal clothes transformed into a dark suit he hasn't used in quite some time. Last December, actually. In replica time, that's quite a while ago.
Haphazardly and with little care, he tosses the doll over his shoulder, his dark aura growing in strength as he seems to breathe it in before dispelling a magic that seems almost foreign to him. blue-violet flames begin to spread in X-shaped patterns as he laughs, summoning his blade to his grasp.
It was time this puppet cut his own strings.
Your move, tower.]
Floor 15
She's been having a bad...year, really. Fighting, video games, rescue operations, questioning the validity of her own existence - she knows that she's still got a lot of despair and stress to work off, especially from when she still believed she was no more than a fragment. All right so it's mostly the despair, the pain that she never truly let out.]
It's not like the damage is going to stick anyway...is it. Come on, Tower. It's your fault this all happened, so- let's dance, shall we?
[It only takes a few moments to call out Garuda (and only Garuda - Norn's a healer, not a fighter) and set him to work destroying things. People use this room - it's full of things that can be destroyed -
And just like back with that ill-fated infirmary raid, she's actually okay with it. Well, like I said, the damage won't stick.
She shifts her weight to the crutch for a moment, focusing and then letting loose beams of light. Holy Dance - that good old fallback. But no. There's probably electric stuff here too, right? Elec Dance follows, arcs of lightning striking machinery at random.
In its own way, it's beautiful. She flicks her cape briefly and then resumes casting spell after spell, pausing only to recover from the magic use. That's when Garuda takes over, of course. Full blast.
Maybe one of these days I'll have to choose whether to be a good child or to continue raising hell like this. But for now, well...it isn't like it matters. Right?
... Of course, it doesn't take long for an electrical fire to start. Look who isn't worried.]
no subject
[ Asks a voice from atop one of the wider tables that's still standing.
Avenger, perched there with his legs crossed at the knees, watches her set that electrical fire raging in the room, with those random bolts of lightening and beams of light and so forth. That idiot used this room fairly regularly but the Servant isn't attached to it.
He sounds unenthusiastic, but not especially concerned. Like a spectator at a game. ]
no subject
It's nice to be able to let it out, yeah.
[She looks back at the inferno.]
...I feel like laughing at it all, to be honest.
no subject
Mm-hmm. Venting is always a blast.
[ Avenger tilts his head. ]
Laughing at the Tower? Peoples' futile struggles? The burning wood in front of us?
no subject
[She just sounds puzzled at it, tilting her head while watching the flames.]
You know that laugh when you realize you're going over an edge that you probably shouldn't be going over? And you probably should stop yourself, but it's kind of pointless? I think that's it.
no subject
[ He chuckles.
But no, he wouldn't know that laugh because Avenger went over that edge, hit several more edges on the way down, got a lot of blood and mud over everything, and kept right on falling and falling and falling. But he gets what she's trying to convey anyway.
Still, Avenger is casual. ]
Aah, thinking 'bout the dangers of going too far without going 'whoops, time to try and go back,' but not concerned enough 'bout yourself to slam the brakes?
no subject
So.
Why are we doing this?
[It's not patronizing - just curious.]
no subject
You read the message on the network, right? The one calling for some damage to get done? ... I was bored.
no subject
[He watches the fire for another second.]
Were you just planning on sticking to this floor?
no subject
[There's a brief half-smile before she gets back to work. Well, actually, not so much "getting back to work" as she is just watching the mess. Aleph kind of broke her concentration, and now she's just thinking.]
This - ah, yeah. Just this floor. From what I can tell, there's already people at work elsewhere.

...Did...I make a mistake?

[Congrats, Aleph, you shocked her out of her emo state and now she's looking at you like you just said something really weird.]
How does that even work?

[Yeah, she'd just assumed - Well, you know what happens when people assume!]
Yeah, I guess that makes sense...Huh.

HEADTILT.]
I'm a demon overlord. Why would I need to recruit them? And that's- Okay, I give. How does that even work?!

I'd demonstrate but the floor's on fire and it's hard to dance on stairs.
Floor 39
[Allelujah's not one to ignore an obvious tactic when he sees it. So he flings open the doors, letting Hallelujah loose.]
[... Bombs are simple to make. Really, as long as he can find explosive materials, it'll work. And there's a lab with strange chemicals - and he has enough knowledge of science to recognize a few that are volatile.]
[Anyone coming to the workout floor will find a few explosions going off, as well as a few fires getting started. Hallelujah is laughing, before heading towards the upper levels.]
Floor 28
The music room had been a favorite of hers, a place she tended to linger when nothing else pressed upon her time. She knew it well. Which made it a fine place to ruin, as she knew precisely what ought to be ruined. Stepping into the floor, she gave an idle flick of her wrist and conjured a ball of flame. Another flick, and it became several separate balls. And with a final gesture of command they fly across the room, engulfing guitars and violins and drums and any other sufficiently flammable instrument.]
Enough empty music! Enough wasting away the hours!
[Still slowly striding across the floor, both of her hands lift and a great gust of wind comes with them. Wind to fan the flames, wind to pick up the less flammable brass instruments and strew them this way and that.]
Do you understand what you have brought here?! What you have condensed and caged?! Ha! You know nothing!
[Heaven help anyone on the floor with her. Heaven help anyone getting between her and the enormous organ in the center of the floor. She would not be satisfied until it could resonate no more.]
