how the mighty have fallen
Characters: Isamu Nitta and whoever dares.
Setting: Various floors in the first block. Cafeteria, mostly. His bedroom (1-06) if you're a roomie.
Format:surprise me any
Summary: The Mighty Isamu, Master of Amala, now lost and confused in his new surroundings, is doing his best to avoid contact with others. It's easier to tell how much of a freak you appear to be when there's more than just demons around to judge.
Warnings: He's kind of an ass.
The chest by his bed had contained his clothing, though the most Isamu had really done was switch out the white outfit he'd woken in to his old jeans and hat. Trying to cover himself with a shirt was pointless. It was too tight and rubbed against the growths uncomfortably. Anyone who saw him after he snuck out would just have to deal.
-Cafeteria-
It's been a couple days since Isamu's arrival, and he's hungry. He'd been taken care of in the Amala Network after a time, but here? Here the neglected and empty pieces of his still-human system had nothing to keep them from crying out for attention. Hiding in his room did little good when it was shared (though he did try) so he waits until night to make his way to the cafeteria.
Being refused anything but a bowl of oatmeal, he considers skipping out on food entirely. His stomach has other ideas, however, and oatmeal is one of the few things he might actually be able to get down (that isn't a straight liquid) after a good while of not eating at all. He moves to a corner of the room and does his best to eat there without being noticed.
-Floor 3 / Library-
Searching through the books here reveals little about anything. One would have thought that with so many words at least some of them would be useful. He doesn't stay here long, and he leaves a mess of scattered books behind him when he leaves.
-Floor 4 / Lounge-
The rest of his time out is spent in this room, curled up on a futon against the wall and doing his best to make himself invisible to others so that he can have some time to ponder things in private.

Library. This is so late, so feel free to ignore if you want! ><;
"Hey! This library is free for everyone to use, but if you're going to read the books, put them back before you leave so that everyone else can find them again. It's a huge pain when patrons don't clean up their messes!"
no subject
The last thing he cared about at this point was the convenience of the others in the tower. They weren't going to do anything for him, so why should he care if they had to deal with this mess?
no subject
"Everything in this library is useful to someone! Just because it's not what you're looking for right now doesn't mean that it's useless! There's no such thing as a useless book, and if you were to burn them, you would lose ideas, knowledge, salvation, joy, sorrow, and quite a few other things that could be gotten from them! If you told me what you're looking for, I could help you out, but as a librarian here, and, more importantly, the book girl, I'll never approve of anyone disrespecting books like that for no reason!"

"So, clean up the books, and I'll help you find what you're looking for."
no subject
"Make me."
He moved to shove her out of the way. "You can't help me find what isn't here."
no subject
"I will! And if you don't tell me what you're looking for, I'll have no idea whether it's here or not. I can't read your mind."
no subject
He glared hard at her now, not honestly liking the idea of shoving a girl around any more than he needed to. "Get out of my fucking way."
no subject
"No way. You may not be able to find many books here about this place, but I can give you an explanation. You have to clean up the mess you made first though. While they're not about this Tower, those books are about many other wonderful and interesting things, and they deserve to be treated kindly."
no subject
"I don't care about these books, and I don't need an explanation from you." If he really wanted to bother one of the other residents, he'd find someone that was less... like her. Or no one at all. Maybe he didn't actually care enough to get all of the information.
no subject
"I don't clean up after other people's messes unless I want to or unless I promise to do so. You may not care about them, but I'm one of the best people here that could give you an explanation."
no subject
He was getting tired of this. He turned, hopping up onto the table beside them and over it in order to get around her easier.
no subject
"I'm not going to give you a mediocre explanation! After all, if I did that, and you died because I didn't tell you something, I'd feel terrible, even if you are a huge jerk! And don't try and run away from me! That's not going to help anyone, you know!"
no subject
no subject
"How so? You won't get an explanation about this place, and you won't get a chance to redeem yourself for trashing the books! If you run away, you have nothing to gain."
no subject
And he was being particularly stubborn here, as he has a tendency to do. He doesn't need help from anyone here, does he? He can do just fine on his own. He has before. (Never mind how everything ended.)
