A kirin's nature [Attn Eridan and Open]

Characters: Taiki, Eridan. And anyone who wants to be confronted by Gohran
Setting: Room 2-18 for Taiki and Eridan (moving eventually to floor 20) and everywhere for Gohran
Format: Take your pick and I'll match
Summary: The paranoia reaches a peak, the compulsion to kill the surgical victims clashes directly with the fact a kirin can not kill or fight without the order of their king. Taiki goes mad, and decides the only way is to escape. He takes Eridan with him. Gohran stalks the tower. (If anyone wants to have a conflict with Gohran/be killed by/get into a fight with but not die then jump in!)
Warnings: Horror, paranoia, fear, breakdown, violence, death. Swearing most likely. I'll add as it goes.

A: Room 2-18 There was no one he could trust. He woke up with this one certainty in his mind. Everyone wanted to hurt him, everyone was working for the tower. Everyone. He stood up and glared at the sleeping form of his roomate. Why else would he sleep in the day time and be awake at night if not to kill Taiki in his sleep. Taiki felt ill, more ill than he had felt the day before, it was getting worse. The blood, they were probably poisoning him. Everyone in this tower had been acting weird and Taiki could not trust any of them.

He opened the door before realing backwards. The smell of blood, of violence, of fear was so strong it was overwhelming. He had to kill them. All of them, it was their fault, the experiments. The tower hadn't smelt so much like this before they had came back. It was the only way to stop it.

Taiki doubled up as the implications of that hit him, just like when he had tried to prostrate to Shoryu his kirin nature conflicted so forcibly with what his mind was telling him he could barely move, barely breath. He couldn't kill, couldn't commit violence without his kings order. Didn't want to. Murder was so wrong, so bad, so horrfying. Yet...

It was the only way. But it couldn't be, killing was never the correct way, violence was always wrong even if sometimes it was necessary for a king. A kirin would temper them and lead them down the path of benevolence.

But they will hurt you, they want to, they don't care about killing you, they will do it without a moments thought. Taiki let out a scream. No... this was murder.... but...

Tears rolled down his cheaks as he screamed curled in a ball. In seconds Sanshi and Gohran were there. Sanshi held him. "Taiki, Taiki," she rocked him in her arms. Gohran, in his wolf guise stalked the room.

"Ki... kill them all" Taiki gasped, clamping his hand over his mouth as the words came out. "No, no. Gohran don't! Don't!" But the wolf had bounded out already, the paranoia had passed to his Shirei and Gohran didn't even need the excuse to hunt for those who were harming Taiki.Taiki screamed again and sobbed into Sanshi's arms the two compulsions waging war inside him.

B: Gohran in the tower

Gohran stalked the corridoors, looking for those he had to kill. Those that smellt wrong, they were the ones that had to die. Of course there had been those who had saught to hurt Taiki as well, they would die as well if Gohran found them, and anyone who many hurt Taiki in the future, all the creatures of this tower. They all would die. Taiki had commanded it.

Eridan regarded the hoofbest nervously, then walked close and carefully climbed on top. He didn't think this was a very good idea, but staying here was definitely not a good idea. Wherever they went, it was unlikely to be much worse.

He immediately regretted the thought.

"Don't you need some kind a harness or something?" he asked, fiddling with his scarf. "So I can hold on to something? I don't wwant you to drop me."

Glub. [Eridan clings to his mane, pressing his cheek to Taiki's neck and watching the scenery whip by. This was a really bad idea. He's never flown before and he's pretty sure he's not going to like it.]

You'd better not drop me!

[No.

Eridan looks back at the stairs, then forward towards the mist. Behind is a true horror filled with crazy people and monsters and whole rooms where there's just screaming.

Ahead, the unknown.

He straightens up a little on the kirin's back. He straightens his scarf, checks his hair, and puts on an expression like a Prince about to ride his noble steed into the dragon's cave to rescue the Princess. His cape flaps majestically in the breeze. He finishes by taking a firmer hold of Taiki's mane.]

Yeah, let's get the fuck out a here.

[Eridan wasn't happy when they leaped off, and he's really not happy now. His claws dig in and he screams as the kirin plummets.]

Can't you fuckin' fly!??!?!

[He's pretty sure that getting on a hoofbeast with no wings and expecting it to fly was the stupidest thing he has ever done.

Luckily, it won't last long]
