Summary: Ishtar learns how to make cake with people who offered to help her and then on the day of Darres' birthday same thing. Ishtar finds Sephiroth with Darres, and then Darres' birthday with friends.

OCTOBER 01, 2013

Before Ishtar actually went to find her friends in the kitchen, she went to search for a specific person. It was already tiring and rude that he didn't respond to her mail, but she wasn't really surprised that he didn't, They didn't end well when they passed each other during the event. The event caused a lot of things to happen, and Ishtar acted for the better good for the group. She also violated his personal space by injecting a damn needle into his body. She was probably fucked for that too. She didn't want to see how pissed he was with her, but she knew she had to face him eventually. She knew she was already in trouble.

She also knew that he might be throwing her against the wall, so she decided to grab Darres and see what they could do about together...maybe. She didn't even give him the details. She wanted to find Sephiroth and that's what she told Darres.

[ KITCHEN; FLOOR 1 ]

(a) OCTOBER 01, 2013

Ishtar pretty much found herself some ingredients with the help of some friends and eagerly waited for one of them to actually help her make the cake since she wanted to make it so badly. She wanted to at least do something nice for her husband. Calling him her husband was still a bit awkward on Ishtar's part, but needless to say, she was happy as anyone right now. From all the crap she went through, she was fairly eager to actually do something about Darres' birthday. She didn't want to forget it and just do nothing.


(b) OCTOBER 08, 2013 A FEW HOURS BEFORE THE PARTY

Finally, it was the big day and somehow the cake came together well after all that hard work. She just needed to see if she could find anything to decorate it a little with. She eager to make it seem like it was the best cake ever or at least the best she could make it in a condition like this. Ishtar was humming to herself as she was stirring the chocolate syrup in the pot. She had to go through some sort of hell to get this thing and on top of the cake she was making chocolates today.

[ MAILROOM ]

OCTOBER 01, 2013

For this day, she decided to actually slip a few notes into a few mailboxes. There's a note attached with their names on it. She quietly slipped in the information into the designated mailboxes. People are free to catch her in the act, or interrogate her for why she's sneaking around so carefully.

[ MEADOW ]

OCTOBER 08, 2013

Cake check, food check, and chocolate check. Now she had to make sure people actually got the memo and not tell Darres. She sent Darres a brief message through his mailbox and on the network as she ventured down the hallways, happy and cheerful. She was quietly humming to herself as she had a few bundle of things in her arms, the cake and the chocolates. she could not admit how grateful to her friends for being able to help her out. Even the stranger she met days before were also very nice to her. They also were a huge help to her when she asked them to be.

She finally made it to the floor, with her arm full of cake and chocolate. On top of that, there was some sort of blanket draped over her arms as she carried quietly. She grinned happily as she searched for a good spot in the meadow to actually set up. She hoped that people would come and help her out somehow.

He smiled and nodded, "I am, how are you?" The week locked in their rooms had made everyone a bit jumpy it seemed but it was far from the worst thing that had happened here.

He looked at the ingredients, glad that Ishtar had gotten that far.

"I've got better days, but there's no point in being depressed today," she replied giving him a brief smile. She watched as she glanced around the room. He was right, people were still jumpy, and even Ishtar herself hadn't gotten over it yet but it definitely wasn't the worse thing that could possibly happen.

"Did I do my homework right, Shion?" she mused giving him a look in hopes that it was all right. She's not the type to be making things on her own, so she wasn't sure if what she found was right.

"You did." He checked through all the ingredients, "It's a good start." He went to the cupboard to start pulling out a bowl and cutlery. "What kind of cake would you like to make?"

"Thank goodness," she replied letting out a huge sigh as Shion approved, "but it's only the start isn't it?" she mused laughing nervously.

"I want to do a chocolate cake."

She replied to him.

"There is still a lot to go yes." He smiled at her and brought a bowl over. "Right, first of all we need butter and sugar." He looked for those on the table, "Do you know how to measure things?" He had no idea how much cooking she actually knew at all.

"Not really. I only did things on a whim. I've never actually tried measuring accurately," she replied to him honestly as he asked her. She grabbed the ingredients that he said earlier and gave them to him. Ishtar's knowledge was rather limited considering she didn't really learn this specific trait.

"That's okay. I can show you." There were some scales, a bit large for what the needed but it was a large kitchen, made for a lot of people. They would do. "We need to watch this pointer, and when it gets to the right number stop adding things." He explained.

"Okay, please teach me," Ishtar replied nodding her head as she walked over to him, "Ah, I see!"

Ishtar responded by staring at the pointer for a moment and then going for said ingredients.

Shion nodded, "Okay let's do the sugar first." He pointed at what number they needed, so she could clearly see where the pointer needed to be.

"This one's the sugar right?" she replied pointing to the white powdery crystalline dust. Ishtar nodded her head and reached for it to fill the pointer up.

"Yes that's it." He nodded and watched to make sure it was right. "Okay now we pour it in the bowl."

"Oh, okay," she replied as she reached over for it and started to deposit the contents of the cup into the bowl, "Like this?"

"Yes." He nodded and then found the butter. "Now this, once we have enough we have to mix them together."

"Right, I got this," she replied confidently as she followed what he wanted her to and added the measured amount of butter into the bowl and started to mix them together as carefully as she could.

Shion watched, nodding with a smile. "Great, next we need two egss." He went to find them, and a cup to crack them into. He cracked one, hitting it on the side of the cup before breaking it into the cup and then handed her the second one.

"Two eggs! I can do this," she reached for the eggs but before that Shion handed her an egg instead. She took it, "Alright...that works too."

She mimicked his action and let the substance fall into the cup.

"Then do I drop it into the mixture?"

"You need to mix it first!" He handed her a fork, "And then put it into the mixture and stir it all up together."

"Oh, right...the mixing!"

She chimed as he handed her the fork. She started mixing it to the best of her abilities for the time being until it looked good enough so she could toss it in the mixture.

He smiled and nodded, "That looks good!" He let her pour it in and mix some more, while she did that he went to find the flour.

"Do you really think so?"

She played with the stuff for a bit longer, staring at the doughy looking mix that was starting to form. It was strange to her and unfamiliar. With the flour, it'd probably look even worse than that because Ishtar never really saw the process of stuff like this being made.

"Well it looks like cake mix!" He grinned and brought the flour over once he had measured it. "Right I will pour it in slowly and you can fold it in, that means stirring it but bringing the mixture up and down to make sure you trap air inside it."

"Cake mix...? I've never seen cakes actually being made so this is pretty- well strange."

She kept playing with the substance for a moment before she turned to him, "Oh okay, I'll do that."

She moved her mixing utensil and prepared herself for the next step.

"You haven't?" That seemed really strange to Shion but he wondered if he had not grown up with his mum baking if he would have known. He began pouring the flour in slowly and watching to make sure she folded it correctly.

"I actually never did anything or seen anything of this sort before. I know people make them but I have never seen them before the- you know, become fluffy and tasty."

She laughed a little. Shion was lucky for that. Ishtar didn't have a mother or a father. She didn't know what kind of feeling that would be.

Shion smiled, "That part will come soon enough." He told her finding a tin to put the mixture in. "We need to bake it next."
