Summary: The event is over and everyone who was stuck in the dorms needs a serious bath.
Warnings: Post-event shenanigans? Also baths so p much everyone is at least partially naked.

And so now that you've made your way free of the hell that is the dorm rooms -

This floor mimics a sauna--there are three entrances: one for men, one for women, and one for mixed. Inside each room is the wooden interior one would expect. Outside each area is a small changing room with lockers--if you look, you'll find one with your name on it. The locker will only open up for you. It might be a good place to store things, actually...

- it's time for everyone to take a bath! There's both hot, steamy stalls and large hot spring pools - but you'd better hurry! It's gonna get crowded in here kind of fast.

And hey, keep that towel closed, there's children in here!

[Diarmuid shakes his head and finally opens his eyes to look at his brother.]

I know that. That's not what I meant. What I meant was that they are signs that I've made mistakes and that I've had bad things happen to me. I'm not perfect. I don't always make the right choices. Like with suggesting keeping back some of that fluid and then getting so emotional about it. I was wrong, but everyone seemed so surprised...

[And then there was Kain who had flat out called him perfect. Diarmuid just doesn't understand it.]

You were emotional and Waver was grouchier than he usually is, and, well...me...

I think weird is an understatement. However, weird or not it did get me thinking about some things. I'm worried I might be getting close to crossing a line I can't uncross. A line people will be very upset to know I'm getting so close to again.

[Diarmuid runs a hand through his hair, sighing in frustration.]

I really thought I was passed this kind of thing.

Why should they? You were just doing what a knight would have done.

[Hell, if Diarmuid didn't suggest it, then Cu Chulainn might have.]

Well, maybe a little further than most knights. It was dangerous to you. But you realized it in the end. You walked yourself back.

What if I come to a point where I can't walk myself back? And I won't let anyone else walk me back? What then? You can't tell me that you and Waver and everyone else wouldn't be angry if I gave up completely on keeping myself safe so long as it benefited someone else.

[He frowns. It's a tough question.]

Yeah, I'd be angry.

[He closes his eyes.]

...Tell me, how can I help so that you never hit that point?

[Diarmuid smiles the best he can, but the smile is weak. As if to try and strengthen it, Diarmuid reaches over and gives his brother's shoulder a squeeze.]

You're doing it by being there for me. I just have to watch myself closer and realize when I'm sacrificing too much. Just...if you notice me doing it, be sure to let me know. Don't let me get away with being stupid. Too much is at stake.

I'll do that. And you do the same for me. Tell me if I'm ever being stupid.

[A pause.]

Oh, and I can say you're being stupid right now. Blaming yourself doesn't solve things. Relax and feel better.

[Diarmuid shuts his eyes, laughing in embarrassment.]

Sometimes I think I've forgotten how to relax...

[He leans over so that their foreheads are touching.]

Then it's a good time for you to re-learn it. Come on, I'll go get you a warm drink. That'll get you good and relaxed.

[Diarmuid smiles gently.]

Thank you, but I think I will pass on the drink for now. Since you got me down here, I think I would like to enjoy the water for a bit. Don't feel like you have to babysit me. If you want to go find Asagi or someone else, feel free.

[Who knows. The warm water might even remind him what this relaxing thing is after a while...]
