Aaaand... a nice little catch-all for you guys. And a cheagle.
Characters: Luke fon Fabre (
desireforchange, Ganta Igarashi/Woodpecker (
woodpeckermaruta, Hagire Rinichiro, and whoever!
Setting: Luke: His room (2-12), then where ever!
Ganta: His room (2-10), where ever, then the Meadow/25th floor [CLOSED TO HAGIRE AND SHIRO/WRETCHED EGG (because she can totally pop in if she likes)]
Format: Will match.
Summary: Luke: Discovers his latest gift from the Towerthat really happens not long after the event but mun fails so let's just all go along with it (spoilers: it's a green cheagle), attempts to name it, but fails on his own. Seriously, somebody should probably help.
Ganta: He, too, discovers his latest gift from the Tower. After that, he's sort of hanging around, for a while, until he ends up on the meadow floor, where Hagire shows up.
Warnings: Violent words.Maybe just violence in general. WHO KNOWS. I will update as it goes.

[2-12]
He hadn't heard the noise until several minutes of being in his room...
Blinking a couple of times, he moves over to the source, finding himself looking down at the trunk at the foot of his bed. It sounded like something attempting to get out. Which is weird, because there hadn't been anything in there that should be able to so much as move, ...right? The redhead furrows his brow and slowly reaches down. As he eases the lid of it open...
...out leaps a tiny green ball of fur and fluffy ears, nearly giving Luke a heart attack when it clings to his face. What... the hell...?
His question of what the creature is gets answered fairly quickly, at least. The familiar shrill cry of 'miiiiieu' that it emits as Luke pries it off even earns a startled blink. His brow furrows as he holds it creature out to look at it. The thing looks... a little more than terrified, which causes the replica's expression to soften just a bit. He does remember Riki mentioning 'something from home', but he never would have thought that would apply to living things... otherwise, he might have checked his trunk a lot sooner.
"How the hell did you even get in there?"
Of course the thing can't talk back, so it settles on giving Luke another pitiful expression--its eyes widening as its head tilts just a bit. It almost looks to be saying 'I have no idea, but I'm very glad you found me before I suffocated, kind sir'. (Okay, maybe not quite all that, but Luke's going to go with it, anyway?)
Letting out a sigh, he sets the animal down on the bed and put a hand to his chin. Seriously, what now?

[WHERE EVER]
Okay, so... he has this cheagle that's sort of clingywhich is a little annoying, to be honest. Scratching at the side of his head, he makes his way down the hall. He has no idea what to even do with this little guy, but it seems to be fairly content with just... sitting there, ...on his shoulder, clinging to the collar of his shirt.
Well... why not? Luke won't complain, actually, considering it's kind of nice to see something from "home". The green fur ball suddenly makes a squeaky noise as it nearly fell off, causing Luke to blink. Reaching up, he sighs and offers a hand for creature to lean against.
Now... for a name...
And............. he's got nothing!

[2-10]
He hasn't looked in his trunk since he arrived, but he had heard that there's supposedly something new from home inside. Curiosity got the better of him and he found himself peaking inside. ...Oh.
Okay.
It's nothing too terribly special, but he'll definitely take it. Special, or not, it's something useful. Who doesn't need more clothes? Even if it is a prison jumpsuit, he's fine with that. Shrugging, he moves back to his bed and flops down backwards onto it. His thoughts begin to wander, big time. First, to Daress and Ishtar. Seriously, how are they? Were they hurt?
Then to that angry guy with the ears. He wonders if he got out, okay.
... Then to Shiro. With a huff, he sits up and finds himself leaving the room. He feels a strong urge to explore.

[WHERE EVER]
Even days laterthe mun can' specify, since there's really not a definite time period going on here, he's idly walking throughout the hallways. He's changed into said 'gift', since his other clothes need to be washed. Actually, these clothes are somehow more comfortable, anyway...
The black-haired teenager doesn't really have a destination in mind, just yet. He's just walking. Maybe he'll find something to do, at some point; but, for now, he's content strolling in and out some of the floors. Maybe you'll catch him in the lounge... maybe the cafeteria... or maybe even on that one floor with the dolls?
Seriously, who the hell knows?

[25/Meadow-CLOSED TO HAGIRE]
Well, either way, Ganta ends up on the Meadow Floor, somehow. Deciding to take a break, for now, he plops down and lets out a sigh. Drawing in his knees, he leans forward and finds himself staring at the ground. Now he realizes why he's been so adamant to continue moving, like that. The second he's not... his mind wanders; and, where it wanders to...
... is her.
Shiro. Or rather... Wretched Egg. Damn it, not this. What the hell is he supposed to do, exactly? He can't kill her. Even if he could, it's not like she would stay dead. Damn it, just stop thinking about her. Just for now, at least. Just until he's able to figure out an answer. He's not even on their planet anymore. This isn't even their home. Things are way too different here, and ...
... Damn it, nothing makes sense. This is too confusing.
With that, he lets his head drop onto his knees, a frustrated yell escaping.

[Luke/anywhere - floor 28]
Thankfully, this floor, peppered with musical instruments that all play to their own tunes, doesn't do much of quiet either. And so Asch is here, parked on the bench of a piano that tinks away behind him, with a book spread accross his lap. He turns a page and looks up - the music isn't looud enough to drown out the sound of someone approaching, or maybe he's simply in a state of mind to be more sensitive to Luke,of all people, approaching.
The shoulder-cheagle gets a weird look.]
What is it with you and cheagles?
Re: [Luke/anywhere - floor 28]
Luke had frowned a bit upon wandering into this floor. Seeing Asch here made the frown deepen a little. Wow, what are the odds...
Now, he's blinking at the question. Actually, he has no idea, either. He doesn't mind the creature, though. It's fairly quiet and shy; and, not to mention, it keeps him from letting his mind wander. Sure, at first, he was finding himself annoyed by the clingy nature of the little guy...
To put it simply, it grew on him. Kind of quickly.]
I have no idea. All I know, is I found it in my trunk. [He gives the green animal a sideways glance.] I'm just glad I found him when I did.
[... is it a 'him', though? Luke has no idea how to tell. All cheagles sound... female, to him.]
this may get feelings unintentionally
It shouldn't be so surprising to find Asch here, Luke. After all, music is one of those weird things that follows you both around. Asch looks away, closing the book on his lap.]
Typical. I get something useful, you get something fluffy.
[The tone isn't as bitchy as the words might make it sound. Not that Asch would admit it, but having a pet might be nice.]
that would be quite alright
Luke's going to give a faint look of surprise at the tone, but he doesn't do anything to point that out. Instead, he reaches up and rests a hand on the newfound uh. Friend? ...Sure, why not. Offering it a light pat on the head, he reponds to the other redhead.
The cheagle pauses in watching the slightly grumpier of the two, to give a pleased look at the patting. 'Okay, Mr. Luke, you might not be so bad an owner, after all. Between the shoulder rides and the pats, that is.'
...That's what it looks to be thinking, anyway. Something like that.]
What'd you get? [Dropping his hand to rest it on his hip, he tilts his head to the side a bit in curiosity.]
also it would be hilarious if the cheagle was actually a girl
... yep, it's gonna happen.
yey
... it'd be even more hilarious if Lorelei were the one to point it out, or something.
yep
[Luke/Hallway to Meadow IDK] excuse me while Tear loses her mask >>
At least, until she catches Luke, with a cheagle. The cheagle is green however, so she can tell it isn't Mieu. Tear's expression becomes unreadable for a moment, and she fights to actually keep her usual expression. It's not helping because it's has been a while since she's seen a cheagle, mostly Mieu, but cheagles in general are cute little things. Tear can't help but feel the need to touch it.
She fights back that urge to approach Luke at least. ]

[Sorry, but Luke's spotted you. In fact, he's going to approach you, now. The redhead gives her a smile and stops only after he's a couple of feet away. The replica seems happy to see her--which... he is, of course.]
So you decided to come here, too, huh?
[It's going to stare at you, Tear. The adorable green cheagle, that is. Blinking a couple of times, its head tilts to the side ever-so-slightly. It looks curious, but too shy to act on said curiosity. After a couple of seconds, it's leaning back a little bit, tiny hand clutching Luke's hair.]
H-hey... [He carefully pulled the little guy's hand off of his hair. Sorry, cheagle, the hair behind the ear actually hurts.]
no subject
[ She greeted him warmly, even if her expression had fixed itself again. She could see him approaching, so she didn't make any more effort to continue on her expedition. Tear was content to see him as well. It's been a while since she's seen him, but he appeared the same as ever. ]
Yes, it's rather peaceful here.
[ She replied, staring at the green cheagle. At least, she wasn't making any weird noises about it. She kept herself as controlled as she could with something so cute hiding around Luke. It didn't help that it was behaving extremely cute too. It was harder and harder for her to not touch it. ]
Is that a cheagle?

[ hallways to medical :\] I like hallways <<
[ Ishtar's lugging a few boxes of medical supplies down the hallway, when she spots Ganta sort of wandering. She's not sure what has happened in the last few weeks with him, but she's rather concerned about his well being.
To her, he is still a child, and she doesn't want him to feel alone ever. She's content though, to see him well and not injured in any way or form. At least, not from what she can see right now. ]
Hallways are good, yes. I love hallways, too, apparently.
The black-haired Deadman blinks when he hears his name, looking up to see the familiar face. His eyes widen. His face actually lights up, a relieved smile lightly gracing his lips. Yeah, he's glad you're alright, just don't make a big deal out of it, okay? He will resume frowning, shortly.]
Ishtar! [The smile fades, and he looks a little concerned.] Did you both...
[He pauses a moment.] I mean, back during that explosion. Did... either of you get hurt?
hahhaaah it's all good :D and the hallways!
Hmm?
[ She blinked at his half question before replying to his words after that. ]
Well, not really. We got separated, but that's about it. I don't remember any of us sporting anything worth mentioning for injuries, anyway.
[ She replied smiling. Forget the fact she almost got killed last week by Sephiroth. The damn bastard was still pissed at her yet she was still worried about him. ]
What about you Ganta? You have any injuries, or hurting spots?

Luke - Floor 4
Oh my god, what is that? It's so cute! Can I pet it?
no subject
Go ahead. [He pauses just for a moment.] It's a cheagle. It was my gift from home, apparently.
[The green creature is giving a curious look to the stranger, looking fairly hesitant about the situation. It also appears fairly shy and cautious--after all this is not home; and, it's nowhere near similar to home. Probably the only reason it's so clingy to Luke, is it recognizes the redhead as its saviour, of sorts. The guy rescued him from the scary, dark box.]

Luke - anywhere, stairs/hallway near floor 29?
Hiiiii! 8DDDD]
Re: Luke - anywhere, stairs/hallway near floor 29?
No, it... seems friendly, actually. The replica blinks a couple of times, before tilting his head to look at the cheagle.
Said cheagle is standing and looking at the new creature with faint surprise. It has obviously never seen one like this.]
Miieuuu... [Saying 'hello', if Highwind can understand her--yes, by the way, it is female. Poor Luke got her gender wrong. It's not the first time, though. He spent nearly half the journey thinking Mieu was a girl.]

Hiiiii. New here?
Luke; 2-12
Hey, Luke.
[He tosses the note on Shion's bed for the moment.]
no subject
Hey, 'Shirley'.
[Seriously, until he gets a better name, that one is sticking. The smirk fades and he turns his head towards the cheagle, who is peeking around the corner at the Turk.]
So, you're friends with Shion?
no subject
Wait... OH YEAH. Reno did say that, didn't he. He laughs softly.]
Yeah, you could say we're friends.
[More like family members, but he didn't really feel up to explaining.]
The name's really Reno, though. Sorry 'bout that.

"Is this a bad time, Woodpecker? ✩" Hagire asked, emerging from the staircase, and leaning against the railing. "Because as much as I'd love to talk to you, if you're going to scream at the grass instead, I can just come back later."
Starting off with a smarmy taunt. Typical Hagire. He told Wretched Egg (or Shiro, depending on which personality is awake today) he had something to do later, but she likely would be able to figure out what he meant if she bothered to track him down.

"Who the hell are you? Really?" His tone was sharp, and quite demanding.
To be a person asking questions that did not necessarily have to be answered, there was not very much respect in his voice--the guy had been messing with his head, since he got there, though. Ganta didn't have time to play games, anymore. He was, quite frankly, done with them. He wanted actual answers; and, unfortunately, the guy in front of him was the only one who could tell him anything. It was just a matter of making sure it was the truth.
He had a feeling it would not come quite so easily, though--of course, there was always the matter of this 'Toto' being unpredictable. He never knew what to expect from him, honestly.

"If your memory would just come back, you'd know, Ganta-kun. ✩" He taunted, not even slightly intimidated by Ganta's anger. "I was at that same laboratory as Shiro. That's the only hint I'm willing to give. You'll have to work harder than that to earn my love."
If, of course, Ganta got his drift.

"It's a cheagle. They're considered sacred by the Order of Lorelei, back on Auldrant. I found it in my trunk, earlier." A faintly worried laugh escapes.
"It's a good thing I did, too. I just can't believe someone would lock it up like that, knowing it could have suffocated." Actually, never mind... he can, considering this tower...
She's staring up at Shion, eyes faintly widened in innocent curiosity. Hello, human.
