[ LIFT TO FLOOR 1 (CLOSED SEPHIROTH & DARRES) ]
OCTOBER 01, 2013
Before Ishtar actually went to find her friends in the kitchen, she went to search for a specific person. It was already tiring and rude that he didn't respond to her mail, but she wasn't really surprised that he didn't, They didn't end well when they passed each other during the event. The event caused a lot of things to happen, and Ishtar acted for the better good for the group. She also violated his personal space by injecting a damn needle into his body. She was probably fucked for that too. She didn't want to see how pissed he was with her, but she knew she had to face him eventually. She knew she was already in trouble.
She also knew that he might be throwing her against the wall, so she decided to grab Darres and see what they could do about together...maybe. She didn't even give him the details. She wanted to find Sephiroth and that's what she told Darres.
[ KITCHEN; FLOOR 1 ]
(a) OCTOBER 01, 2013
Ishtar pretty much found herself some ingredients with the help of some friends and eagerly waited for one of them to actually help her make the cake since she wanted to make it so badly. She wanted to at least do something nice for her husband. Calling him her husband was still a bit awkward on Ishtar's part, but needless to say, she was happy as anyone right now. From all the crap she went through, she was fairly eager to actually do something about Darres' birthday. She didn't want to forget it and just do nothing.
(b) OCTOBER 08, 2013 A FEW HOURS BEFORE THE PARTY
Finally, it was the big day and somehow the cake came together well after all that hard work. She just needed to see if she could find anything to decorate it a little with. She eager to make it seem like it was the best cake ever or at least the best she could make it in a condition like this. Ishtar was humming to herself as she was stirring the chocolate syrup in the pot. She had to go through some sort of hell to get this thing and on top of the cake she was making chocolates today.

OCTOBER 01, 2013
For this day, she decided to actually slip a few notes into a few mailboxes. There's a note attached with their names on it. She quietly slipped in the information into the designated mailboxes. People are free to catch her in the act, or interrogate her for why she's sneaking around so carefully.

OCTOBER 08, 2013
Cake check, food check, and chocolate check. Now she had to make sure people actually got the memo and not tell Darres. She sent Darres a brief message through his mailbox and on the network as she ventured down the hallways, happy and cheerful. She was quietly humming to herself as she had a few bundle of things in her arms, the cake and the chocolates. she could not admit how grateful to her friends for being able to help her out. Even the stranger she met days before were also very nice to her. They also were a huge help to her when she asked them to be.
She finally made it to the floor, with her arm full of cake and chocolate. On top of that, there was some sort of blanket draped over her arms as she carried quietly. She grinned happily as she searched for a good spot in the meadow to actually set up. She hoped that people would come and help her out somehow.

"Don't worry about it Shion. It's never too late," she cheerfully responded. Most of the materials were laid out for them, but Ishtar still had a quizzical look on her face as the boy entered the room.
"Are you doing well, Shion?"
no subject
He looked at the ingredients, glad that Ishtar had gotten that far.
sorry this is late
"Did I do my homework right, Shion?" she mused giving him a look in hopes that it was all right. She's not the type to be making things on her own, so she wasn't sure if what she found was right.
no worries!
thank you~

Thank you so much for helping me. Ah, the middle of the meadow over there if that's okay.

"Hey, Kido. How's it going?"
She mused smiling brightly.

"It's going great. I got to put together the cake and everything!"
She chimed happily to his question, "You'll join us yes?"

Floor 1
The fact that Ishtar was there didn't seem to provoke any reaction first off, though inside a familiar pang of angry, loathing feeling sunk in his gut.
Floor 1
Either way, she knew he was pretty ticked off at her and was pretty much prepared for something. She wasn't sure what as long she at least survived it. She hoped so anyway.
"Sephiroth," she mused softly, giving him a brief wave as she approached him. She's not sure how he'd react, so keeping it rather calm would probably be a better idea. She wasn't even sure how their relationship ended up this way.
Floor 1
All the arguments, all those deadly glares across the room. The hallucinations, and his ultimate weakening in front of them both; Sephiroth was much too short of patience for either of them as a result.
She called his name just as he made it half way towards the elevator but still he kept walking. Only when having pressed the button to call the lift did he have to stop and wait, and glanced over his shoulder at her.
"You just can't leave alone, can you?" His voice was cool, too cool in contrast to the bitterness that already pulsed beneath his surface.
Floor 1
"I'm afraid not. I left you a letter and everything you know?" she mused softly. She was trying to keep things as calm as she could with him right now. Ishtar trailed on after quietly, keeping her distance. She could feel his mood from the minute he talked to her. He really was pissed.

[ KITCHEN; FLOOR 1 ] (a) OCTOBER 01, 2013
He discovered the answer to the question of what he should do to help, on his own. He let out a sheepish laugh. It looked like she already had all of the ingredients ready. It seemed that all was left to do, next, was measuring them. Instead of waiting for the answer, he reached up and grabbed the measuring equipment and set them down next to the ingredients.
"So, ...how big do you want this cake to be?"
[ KITCHEN; FLOOR 1 ] (a) OCTOBER 01, 2013
She was rather content to see her friends sort of there to support her. Hell, she hardly knew Luke but he was already a huge sweetheart to her. She peeked over his shoulders as he had the measuring equipment.
"Not too big, probably a medium sized one might work best."
She replied giving it a moment of thought.
sorry so laaate... asdf
And, with that, he was explaining why there's a difference in measurement--taking time to show her everything as he did it. He even went so far as to note that it was always best to use all-purpose flour. Yes, Luke did learn a lot about cooking during his two-year travels. After everything was measured out and set aside, he began putting ingredients in, one and a time.
Once finished, he smiled, "Alright, you want to do the mixing while I start cleaning some of this up?"
It would make it easier, towards the end, if some of it had been cleaned up during the process...
it;s cool. take your time.
Mailroom
Quark was investigating the mail room for science. Not because mail was scientific, but because he didn't have a mailbox and he had the thought that maybe it would be a good idea to go get one! Observing how things were done was a sort of science. And it just sounded cooler to say that he was doing things for science, anyway.
But it looked as if someone else was in the mail room already! Not that this was exactly surprising, but she was putting stuff into a bunch of different boxes, it looked like. Immediately, Quark's curiosity was shot through the roof.
"What're you doing?" He asked, big eyes wide. "Do you want some help?"
Mailroom
Ishtar jumped when another child approached her and it wasn't Ganta. She knew a few of the children here, but not this one. She hadn't seen him around too much but she had an idea of who he was, maybe.
"Ah, well just delivering some letters for some of my friends and some of my husbands friend.I wanted to have them at his birthday," she replied to him offering him a smile, "Ah not really I'm almost done, but thank you."
no subject
The fact that the pretty lady smiled made Quark smile, as well. She seemed really nice, so even though she didn’t need his help after all, he had been glad to offer it in the first place. “You’re married, Miss?” He looked thoroughly impressed. On his world, after all, marriage and families weren’t exactly a common occurrence. Generally, people didn’t live long enough. “It must be nice to have your husband here with you!”
His smile only got wider. “And you’re throwing him a birthday party! That’s so cool! Is it going to be a surprise party or just a normal one?”

He wasn't sure what to make of this. This wasn't something he was use to. His last real birthday was when his coming of age with his mom shortly before being dubbed Ishtar's royal guard.
"What's the meaning of this?"
It's not as if Darres didn't appreciate all the work and care his wife invested into putting this together and making it happen. It just didn't seem appropriate to celebrate in the tower is all.
no subject
"What do you think silly?"
She reached to grab his arm and dragged him towards the set up. Whether it fit or not, Ishtar was not wasting anyone's happiness away because the Tower wanted to be a huge douche bag to them all.
