[Backdated to 21st] Before all the explosions...
Characters: Minato Arisato and Urotsuki (
chainsawn) [CLOSED]
Setting: Kitchens, and then to Floor 12 (projections).
Format: Action like a boss
Summary: In which Minato and Urotsuki make boxed lunches in the kitchen, and then eat them while watching worlds being destroyed. Nothing strange, just spending time together.
Warnings: Project floor’s depiction of world destruction. Will update as necessary.
[Between everything that happened, as well as his recent return from his world, Minato decided up follow up on a promise. After making arrangements with Urotsuki, he’s now in the kitchens and ready to start making boxed lunches with her.
Other than the basics, like rice and vegetables...]
What do you want in your lunch, Urotsuki-chan?
[Beside, this is a good thing to do. It helps him relax and he get to spend time with another person.]

[ She's pretty specific, but it's one of those small things she loves despite how blank she seems about everything. Granted, she loves the idea of boxed lunches in general - especially the idea of someone making them with you or for you, that's what makes it so special. It's been a long time since someone has ever done that for her, so she's more excited than she seems.
The counter's a little high for her since she isn't all that tall, but she's already trying to find some meat herself. ]

Octopus shaped sausages? Hm...
[He's already starting to cook the rice, so he can help find the sausage.]
The sausages should be with the other meat.
[Actually, what kind of sausages would they be? Normal? Chicken? Beef? Mystery meat?]
...Do you need a stool?

[ Despite still looking like she's having trouble reaching things. But she keeps trying, and when - after a few moments - she still can't reach it, she instead pulls her arm back and seems to focus for a moment. Said moment later she's.. well.. double her original height and way skinnier. At least she can easily grab the stuff now before returning to her regular self, holding the sausage. ]
.. I wonder how to cut it like an octopus, though.. [ Talking on like nothing happened just now, yup. ]
no subject
I think we have to cut them and then we cook the sausage pieces. When it's cooked, the legs will curl up.
no subject
Because Urotsuki already has her chainsaw out and is making it roar, ready to cut the sausages.. or more likely, at this rate she'll just cut the kitchen counter into two, whoops. ]
no subject
Urotsuki, we cut them with a knife. The chainsaw is harder to use for cleaner cuts.
[Minato never used them before, but he knows those small blades would just wreck the sausages.]
no subject
[ She sounds like a little kid that was just denied its candy, honestly. ]
no subject
[See?]
no subject
[ But even so, it doesn't sound too disappointed anymore, she just makes the chainsaw disappear again. Sure, she loves to use it, but she wants octopus sausages more than that right now, so it's fine. ]
Do you have a knife then..?
no subject
[La la la, going over and taking out two knives. He looks over at her.]
Do you want to learn how to make them?
no subject
[ For a moment she glances between the knives and Minato, but then she shakes her head a little. ]
You do it. [ It's no fun without chainsaws. ]
no subject
[Minato put down one of the knives. With his free hand, he pick up a sausage and start cutting it. Hm, how did it go again. You cut like this...]

no subject
That's cute.
no subject
[ That's apparently her judgement of her work, since she nods a little at it before turning to look at what Minato did. ]
.. Not as cute as octopus sausages though.
no subject
[He's cutting out another octopus, moving the knife carefully.]
no subject
no subject
Yeah. That's why we admire them first and then we can eat them.
no subject
[ Apparently waiting for him to finish, she lifts herself up until she can sit on the counter, swinging her legs back and forth a little as she watches him. ]
no subject
[Okay, where are the oils... There we go. Sizzling time!
Urotsuki can watch and see how the octopuses' tentacles gradually curls up as they're cooked. Minato make sure to move them around with a pair of chopsticks, so they're not burnt on one side.]
no subject
It's apparently pretty interesting to her, somehow. ]
no subject
Look at the cute lil octopuses.]
no subject
.. Probably for the best to just get moving before there's no more lunch before you even reach the floor. ]
no subject
Time to go to the floor.
[LUNCH UNDER THE HOLOGRAPHIC STARRY SKY OF WORLD DESTRUCTION...]
no subject
Fine, fine, she'll be an obedient girl and go to the floor instead without munching it all away first. But she does hold out her hand when he says it's time to go. ]
Let's hold hands. [ She'll probably insist even if he turns down the offer. ]
