Well, this certainly isn't the ending he had been expecting...
Characters: Luke fon Fabre and anyone else.
Setting: Dorm room (2-12), then where ever!
Format: I'll start with prose, but will match.
Summary: He's waking up and kind of freaking out a bit? Eh, he'll calm down, eventually.
Warnings: None that I can think of!
[DORM]
Waking up is painful, actually. When the redhead finally manages to gain control over the movement of his body, he instantly realizes not only that he is nowhere he has ever even heard of, but just how creepy and twisted this place seems.
Could this place be the afterlife?
That thought has Luke sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at the floor with a mixed expression of relief (in knowing that he had succeeded in freeing Lorelei), and even a bit of confusion. He has no memory of ending up here. He has no clue how it could have happened. Then he finds the letters. Well, one looks more like an actual letter. The other, similar to a list of... rules, perhaps. He hasn’t actually read any of it, yet, as his focus is on the first. Someone seeing him would immediately be able to tell that he is in a state of shock.
This has to be a nightmare. This isn’t really happening. Those two sentences are the first to enter his mind. The next, however, actually has him on the verge of throwing up. Everyone... Everyone cannot be... His mind freezes, drawing a blank, for a moment. It seems his mind refuses to so much as think the next word, for now. When it finally regains the ability to think, one particular thought is standing out in the back of his mind, "All of that... we did... all of that..."
Luke continues the words audibly, "... for... nothing?"
His hands begins trembling as everyone's faces slowly begin creeping their way into his mind. One face, in particular, causes his breath to hitch in his throat. The stinging of his eyes slowly results in a hint of tears breaching the lower lids, "Tear...too?"
Clenching his teeth, his expression tenses. He slowly moves to his feet. No. This is all a lie. This is simply too cruel. His breathing escalates just a bit as his hands tighten into fists, before he moves the right one to one side of his head. Mere seconds tick by, before he breaks into the silence, "It's... a lie..."
A soft laugh escapes his throat, at how pitiful and foreign his own voice sounds. He looks to be completely unable to grasp the situation, as his eyes are now completely widened. His left hand quickly moves to the other side of his head. Both hands tighten into fists, clenching his short red locks firmly. He drops to his knees, panting. Luke barely recognizes his own voice as it suddenly cries out, "It has to be!"
[WHERE EVER]
He finds himself, hours later, wandering the hallways sort of aimlessly. Luke had been very glad to find his clothes in that trunk, along with several other fairly useful things. There is still confusion resting on his face, though it is now mixed with something else. Luke seems sort of lost at the moment. Pausing in front of a window, he stares out at the fog. This place... What the hell is this place? Is he really stuck here, without a choice? This can't seriously be happening, right? The questions are asked without much drive behind them. Luke's expression softens, and he is looking down at the floor with a fairly sad expression filling his face.
Everyone... Could they all really be gone?
"Tear... Everyone... I'm sorry."
Apologizing only seems fitting. He knows this is completely out of his hands, but he also feels he must apologize at how things have turned out. If their world is truly gone, he is sorry that he could not do anything to stop it. If his friends and family are truly dead, then he is sorry that there is nothing he could have done to save them. No matter how it works out, he is simply sorry for it. The thing that is truly sinking into his mind, though, is that... he may never see any of them ever again. Ignoring the sick feeling in his stomach, he begins walking.

"There are a lot of us here, and we are doing our best to find a way out here, to restore the worlds and free our souls." As part of the team working on the latter Shion didn't quite want to tell him that they had made no progress as of yet. They'd only been working on the liquid for a week though.

He listens, silently, for a moment. He reaches inside, pulling out what looks like a journal. Flipping to the last entry, he is very surprised to find that his last entry is there; in fact, every entrance is intact. When he speaks, he closes the journal, his voice is fairly soft.
"Restore our worlds," he repeats that part with a slight flinch, "So, then...it's true?"

He paused, "Or Asch..."

The second one causes his throat to feel just a bit dry, and he struggles to swallow. Luke forces himself to relax, telling himself that there must be some sort of misunderstanding. There's no way that's even possible, right? Even if this entire place is impossible, that is just too crazy.
"Are you saying there's another me?"
He pauses a moment, before giving a look of disbelief that holds some obvious sadness in there, "My name's not... Asch, though. Are you really telling me there's..."
He doesn't even finish the sentence.

Luke gives a faintly sheepish smile and nods to the question of his name. He waits until the other is finished talking, before he speaks up. This is a lot to take in. He decides to start simple, "I see. So, then... Even if Asch is here, there's a chance he won't be the same?"
He expression falters momentarily, ranging somewhere between relieved and sad. As thought seeking a momentary distraction, he reaches down for one of his outfits and holding it close, almost as though for some sort of strange comfort. Glancing back at his roommate, he speaks in a softened tone, "What's your name, by the way?"

"I'm Shion, it's nice to meet you. I've been here a while so I can try and answer what questions you have."
no subject
He has so many questions, all of which seem to be fighting to reach the tip of his tongue first. He inhales, holds for a moment, then slowly exhales. This does nothing to relax his nerves, and he decides to give up for now. Dropping his eyes to the floor, he speaks in a slightly more firm voice.
"Do you know... why? Why we're here?"
That first letter says they have been "saved", but... this feels nothing like that. He feels more like a prisoner, like someone who's been placed in the middle of some really sick game. The only feeling he's gotten from this place, so far, is fear. Even with only having been here less than an hour.
First impressions do tend to stick.

"It's not a good place, I am sorry you were brought here."
no subject
"Ex...periments... and games?"
He can't bring himself to mention the part of the worlds being gone, now. In the very back of his mind, a nagging voice questions the point in even fighting this place. "What's the point when there's nothing to go back to?"
Luke shakes his head at the last sentence, "It's not your fault. You're just as much of a victim, as I am..."
He offers a smile. It's weak, but he's trying. It's all he can do, to keep himself from walking back to his bed and curling up into a ball. He attempts to sound less depressing, with his next sentence.
"I'm gonna go change. Mind showing me where the bathroom is?"
no subject
He stood up and nodded, "They aren't far, I'll show you."

The redhead questions as he heads towards the door, his posture a bit more relaxed. He opens the door and steps back to allow Shion to go ahead of him.
"Thank you, by the way..."
hjdfkhg pretend he said Riki
He shrugged, "It might have been a long time ago, but I remember being new here, it was a very frightening experience."
It's cool! Pretend I did, too! c:
Four, huh? Luke silently wonders why they were called "administrators". That word doesn't sound scary, or anything. He would have expected something with more power behind it.
"How long ago?"
He glances at Shion with a somewhat sad expression. He wonders how this kid stays so calm... Then he finds himself wondering exactly what kind of person this kid must have been, before he got here.

With that, Luke decides to stop talking about that particular thing. Shion sounded sad, so...
"Alright, thanks," he pauses for a second, "Uh... So what do you do to... I mean," he seems to be having trouble wording it, "... forget about everything, for a little while? I know it's impossible to forget where we are, but how do you manage to not go crazy?"
Assuming Shion is as level-headed as he seems, that is. He then realizes he has no idea how sane or insane his roommate is, but... he could be right in his assumptions, too.

"Having friends helps, and there is a library, and games and things... If it wasn't so scary it is actually an interesting place." Even if it was all fake.

He pauses, then scratches the back of his head. After a couple of seconds, he offers Shion a faint smile.
"Well, after I change, do you mind showing me some of your favorite things to do around here?"

He heads into the restroom. The redhead actually... feels a little better, already. Sure, he wants to cheer Shion up. He wants to take the white-haired guy's mind off of this place, even if only a little...
Really, though, Luke needs it just as much as his roommate. Minutes later, Luke comes back out. He appears to feel a little better, simply being out of that terrible, skin-tight (and, really, who the hell had picked that crap out?) attire.
"Alright," he says, hand resting on his hip as green eyes rest on Shion, "Where to, first?"
no subject
"Do you like books?" He asked as the boy reappeared.
no subject
"Yeah," he says with a nod.
He scratches the side of his face, the other hand still casually held in place.

"Alright, sounds great!"
