Characters: Mondo Oowada, Sayaka Maizono, and you!
Setting: Rooms 01-10 and 02-01 and everywhere in between and the library
Format: Either. We'll match what you choose! Posting order will be you → Mondo → Sayaka.
Summary: Mondo and Sayaka explore the tower and adjust to their new lives here.
Warnings: PG-13 or so for Mondo's language, but otherwise none.
➥ Rooms 01-10 and 02-01 and everywhere in between
After spending a solid two weeks in the utter hell that was Prayer's Pass, Mondo was not expecting to wake up and be told that his entire world was destroyed. It doesn't make any sense. He's already been told about the future of his world (it's not a very bright one, but at least it exists) so how could his world have been destroyed? Besides, it doesn't even make sense; Sayaka was told the same thing and she comes from an earlier point in time than he does. Of course Mondo was pleased to see a familiar face and practically latched onto Sayaka immediately. It's their first day in the tower and they can be found exploring the rooms together, exchanging theories about how they've come to be here and just what this place is. Mondo can be found picking at his collar and trying to adjust or remove it.
After a little while of exploring, Mondo will finally break away from Sayaka's side to approach the nearest bystander and ask, "Hey, what the fuck's up with this place?" He pauses for a moment while he thinks, then adds, "Do you know if there's anyone here from Hope's Peak or Prayer's Pass?"
➥ Library
Later that day Mondo and Sayaka can be found in the library. They're examining the terminals and figuring out how to work them. Mondo loses interest in them easily enough and explores the shelves, never losing sight of Sayaka. It's almost like if he looks away, she'll vanish or something. After all they've been through, the last thing he wants is to lose a friend again.
Perhaps you'll be approached by one of them, asking for information about the terminals and more importantly, how to get them to work.

...Mondo? And Sayaka, yes?

M-Mayu?
[Oh shit. He still feels really bad about what happened even though ultimately things turned out okay in the end. His posture has gone rigid and he looks completely at a loss for what to do or say.]

Sayaka offers a small smile and a wave.]
Ah, so you're here too, Mayu-san. Did you happen to get the same message from this place..?
no subject
'World is destroyed, safer here?' Read it. Seems fake, yes?
no subject
Yeah. It's not possible. I know what happens in my future back home, so the world can't have been destroyed.
[But then again, if Kirigiri, Naegi, Togami, and Asahina aren't here... isn't it possible that it was somehow destroyed? But that doesn't make sense for Maizono then, since he comes from a later point in time than she does.]
Did you just get here too?

I THOUGHT I'D REPLIEEEED /orz
it's cool! I've been slow anyway orz
Closed to Mondo--prelude to the post.
To say the least, that letter was taken, crumbled, and thrown to the nearest wall--Sayaka refused to believe something like that on principle, while she itched at the collar on her neck. That certainly didn't add any points in the tower's favor, nor did it give her any piece of mind.
For the time being, it may have been worth it to explore this place, right? It took a few minutes--getting motivation and plastering a smile onto her face, she walked right out the door and into the open. She had to remain calm, remain stead...y...]
No way...is that..?
[Well, for a little while at least! She had at least walked around a bit before she saw something awfully familiar in the hallway--she practically jumped and ran when she saw a familiar face ahead.]
Oowada-kun? Is that you?!
[...So yeah, that thing about remaining calm...]

First of all, he didn't understand how his world could have been destroyed. He was assuming that they were talking about his original world, not Prayer's Pass or Ylisse. That made no sense though, since he was told just what would happen to him in the future. He was going to die, not end up here. It was possible that maybe he had been saved from death somehow - if Prayer's Pass could grant him that, why couldn't this place? - but what about Kirigiri and the others? They had all lived past him and if he had been saved, what about them? Were they here? Or perhaps was this some sort of afterlife and he just didn't remember his death? It was possible, he supposed, but then what about the note stating that his world had been destroyed?
The endless questions weren't helping him any, so he had decided to go for a walk. Mondo had picked up the items from the trunk (most of them were pretty useless, he was sure, especially if his world was really gone) and had departed for the upper floors immediately.
He isn't expecting to hear a familiar voice and when Sayaka's voice rings out, he turns immediately to face her.]
Maizono? Holy shit, what are you doing here?
[She's not the only one who's lost her cool. Mondo looks somewhere between confused, concerned, and downright excited to see a familiar face.]
no subject
[She runs right on up to him, stopping to catch her breath a bit once she's there--once she's done that, her face shifts to a rather large grin. She's happy not to be alone here, to say the least. However this place turns out, someone familiar is definitely a blessing.
Her look shifts the very moment she speaks, though--it's still a smile, but she notices that collar there don't tell her that he...]
It's so, so good to see you again, Oowada-kun. But...what happened? How on earth did we get here?
no subject
[Mondo rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. It is good to see Maizono again, especially here, but he's not really sure how to handle that. He's never been good with girls.]
I'm glad to see you're okay though!
no subject
[She nods at the second bit there--she didn't mention any sort of place like this in Ylisse. They must have gotten lost along the way...
Sayaka'd expression goes a little downcast at that--if she hadn't decided to go along, maybe they wouldn't have gotten lost, would they? She doubts it, and shakes her head.
His last words do cause her to look back up, getting that smile right back on her face.]
I'm glad too, Oowada-kun. If nothing else, we can be happy for that much, can't we?
[She laughs, keeping her tone light to try and keep the mood up.]

Figures it wouldn't be the same one, and he crosses his arms. He's about as tall as Mondo.]
Dunno what Prayer's Pass is, but I know a few from Hope Academy, yeah...you two are new, right?
[It's...really weird talking to someone who you considered a friend but now it's back to him being a total stranger because he's not the same guy.]
no subject
[But more importantly...]
You knew some people from Hope's Peak? Who are they? Are they around here somewhere?
no subject
[He gives him a look.]
You were here as well. Well..'nother you. It's confusing.
no subject
[Sayaka pipes up, stepping by Mondo, but not too close. She doesn't want to make this uncomfortable by getting into their bubbles...]
Excuse me for interrupting you, but...if they aren't here, where exactly are they? Did they manage to get out?
no subject
[Man how do you even begin to explain this.]
This place is dangerous. They might have returned to their destroyed worlds of gotten killed off. We ain't sure...
[Let him just casually hit a nearby wall in frustration.]

Kanji was not the best for plot dumps I'm sorry.

He's at least succeeding in getting the point across!!
Hello my name is late tags after con the game, the anime.
library;
She didn't really expect anyone random to come up to her and start a conversation though. It makes her blink for a moment, even though she notices she's just being asked something by - apparently - new people. At least it makes sense then, she's become a little wary of people randomly talking to her over time, but this is normal enough that she drops her guard. ]
Huh, you mean they aren't working for you? You tried hitting them yet? [ Clearly violence is always the answer. Right. ]
no subject
[Ignore him, he's dumb.]
Thanks for the advice! C'mon, Maizono, let's try 'em again!
[Someone stop him before he punches a hole in the terminal...]
no subject
[Is it her turn to be the sane one today, oh dear.]
You might break it!
no subject
Hey, it can't be that bad, right? You don't need to break it, just a normal hit should be enough.. and these things are pretty sturdy! [ DON'T ENCOURAGE IT, ASAHI.. ]
no subject
I won't hit it that hard! I'll just kick it a little, see if that'll do anything!
[And with that, he'll just go marching over to the terminals to do just that!!]

He can't quite believe his eyes and just stares for a long while before he gets up quickly and goes over to hug him tight!
"You... you came back... O-Oowada-kun... You came back..." He can't quite help crying.
no subject
"Back? What do you mean 'back'?"
no subject
Sayaka certainly couldn't hear anything from where she was, but what she saw was more than interesting. Not to mention rather cute, if she could say so herself. She'll slowly put the books down and walk on over, a cat-like smile crawling onto her face.
"You certainly seem popular today, Oowada-kun." She says that with a bit of a teasing tone, but she keeps it as light as she can.

But the year they'd spent together here. All the things they've been through together and how close they'd become. Mondo... Mondo... couldn't remember...
"I... I..." This is so embarrassing. This is so... He backed away. No, he couldn't cry. He couldn't... He'd promised to be stronger. He was stronger. He ... Then he heard another familiar voice and looked over. He quickly tried to wipe away the tears that were threatening to fall and did his best to smile. "H-Hello, Mai-Maizono-san..."

And then Fujisaki started tearing up. "Oh shit," Mondo remarked under his breath. "W-Well, maybe if you tell me some of the things that happened the memories will come back or something? I mean, it can't hurt to try, right?"
