Isamu will not respond to anyone who answers, but will remain curled up in his seat at the console, knees pulled up to his chin. He's shivering, despite the layer of sweat that's causing the crumbling dirt-like remains of the growths to become mud on his skin, and he's hardly slept in days. One might think that being shirtless still would be counterproductive to his recovery, but he doesn't want anything touching his skin right now.

Withdrawal from the magatsuhi, the energy the demons fed on, is doing a number on his system. For now, the worst has basically passed, but he isn't aware of this. As far as he's concerned, he could be dying again and he doesn't know what to do.

((ooc: Sorry for a second post so soon, but I didn't want to inflict this on others when they had their own plots/intros going on.))

[He attempts a hollow sort of laugh.]

This isn't a natural sickness. He can't just give me a pill.

There's healers here who also use magic stuff. They're pretty good.

Like what the demons use? I don't need any of that...

[He slumps down a little. Conversation is tiring.]

I don't know. I've never tried asking which magic is which.

No, there's different sorts of magic, I think. Like, the stuff angels do is different from the stuff humans do.

Angels...

[He chuckles a little.] Those are just demons too. I've seen them. I've seen what they're... capable of.

Not all angels are bad. I've met one or two nice ones here. But they're from different worlds than I am.

They're all under her control. Not a one of them could be good for a-anything.

[He shudders involuntarily and brings a hand to his forehead.]

Who are you talking about, this her?

If you don't know... then I'm not gonna tell you.

[Bloodshot yellow eyes glare at her again.]

...Does it start with an "L?"

[If it does, then she has a pretty good idea what he's talking about.]

[His eyes narrow and he shakes his head. Nowhere close.]

Oh, different "her" then. But I've never known anyone other than Lilith and ADAM to control angels.

[Lilith... Wasn't there a demon that went by that name as well? It doesn't matter. He isn't going to tell her this.

He tries to slip off the chair, perhaps get past her and leave the library, but he crumples to his knees on the floor instead.]

[Despite the earlier warning about personal space, she reflexively kneels down and reaches out to try and support him.]

...Alright, you're not okay.

Yeah, no kidding.

[Despite anything he might have said, that should have been apparent from his appearance alone. He twitches away from her touch, but it's not like he can get far. His skin is slick with sweat.]

I'm taking you to the infirmary.

[She wraps her arms tighter around him.]

Can you walk a little? Or do I carry you?

Let... let me go!

[He lacks the strength to shove her away, and despite his protests he doesn't even do much struggling.

His angry stare is soon pointed at his feet.]

...I don't know.

Then sorry for the carry.

[She gives him a quick smile, and moves to hold him in a bridal carry.]

[Whoa, what? He is not being carried by a girl.]

Put me down!

[Now he does struggle as much as he can in earnest.]

I-I'll try and walk, just... just don't do this!

[She considers it for a moment, and then gently sets him down to see if he really can walk.]

[Isamu's legs are shaky, and he leans hard into the girl. If he keeps himself focused on putting one leg in front of the other, he might be able to get somewhere. As long as he has something to lean on when necessary.

Anything to keep him from being held like that.]
