Format: Action like a boss
Summary: In which Minato and Urotsuki make boxed lunches in the kitchen, and then eat them while watching worlds being destroyed. Nothing strange, just spending time together.
Warnings: Project floor’s depiction of world destruction. Will update as necessary.

[Between everything that happened, as well as his recent return from his world, Minato decided up follow up on a promise. After making arrangements with Urotsuki, he’s now in the kitchens and ready to start making boxed lunches with her.

Other than the basics, like rice and vegetables...]

What do you want in your lunch, Urotsuki-chan?

[Beside, this is a good thing to do. It helps him relax and he get to spend time with another person.]

[Somehow. But slowly and surely, Minato's learning to read more and more of Urotsuki's body language and subtle gestures. Minato opens his lunch box and take out his chopsticks to eat with.]

I'm glad as well. Eating lunch with a friend is always great.

[ Chowing down as she speaks. Apparently she really was looking forward to eating that lunch with how quickly she's devouring it now.. ]

Do you have a lot of friends to eat lunches with? [ She never got to do this before - technically this time with Minato is her first time. ]

[Aw yeah, good food. These also taste great because Minato's eating with company--a friend.]

Yeah. Mainly back home, since everyone have their own schedules here.

[Compared to eating with his classmates at school.]

I knew it.. you are the popular kind of person. [ How did you even know that, Urotsuki. Or maybe it's more that she just guessed. If he gave her the time of day, then she supposes he must do it for a lot of people, probably something like that. ]

I'm a little jealous.

[He's aware of his popularity, but Minato doesn't think much of it. His busy life get his attention more.]

I guess... I just like spending time with people I like.

[chainsawn]

Doesn't everyone like doing that?

[ She's quick to agree, especially with how attached to people she gets. ]

They do and that's what matters. I never expected to be popular, however.

[He just do as he normally do. Until he starts making friends and cares for them.

Omnomnom, this octopus sausage is tasty.]

[chainsawn]

[ Thoughtfully chewing.. ]

You're lucky. Not a lot of people are that lucky. I think. A lot of people are alone.

[His chewing slows a little.]

...Yeah, I know. That's why if I know they're alone...I'll talk to them.

[He knows what it's like to be alone.]

[chainsawn]

Like me?

[ She's always been alone, after all. Before this place. And even at times in this place when the people most important to her left. ]

[He doesn't want to assume. Not until he get to know the other person and they say something.

Minato nods.]

[ She pokes some more at the lunch box, although it's more idly than her really making an effort to pick something to eat. ]

.. Do you pity me?

[...Pity, huh? Minato lowers his chopsticks and shake his head.]

Not pity.

[chainsawn]

Then what is it?

[ Since he said "not pity", like there's something else. ]

I simply like making friends with people.

[Unless they don't, then there's that respectful distance/acquaintance level.]

[chainsawn]

Well, I like making friends with people too.

[ She shoves another part of the lunch into her mouth, making her next words a little more mumbled and pouty. ] Bwut I'm nowt powpulawr.

That can suck...do you know why?

[Minato knows why. She's weird, even if it's endearing to him.]

[chainsawn]

Why?

[ Sure, Urotsuki has ideas about it since it's not like she was ever really able to make friends back home, but she wants to know his reason more than anything. He's a popular guy, after all, and maybe if she learns from him then she can be popular too. ]

You're strange and possibly hard for people to understand.

[Minato had his share of being seen as strange and creepy, ever since he was a child. To be fair, the accident that claimed his parents' lives, and the whole Dark Hour thing, can really affect a child's perception and psyche.]

[chainsawn]

[ It's hard to tell whether she likes the answer or not since Urotsuki reacts to all things nearly the same way. Still, there's almost something remotely pouty about the way she stares at the food in the lunch box after she hears that. ]

.. I don't know how to be different though.. I mean.. this is just me.

[Minato finished swallowing whatever food he's eating.]

...Do you want to change or stay as you are?

[chainsawn]

[ Maybe it's not an easy question to answer or maybe Urotsuki is just spacing out, but it takes a few moments before an answer follows. ]

I want people to like me..

[ It's not really an answer either way, but it's what is most important to her. She realises that much. ]

Just like how Yuuto liked me. But he isn't here anymore..

Then just be yourself. Everyone is different and like different things. Some people may not like you, but others will...and that's what's important.

[More or less. Having a lot of friends is good, but so is having friends who earnestly like you as yourself.]

[chainsawn]

But what if I want as many people as possible to like me?

[ This place has proven she can make some people like her, after all. Even if back home that was already a hard thing to do. But that just means that now she has to take it to the next level. ]
